The Hague is not a real court. They have no ability to enforce a ruling on some random country.

Rejecting arguments made by Myanmar’s civilian leader, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, the International Court of Justice at The Hague ruled on Thursday that Myanmar must take action to protect Rohingya Muslims, who have been killed and driven from their homes in what the country’s accusers call a campaign of genocide.

The court said Myanmar must “take all measures within its power” to prevent its military or others from carrying out genocidal acts against the Rohingya, who it said faced “real and imminent risk.” It also essentially put Myanmar under court oversight, telling it to submit regular reports to the tribunal explaining what steps it had taken.

The decision is the first international court ruling against Myanmar over its military’s brutal treatment of the Rohingya. While the court has no enforcement power, any member of the United Nations can request action from the Security Council based on its rulings.

The Times just reports this as if it is all legitimate and serious, when actually it is just playing pretend. Then they slip in “well, this isn’t actually a real court, but it gives random countries permission to invade you and start killing your people.”

The chances of the US or whoever else invading Myanmar to protect these sickening Rohingya terrorists is approximately zero. The worst they could get is sanctioned.

The nation of Gambia brought the case to the tribunal, the United Nations’ highest court, in November on behalf of the 57-nation Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Gambia’s legal team asked the court to condemn Myanmar for violating the Genocide Convention. A ruling on that question could be years away.

But Gambia also asked the court for more immediate action: a temporary injunction ordering Myanmar to halt all actions that could make the Rohingya’s situation worse, including further extrajudicial killings, rape, hate speech or the leveling of homes where Rohingya once lived. The tribunal held three days of hearings on that issue last month.

“The UN must order this sovereign country to stop saying mean things about the Bangladeshi terrorists killing cops in their country.”

The court, ruling in Gambia’s favor, ordered Myanmar on Thursday to ensure that Rohingya still in the country are not subjected to genocidal acts, including killing them, causing them serious bodily or mental harm, or deliberately imposing conditions meant to bring about the destruction of the Rohingya population.

The court, headed by Judge Abdulqawi Ahmed Yusuf of Somalia, also ordered Myanmar to report back within four months on what steps it has taken, and to submit further reports to the court every six months after that for as long as the case remains open.

It’s disgusting.

A Myanmar court has sentenced two Reuters journalists to seven years in jail after finding them guilty of breaking the Official Secrets Act.

Wa Lone, 32, and Kyaw Soe Oo, 28, were originally detained in December 2017 after working on an investigation into the mass killing of a number of Rohingya villagers in Myanmar’s Rakhine state.

There was no “mass killing”! It was a hoax!

The only thing that happened was that the Rohingya were death-marched into a swamp!

The violence was part of a conflict which the UN has described as a form of “ethnic cleansing,” with military operations forcing more than 700,000 Rohingya, a minority Muslim group, to flee Myanmar to Bangladesh.

The two journalists were charged with breaching the colonial-era act, which carries a maximum penalty of 14 years in prison, in July. The two men, both Myanmar nationals, pleaded not guilty.

The verdict was due last Monday, but the judge delayed it saying he was too ill to attend court that day.

Following sentencing at the Yangon court Kyaw maintained the pair’s innocence, but added that they were unsurprised by the verdict. “We didn’t do anything wrong,” he said. “We’re not exactly shocked by the verdict.”

The reporters were bustled from the court where a small crowd of supporters momentarily blocked policemen from pushing them into a vehicle to take them back to jail.

They should have opened-fire on their supporters!

The United States Holocaust Museum is revoking a major human rights award given to Nobel Peace laureate Aung San Suu Kyi, the country’s civilian leader, saying she has failed to respond adequately to the mass killings of Myanmar’s Muslim Rohingya minority.

The museum announced Wednesday that the Elie Wiesel Award given to Suu Kyi in 2012 would be rescinded. The move is the latest blow to Suu Kyi’s international reputation, which has plummeted in view of the Rohingya massacres.

In response to the museum’s action, a spokesman for Suu Kyi said the decision appeared to be based on “the wrong information” and that it made the Myanmar government “very disappointed and sad.”

Suu Kyi was a Mandela-like figure in Myanmar who spent years under house arrest for opposing the country’s military dictatorship. She became an international rallying point and won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1991. Her party won a landslide victory in 2015 and she assumed the newly created post of state counselor, although the military retains significant political and economic power.

Hopes had been high for Suu Kyi to make the transition from revered opposition figure to reformist political leader, given her long campaign for democracy. Instead, human rights advocates consider her a disappointment, particularly in her response to the Rohingya killings.

The kikes are getting increasingly agitated that no one cares about their dumb attempt to force-meme a “humanitarian intervention” in Myanmar, so they’re going all out with some gibberish about their stupid lampshade hoax.

They were being blindfolded and bound, marched away in small groups, then butchered and shot as they begged for their lives.

What had started out as a quiet Sunday in northwestern Myanmar had spiraled into an incomprehensible hell — one of the bloodiest massacres reported in the Southeast Asian nation since government forces launched a vicious campaign to drive out the country’s Rohingya minority in late August.

By the time it was over, there was so much blood on the ground, it had pooled into long rivulets across the uneven earth, among bits of human flesh and the fragments of shattered skulls.

When Duza finally dared to emerge from his hiding place, he wondered how anyone could have survived.

The compound he grew up in was now consumed by an ethereal silence. His wife, daughter, and five young sons were nowhere to be seen. And as he crept toward a backdoor to escape, he stumbled upon the corpse of an unknown boy sprawled on the floor.

“Oh Allah!” he thought. “What have they done to us? What have they done to my family?”

You can go read the whole long thing if you like, or you can just take my word for it that it is all just “eye-witness accounts” with no actual evidence.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry established clandestine contact with Bangladesh—a Muslim country without any diplomatic ties with Jerusalem—to offer a significant humanitarian aid package for the hundreds of thousands of Muslim refugees from the Rohingya minority who fled to the country for fear of the Myanmar (former Burma) military.

Bangladesh expressed gratitude to Israel for the offer, but informed it that it cannot accept aid due to the sensitivity involved and the political ramifications that could ensue.

The Israeli foreign Ministry is reportedly exploring other routes through which to provide humanitarian assistance to the Rohingya refugees, who are still languishing in Myanmar in camps run by the UN or other international organizations.

Why would Israel care about brown Moslems dying thousands of miles away while they kill brown Moslems living next to them?

Clearly, the only reason they would pretend to care would be to manipulate the global situation.

The Jews are pushing for a Western military intervention in Myanmar. Which would be problematic on a number of levels, the most severe level being that the country is a close ally of China. So we’re talking about a Vietnam Part Two situation.

Right now, I doubt that this will actually happen. But the Jews will push for things regardless if they are plausible, because they also make money doing it.

All of these Rohingya rats have the option of leaving the country.

The top U.N. human rights official has said he would not be surprised if a court one day ruled that acts of genocide had been committed against the Rohingya Muslim minority in Myanmar, according to a television interview to be shown on Monday.

U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra‘ad al-Hussein told the BBC that attacks on the Rohingya had been “well thought out and planned” and he had asked Myanmar’s leader Aung San Suu Kyi to do more to stop the military action.

She’s not stopping it because she supports it. She has said as much.

But the UN can’t admit that because they celebrated her as this great female icon. They should have known better than to believe feminism would work on nonwhite women.

Zeid has already called the campaign “a textbook example of ethnic cleansing” and asked rhetorically if anyone could rule out “elements of genocide”, but his latest remarks put the case plainly, toughening his stance.

“The elements suggest you cannot rule out the possibility that acts of genocide have been committed,” he said, according to excerpts of his interview provided in advance by the BBC.

“It’s very hard to establish because the thresholds are high,” he said. “But it wouldn’t surprise me in the future if the court were to make such a finding on the basis of what we see.”

Myanmar denies committing atrocities against the Rohingya and has previously rejected U.N. criticism for its “politicisation and partiality”. The Myanmar military says the crackdown is a legitimate counter-insurgency operation.

Zeid said Myanmar’s “flippant” response to the serious concerns of the international community made him fear the current crisis “could just be the opening phases of something much worse”.

He told the BBC he feared jihadi groups could form in the huge refugee camps in Bangladesh and even launch attacks in Myanmar, perhaps targeting Buddhist temples there.

The 80-year-old pontiff, the first to travel to Myanmar, was welcomed at the airport by children from different minority groups in bright, bejewelled clothes, who gave him flowers and received a papal embrace in return.

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley on Thursday called on countries to suspend providing weapons to Myanmar over violence against Rohingya Muslims until the military puts sufficient accountability measures in place.

It was the first time the United States called for punishment of military leaders behind the repression, but stopped short of threatening to reimpose U.S. sanctions which were suspended under the Obama administration.

“We cannot be afraid to call the actions of the Burmese authorities what they appear to be – a brutal, sustained campaign to cleanse the country of an ethnic minority,” Haley told the U.N. Security Council, the first time Washington has echoed the U.N.’s accusation that the displacement of hundreds of thousands of people in Rakhine State was ethnic cleansing.

Says the ethnic minority increasingly concerned about being cleansed.

Myanmar national security adviser Thaung Tun said at the United Nations on Thursday there was no ethnic cleansing or genocide happening in Myanmar. He told the Security Council that Myanmar had invited U.N. Secretary General Antonio Guterres to visit. A U.N. official said Guterres would consider visiting Myanmar under the right conditions.

China and Russia both expressed support for the Myanmar government. Myanmar said earlier this month it was negotiating with China and Russia, which have veto powers in the Security Council, to protect it from any possible action by the council.

So the BBC has come out with a rambling insight piece entitled “How much power does Aung San Suu Kyi really have?” to go along with their “muh oppression Moosleems” pieces. The article claims that Daw Suu doesn’t really have that much power and maybe she isn’t really making the call on the genocide.

The piece is written by BBC News Southeast Asia correspondent Jonathan Head, but is clearly a narrative control piece brainstormed by the editorial board.

They blame the President and the military.

Then they even claim that the media is just too free.

The media is also a factor. One of the biggest changes in Myanmar over the past five years has been the proliferation of new, independent media outlets, and the dramatic growth of mobile phone and internet use, in a country that scarcely had landlines a decade ago.

But very few media have shown what is happening inside Bangladesh, or the suffering of the Rohingya. Most have focused instead on displaced Buddhists and Hindus inside Rakhine, who are far fewer in number. The popularity of social media has allowed disinformation and hate speech to spread quickly.

Anyway – the BBC ultimately clears Daw Suu of culpability in the genocide she is overseeing.

So Aung San Suu Kyi has very little power over events in Rakhine State. And speaking out in support of the Rohingya would almost certainly prompt an angry reaction from Buddhist nationalists.

Whether, with her immense moral authority, it might start to change public prejudice against the Rohingya, is an open question. She has calculated that it is a gamble not worth taking. She is known to be very stubborn once she has made up her mind.

But the BBC just assumes that she would want to stop a genocide if she could.

Because women and democracy and stuff or whatever.

Even though she has shown zero indication that she gives any micro-fraction of a single fuck about these inbred terrorist animals.

Is there a risk that the military might step in and replace her, should she challenge what they are doing in Rakhine? They have the power to do so. In the current climate, they might even have some public support.

At the time this was dismissed as a sham. But it turns out Myanmar’s political development over the next 14 years followed that roadmap closely. Even after its own political party was trounced in 2015’s election, the military remains by far the most powerful institution in the country.

Only this time, it has Aung San Suu Kyi as a shield, to be battered by the international outcry over its actions.

Daw Suu isn’t a shield – she is the sword of the people!

Instead of fetishizing Suu as their perfect little nonwhite female democracy advocate, maybe they should instead actually try to understand her and thereby understand why so many people the world over want to exterminate Moslems and other disgusting “minority” populations!

Because genocide is gaining popular support as a method of dealing with social and economic problems.
