Firstly, as all lesbians are aware, there is no such thing as a “bisexual.”

A Victorian lesbian group cannot exclude transgender and bisexual women from its public events as doing so would constitute unlawful discrimination, a tribunal has ruled.

In 2023 the Lesbian Action Group (LAG) applied to the Australian Human Rights Commission for a five-year exemption under the Sex Discrimination Act (SDA) to allow it to exclude transgender and bisexual women from its public events.

The commission ruled against the LAG, so the group asked the administrative appeals tribunal, now known as the administrative review tribunal, to overturn the decision.

Late on Monday, member Stewart Fenwick handed down his finding, upholding the commission’s original decision.

In his finding, Fenwick said the applicants identified as “a discrete minority within a group in the community that is already identified by their sex and sexual orientation, characteristics that afford them the protection of the SDA”.

“They seek to actively discriminate against another group in the community identifiable by their gender identity, a characteristic also protected under the SDA.

He said “endorsing overt acts of discrimination cannot be the intended effect” of exemptions within the act.

Nicole Mowbray from the LAG and the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Alliance Australia said the ruling was “extremely disappointing”.

Anna Brown, the CEO of Equality Australia, welcomed the tribunal’s finding “which recognises discrimination laws exist to protect all of us, especially communities that have experienced historical discrimination and marginalisation”.

“Transphobia has no place in our society and groups seeking to divide our community … do not represent the vast majority of lesbians or queer people more broadly.”

The commission argued that granting the LAG an exemption from usual gender discrimination laws could contribute to heightened health risks among transgender lesbians.

A “transgender lesbian” is just a man who puts on women’s clothes because he is either perverse or because he thinks it will increase his sexual value. Or both things.

But as long as you have lesbians in public, it’s difficult to argue that trannies shouldn’t be able to invade the lesbians.

Massachusetts’ first openly non-binary elected politician has taken a month off work for the sake of their mental health after being accused of laziness and asked to return to in-person meetings.

Thu Nguyen, who uses they/them pronouns, accused some of their fellow Worcester City Council members of deliberately misgendering them and referring to them as ‘it’.

However, Nguyen’s colleagues claim that any misgendering was accidental and suggested that they had only made the transphobia claims after they were challenged over their poor attendance record and ordered to return to in-person meetings.

Nguyen demanded an immediate investigation into what they described as a ‘toxic political culture’ and called out several lawmakers by name in a statement on Instagram.

They claimed to have been misgendered by Mayor Joe Petty and Councilor At-Large Kathleen Toomey. Nguyen also alleges they were referred to as ‘it’ on multiple occasions by Councilor Candy Mero-Carlson.

‘These hateful acts are unbecoming of a legislative body whose duty is to serve our communities and to honor and enforce anti-discrimination laws,’ Nguyen wrote, announcing a ‘hiatus’.

However, Mayor Petty countered Nguyen’s claims by suggesting that they, ‘arose from the decision to mandate in-person attendance for City Council and subcommittee meetings’, the Boston Globe reports.

On Tuesday Petty asked for the Municipal and Legislative Operations Committee committee to hold a public hearing on officials attending hearings remotely.

He said Nguyen has missed half of the traffic and parking subcommittees and has failed to hold a meeting for a transportation sub committee they chair.

‘Failing to participate in these essential responsibilities is unacceptable,’ Petty said. ‘I will not apologize for holding myself and my colleagues accountable to the responsibilities entrusted to us by the people we serve.’

Nguyen hit back by stating that their low and remote attendance of sessions was due to the ‘transphobia’ they had experienced from colleagues.

‘I have always tried to treat every councilor with the dignity and respect they deserve,’ Petty added.

‘I would never knowingly say anything harmful, and I firmly believe everyone deserves the dignity of having their identity honored and respected.’

Petty said Nguyen was referring to an incident in 2022 where he accidentally misgendered them during a meeting but insisted he had apologized.

‘Once brought to my attention, I quickly corrected the mistake and apologized. I am committed to ensuring my language reflects that respect at all times,’ he said.

Councilor Toomey admitted to misgendering Nguyen, but insisted it was accidental.

The Australian Bureau of Statistics has revealed for the first time that one in 20 Australians are lesbian, gay, bi, trans or gender diverse, or intersex (LGBTI+).

According to ABS head of health statistics, Robert Long, this is the “first nationally representative data of their kind in Australia”.

Young Australians were more likely to be LGBTI+, with 9.5% of people aged 16 to 24, and 7.5% in the 25-34 category identifying as LGBTI+. Overall, 4.5% of Australians aged 16 and over identified as LGBTI+.

The jurisdictions with the most LGBTI+ people were in the ACT (5.9%) and Victoria (5.3%), statistically significantly more than other states and territories – although LGBTI+ people are found across the country.

The ABS combined data from almost 45,000 people who took part in a health survey.

About 740,000 people are lesbian, gay, bisexual or use a different term to describe their sexual orientation.

One in three from those communities are married or in a de facto relationship.

Almost 179,000 people – less than 1% – are trans and gender diverse, including trans men, trans women and non-binary people.

The 2026 Australian census will include questions on gender and sexual orientation for people aged 16 years and over.

Equality Australia chief executive, Anna Brown, said until now almost 1 million people have been hidden.

“Our communities deserve to be counted and to feel seen,” she said.

This comes after California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced the state’s own version of DOGE, President-elect Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency, which is meant to eliminate wasteful government spending.

Tovar, 42, wrote in the post: “I’m working with a team at the San Francisco Department of Public Health as a consultant on weight stigma & weight neutrality.” She added: “I’m UNBELIEVABLY proud to serve the city I’ve called home for almost 20 years in this way. This consultancy is an absolute dream come true, and it’s my biggest hope and belief that weight neutrality will be the future of public health.”

Tovar, who has a master’s degree in sexuality studies from San Francisco State University, is an activist who is dedicated to the fight against weight discrimination and dieting. The Blaze reported that she is the author of several books such as “You Have the Right to Remain Fat” and “The Self-Love Revolution: Radical Body Positivity for Girls of Color.”

Tovar explained her campaign against unrealistic thin beauty standards in a 2017 interview unearthed by the publication.

“I was born a fat person into a fat-hating culture,” she said. “I’d made myself sick trying to lose weight. Even when I was trying my hardest, I wasn’t anywhere near a weight where people would say I was normal. This work felt like the only way I could survive. I wasn’t going to live a life of shame anymore.”

Tovar posted on her Instagram that in recent years she has gone “no contact” with her family.

A 20-year-old woman who says she was forced her into a sex change at age 12 has taken action against a controversial transgender youth doctor.

Clementine Breen filed a medical negligence lawsuit against Los Angeles-based doctor Johanna Olsen-Kennedy on Thursday, claiming she was rushed into irreversible treatment to become male beginning at age 12, which may have left her infertile.

The contentious lawsuit also alleges Olsen-Kennedy – the medical director of the Center for Transyouth Health and Development at Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles – administered Breen’s care without performing psychological testing or monitoring her mental health and the side effects of the treatment.

Breen’s lawsuit details her transitional journey with Olsen-Kennedy at the head, claiming her California clinic first put her on puberty blockers when she was just 12, before starting her on hormone therapy at 13.

At just 14 years old, Olsen-Kennedy’s Transyouth clinic then performed a double mastectomy on the developing teen.

Breen’s parents had allegedly intervened during their daughter’s transition, explaining to the renowned physician that they were concerned about putting their child on the testosterone treatment.

However, Olsen-Kennedy reassured the worried parents that their daughter was experiencing suicidal ideations, despite the fact that the pre-teen hadn’t ever had suicidal thoughts or expressed having them.

Still, court papers allege that Olsen-Kennedy told them ‘if they did not agree to cross-sex hormone therapy, Clementine would commit suicide.’

Adding more fuel to the fire, Breen’s doctor’s notes failed to include any commentary regarding her alleged ‘suicidal thoughts’ ahead of her life-altering breast surgery.

The notes documented during Breen’s testosterone treatment did however describe her mental state as ‘Alert … no acute distress… cooperative, smiling,’ the Economist reported.

Olsen-Kennedy was also caught in her own web again when, in a letter to a surgeon endorsing 14-year-old Breen’s double mastectomy, she falsely claimed the teen has ‘endorsed a male gender since childhood.’

Yet, this claim was proven wholly incorrect by Olsen-Kennedy’s own notes showing that Breen only began having identity questions months prior to her initial visit at 12-years-old, the Economist reported.

Breen has since backed the doctor’s notes claiming she first expressed her ‘identity crisis’ at 12, recalling an experience in 2016 where she sought advice from a school guidance counselor sharing with them that she might be trans, a lesbian or bisexual.

‘I wasn’t really sure about my identity at all,’ she told the Economist, noting she now believes she had unresolved trauma from violence at the hands of her autistic brother and sexual abuse from someone outside her family at age six.

Just three months after her initial meeting with the transgender activist and medical practitioner, Breen received a puberty-blocker implant placed in her arm and less than a year later she began testosterone treatment.

By May 2019, Breen had undergone the double mastectomy as she said the treatments helped her feel better at first but later down the line caused her mental health to turn for the worse.

Olsen-Kennedy heightened her controversial namesake earlier this year with her refusal to publish the findings of a $10 million taxpayer-funded study showing that puberty blockers did not improve the mental health of kids.

The US court might well throw this individual under the bus.

McBride, 34, became the first openly transgender person to serve as a state senator when she was elected in 2020, the first to speak at a US national political party convention in 2016, and also the first to intern at the White House in 2012, under former President Barack Obama.

Ahead of her election, McBride said he would focus instead on the issues she would prioritise, rather than the history-making nature of her candidacy.

“Whenever you are first, you often have to try to be the best version that you can,” she said in an interview with Reuters.

“But none of them matter if I don’t fulfill the responsibility of just being the best member of Congress that I can be for Delaware,” she said.

Sarah Elizabeth McBride has been a Democratic member of the Delaware Senate since January 2021. She was previously the national press secretary of the Human Rights Campaign.

An upstate New York transgender woman is suing Hooters for repeatedly refusing to hire her — while the restaurant claims she was booted for inappropriate behavior starting before she transitioned.

Brandy Livingston told NEWS 10 that she applied three times to work as a tight-topped staffer at the chain’s diner in Colonie — despite alleging that she was harassed by staff there as a regular customer.

“They would use male pronouns — they would refer to me as ‘he,’” alleged Livingston, who only recently transitioned to female.

Is that illegal now?

“I overheard one of the servers after I left the restroom talking to one of the managers and said, ‘Why are you allowing him in the women’s restroom?’ And the manager said, ‘Oh, I don’t like it any more than you do,” Livingston alleged.

Even so, Livingston says she applied three times to work there, complaining that she got rejected each time without a fair shake.

A hiring manager didn’t even care if she had suitable experience, she told News 10. “He said, ‘Oh, we don’t care about experience. We hire on the basis of personality. And there’s an image that needs to be met,’” she alleged.

The waitresses at Hooters are famous for their personalities.

It’s why people go there in the first place.

I remember the last time I went there, and my buddy was like “bruh, check out the personality on that one!”

Hooters, however, painted a vastly different picture — alleging that Livingston was asked to not return to the restaurant for alarming behavior starting before she transitioned.

The wannabe worker made multiple servers uncomfortable by proposing marriage and discussing masturbation — and even threatened to go to a gun range to practice for the next time she visited, Hooters told the outlet via lawyers.

That’s probably true.

Most of these trannies, at least the adult ones, appear to be deranged heterosexual men who are upset about women having so much power and have convinced themselves they can get some of that power by claiming to be women.

They apparently can get some power, because here we are talking about this guy.

It’s also probably true that the staff was complaining about him being in the women’s bathroom. But it seems like even hardcore tranny people should be able to realize this tranny thing is very new. We did not have this before. Expecting people to completely adapt in a matter of a few short years to men who claim to be women going into the women’s bathroom is not reasonable.

Asked about the allegations, Livingston maintained that she “never said anything about” masturbation or marriage — and that the gun-range complaint was likely a misunderstanding.

Livingston said she is “suing Hooters for sex-based discrimination, on the basis of accommodation and on the basis of employment.”

“What I really want is an apology. I’m never going to get that,” she said of her one-time favorite restaurant.

She filed a claim with the New York State Division of Human Rights, which says it found sufficient evidence that her rights may have been violated under New York Executive Law 296.

A Human Rights hearing has been set for September next year. “It’s a very slow system,” the accuser’s mom, Adelle, told the outlet. “I think that’s why more people don’t stand up for their rights.”

The complaint sparked protests outside the restaurant, with a small group of people carrying colorful, homemade signs reading “sex-based discrimination is wrong” and “trans women are women.”

Hooters is almost like “strip club lite.” Some of these waitresses will give you a handjob in the parking lot. It’s a ridiculous place.

Can you imagine what a tranny would do to such an establishment? It would completely destroy their business.

In this particular case, the restaurant appears to have a legit claim that the tranny was causing chaos at the place before he became a tranny, and he seems to have become a tranny specifically to take revenge on this restaurant.

But how is it the law that you have to hire trannies?

Well, because they added them to the Civil Rights Act, which says you have to hire niggers. It’s a social engineering program. The Constitution was first abolished by Lincoln, but the Civil Rights Act literally banned free association. America is a tyrannical crime state. A number of parents at Oyster Pond Academy pulled their children from class Friday after learning about a gender identity presentation.

“It went above and beyond what should be taught in the classroom,” said Hollie Riggs, a parent with children at the school.

The presentation focused on sexual identity, gender diversity, and relationships – all part of the curriculum.

Riggs said she first learned the presentation happened on social media Thursday evening and decided to pull her child out of class.

“I wanted to have to avoid them having that conversation with their peers after school, to avoid that communication, so I can have it at home,” Riggs said.

Some parents learned from their children that the presenter shared their social media account Riggs said, which allegedly included content intended for an older audience.

“It was the fact that how much of it was discussed and what the kids had access to after the meeting,” said Riggs.

In a statement to CTV News the Halifax Regional Centre for Education (HRCE) confirmed that there was a presentation for grade 9 students and that a representative from the Youth Project was talking to them.

“One of the presenters shared their personal social media details, which prompted some of the students to view content that is intended for an adult audience,” the statement said.

Riggs said she was upset that students who wanted to opt out were not allowed.

“When I asked him about it, he said, ‘mom I didn’t want to be there, but they weren’t letting us leave,’” said Riggs.

“My son came home from school yesterday. He was telling me about the interactions he had with the influencer,” said Greg Austin, another parent whose son attends the school. “Mostly for me as a parent, we had no idea that anybody was coming to talk to our kids.”

Austin said his son didn’t feel good about the presentation.

“He could see people were not comfortable and that other people asked to leave, and they weren’t allowed to,” said Austin. “There wasn’t any other option.”

One parent told CTV News that they had no issues with the presentation and said their child, who is navigating gender identity challenges, found the talk helpful. They said they hope these conversations continue to take place in schools.

In a landmark case, the top European Union court has ruled that all member states must recognise gender changes made in other countries within the bloc.

The European Court of Justice (ECJ), which serves as the supreme court of the European Union in matters of EU law, said this week that Romania had violated EU law by refusing to accept as valid a gender transition certificate obtained by Arian Mirzarafie-Ahi in Britain.

The case was spurred after Mirzarafie-Ahi had requested a new birth certificate in Romania, however, the local court demanded that Mirzarafie-Ahi go through a new gender recognition process in Romania rather than accepting the documents from Britain, The Telegraph reports.

Because the dual British-Romanian citizen had received the legal sex change — from female to male — prior to the UK officially leaving the EU, the Luxembourg-based court found Bucharest must accept the document.

The ruling set precedence across the EU, meaning that if a person legally changes their sex or name in any of the 27 member states, that document should be treated as legally binding in all other countries within the bloc.

In its ruling, the ECJ said: “Legislation of a Member State that refuses to recognise and enter in the birth certificate of a national a change of first name and identity lawfully acquired in another Member State, in this case the United Kingdom, is contrary to EU law.

“This also applies where the request for recognition of that change was made after the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union.”

“The refusal of a Member State to recognise a change of gender identity lawfully acquired in another Member State hinders the exercise of the right to free movement and residence.”

The decision could spark a new round of legal battles, as the ruling effectively undercuts national legislation banning people from legally changing their gender, as is the case in EU states such as Hungary.
