Cyber-war is war.

No one dies, but there are strategic bombings where no one dies.

RT:

The Biden administration is gearing up to carry out cyberattacks aimed at Russian networks, the New York Times has reported, describing the provocation as a retaliatory measure designed to send Moscow a message.

Citing officials familiar with the operation, the Times said that a “series of clandestine actions” aimed at Russia is expected to begin over the next three weeks and that the cyberattacks are intended to be “evident” to President Vladimir Putin and Russia’s intelligence services, but not to the “wider world.”

The attack will likely coincide with new economic sanctions against Moscow, as well as an executive order from President Joe Biden that would bolster security for US government networks.

In an interview last week, Jake Sullivan, Biden’s national security adviser, told the Times that he supported carrying out clandestine operations that would be “understood by the Russians, but may not be visible to the broader world,” arguing that such actions would force a “broad strategic discussion” with Moscow.

The allegedly imminent cyberattack has been framed as a retaliatory measure in response to the high-profile SolarWinds breach. The hack, first reported in December, provided backdoor access to a widely used network-management program distributed by the Texas-based SolarWinds company. The hackers were able to use the exploit to compromise the systems of more than 100 commercial firms around the world, as well as nine US government agencies. Described as one of the largest and most sophisticated cyberattacks to date, it took eight months before the breach was discovered.

Washington has argued that the attack could have only been carried out with the assistance of a foreign government. US intelligence agencies have alleged that the hack was “likely Russian in origin,” but has not provided evidence for the claim. Moscow has denied any involvement in the incident, calling the accusation “yet another unsubstantiated attempt” by the US to smear Russia.

You obviously can’t know who hacked anything.

I asked my friend weev about this once, and he said that attributions are always stupid, as it is literally impossible to know.

When they do provide “evidence,” none of it ever means anything.

Remember James Comey at the congressional hearings squirming about “fingerprints” on the WikiLeaks “hacks”?

That was just total nonsense produced for boomers who know nothing about the way the internet works. That’s why they kept using that term “fingerprints.” That fits into a boomer’s brain comfortably.

All of this hacking stuff is just cascading gobbledygook.

What is real is that Joe Biden’s claim that “America is back” implied what you thought it would mean when an entrenched establishment politician said that.

After four years of mostly calm on the warfront under Donald Trump, Joe Biden’s people are aggressively escalating tensions all over the globe.

China, Russia, Iran, Iraq and Syria – everywhere there were previous tensions, established by previous lunatic politicians, the Biden Administration is picking up the ball and running with it.

Meanwhile, by his math, $1400 is really $2000, and by the WaPo’s reckoning, $1400 is a shower of money.

Germany: Woman Dies During Ransomware Attack on Hospital https://www.anglinarchive.com/2020/09/18/germany-woman-dies-during-ransomware-attack-on-hospital/ Fri, 18 Sep 2020 00:00:00 +0000

Imagine just how fragile the fundamental infrastructure of the West actually is.

The Verge:

A woman in Germany died during a ransomware attack on the Duesseldorf University Hospital, in what may be the first death directly linked to a cyberattack on a hospital. The hospital couldn’t accept emergency patients because of the attack, and the woman was sent to a health care facility around 20 miles away, the Associated Press reported.

The cyberattack was not intended for the hospital, according to a report from the German news outlet RTL. The ransom note was addressed to a nearby university. The attackers stopped the attack after authorities told them it had actually shut down a hospital.

Health care facilities are one of the biggest targets for cyberattacks, and cybersecurity experts have warned for years that most hospitals aren’t prepared. They rely heavily on devices, like radiology equipment, that are often connected to the internet. Without those tools, they aren’t as able to treat patients.

“If systems are disrupted over the internet, by an adversary or an accident, that can have a profound impact on patient care,” says Beau Woods, a cybersecurity advocate and cybersafety innovation fellow with the Atlantic Council, told The Verge last year.

Even attacks that target patient data, and don’t directly impact medical devices, can hurt patient outcomes: one study found that a hospital’s death rate from heart attacks goes up in the years after a data breach. That’s probably because hospitals have to divert resources to respond to the attack or upgrade software in a way that changes how doctors operate.

Major cyberattacks, like the 2017 WannaCry cyberattack, have shut down major hospital systems — WannaCry took down the United Kingdom’s National Health Service, for example. No deaths were directly linked to that attack, but most experts warned it was only a matter of time.

Was this a good idea, to put all of this stuff on the internet?

Are the fractions of pennies saved by digitizing everything worth the risks involved?

Just imagine if we end up in a real war with say, China. The first thing they’re going to do is shut down infrastructure.

Will it even be possible to keep fighting after that?

We built our infrastructure with basically no defenses at all.

Virginia: Man Arrested for “Criminal Trolling” of Some Black Asshole is Denounced by Own Mother https://www.anglinarchive.com/2019/09/26/virginia-man-arrested-for-criminal-trolling-of-some-black-asshole-is-denounced-by-own-mother/ Thu, 26 Sep 2019 00:00:00 +0000 Daily Stormer

The Swoopening continues.

Last week, we reported on a black man who dropped out of a political race because someone said something mean to him online, and that the poor bastard was arrested for making fun of this whiny nigger.

The grizzly details of this brutal assault on freedom of speech are now emerging.

Perhaps the grizzliest detail of all is that the troll’s own mother denounced him as evil. I have never, ever heard of a mother denouncing her own children to the secret police before. If it occurred in the USSR or during Maoist times in China, it would be news to me because I don’t think that even people who had been brutally massacred and butchered in the millions by Communists for decades would have tolerated it.

Statesville Record & Landmark:

A white man charged with cyberstalking and making racist threats against a black activist in Virginia was ordered Monday to remain in custody, in a case that could test the boundaries of when online trolling becomes a criminal threat.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Thomas Wilson ordered Daniel McMahon to continue to be jailed, saying his mental instability, ability to obtain firearms and praise of mass shootings in Pittsburgh and Charleston, South Carolina, through his online communications raise concerns he poses a threat to the community.

“He is cheering on mass shooters. That is what really bothers me,” Wilson said of the 31-year-old Brandon, Florida, man. “This is a red flag.”

What kind of red flag?

Although to be fair, this is disrespectful to the USSR, which actually had more freedom of speech than the USSA now and was a place where mothers loved their children and did what they could to protect them from secret police, not sell them down the river for being mean to niggers on the Internet.

McMahon’s defense attorney asked the magistrate to let him be released into the custody of his father on $50,000 bond. Attorney Nicholas Matassini argued that McMahon’s diatribes were only political speech.

“It’s protected by the law. I don’t think it exhibits any manifest danger to the community,” Matassini said.

A few minutes later, Assistant U.S. Attorney Carlton Gammons told the judge it wasn’t free speech.

The First Amendment is being whittled away before our very eyes.

And of course: they won’t print the actual quotes. As far as we know, this guy could have sent the Navy Seal Copypasta to this nigger.

And it had to be something like that, or they would print the quotes or at least describe the content as something other than “a threat of violence.”

The fact that the lawyer is saying it was free political speech indicates that there is very serious room for confusion here.

“Any threat of violence against another person is not free speech,” Gammons said. “You can’t do that.”

An indictment unsealed last week in Virginia said McMahon expressed white supremacist views on his social media accounts. It said McMahon used his social media accounts to intimidate the activist, Don Gathers, and interfere with his campaign to run for a seat on the Charlottesville, Virginia, city council.

During Monday’s hearing, the prosecutor presented as evidence some of the comments McMahon had made on social media, including ones repeating that Gathers needed to be stopped through “a diversity of tactics.” Gammons said that term meant physical violence.

Oof. Here we go again. Going full exto on social media is A VERY BAD IDEA, FOLKS.

Nothing good can come of it.

But, it seems that some people simply don’t care about trivialities like getting themselves and their online friends arrested or put on some sort of FBI watchlist.

If you do care about your well-being you should avoid these people like the plague.

That being said, McMahon didn’t deserve to have his own mother sell him out to the police. No one deserves that.

McMahon’s mother told detectives that her son didn’t like African Americans, Jews or gay people and that she worried her son exhibited some of the characteristics of mass shooters, said Siobhan Maseda, a detective for the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, who assisted in McMahon’s arrest.

The evidence continues to mount. Western wahmen HATE their own sons and go out of their way to hurt them in any way that they can purely out of spite and a twisted ideology fed to them by Jews and other nasty women.

Their punishment will be very severe.

Former Justice Department attorney Justin Levitt, a law professor at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, said he doesn’t know of any other recent cases in which someone has been charged with the federal crime of interfering with a candidate for elective office. The Justice Department doesn’t prosecute internet trolls for spewing hateful messages; the conduct must rise to the level of an actual threat of violence or something similarly serious, Levitt said.

This story is indeed unprecedented. We are seeing the First Amendment being redefined right before our eyes.

I would advise keeping your head down while in the online trenches and keeping your powder dry.

The Cyber simply isn’t for amateurs anymore.

Taking proper safety precautions like using a VPN, throwaway e-mail accounts and burner SIM cards before jacking into the Cyber battlefield are musts.

Kids are getting swooped on left and right by the Cyber police.

That means that amateur hour is over. Time to go full cyber-warrior or go home.

President Trump Wants to Combat Internet Piracy https://www.anglinarchive.com/2018/03/16/president-trump-wants-to-combat-internet-piracy/ Fri, 16 Mar 2018 00:00:00 +0000 Roy Batty

President Trump is about to make a big mistake. He’s about to get the internet mad at him.

Fox Business:

President Donald Trump is crafting a way to combat intellectual property theft by China and protect U.S. shows such as HBO’s “Game of Thrones” from being pirated online.

The HBO hit series has taken the crown as the most pirated TV show on the internet for the sixth year in a row. According to the Motion Picture Association of America, 90% of the viewership of U.S. movies in China is illegal.

…

The National Bureau of Asian Research puts the cost of Chinese intellectual property theft to the U.S. economy as high as $600 billion annually.

One entertainment industry insider says Chinese theft of U.S. entertainment properties must be stopped.

“This is a big ongoing problem and issue for Hollywood. We do the money, we do creativity and they rip us off and Trump should go after them on this one,” Fox News’ “In the Foxlight” host Michael Tammero said.

Look. Trump is a bit of a Boomer when it comes to the cyber. Frankly, we should be thanking the Chinese for pirating all these shitty Hollywood films.

The faster we bankrupt Hollywood the better.

All that junk they produce and beam into the heads of the world’s impressionable youth needs to be stopped. And the best way to do that is to get the massive chink market to rip off Hollywood. That’s how the Jewish golem gets stopped [that and metoo lol. -ed.].

So this is one of those moments when the enemy – if you think the Chinks are our enemy – is doing us a favor.

But there is a ray of light. Seems that Donald Trump is using this to push his MAGA agenda forward.

Valliere said he expects the Trump administration to “hit them hard” with anti-China tariffs on imports that include Chinese investments and visas for students who want to study in the U.S.

“I don’t think Trump can be dissuaded. I don’t think Congress can stop him and the interesting angle is that a lot of Democrats would go along with this as well.”

Yes, please. No more chink students. There are simply too many.

I get that they’re better than brown people, but please enough is enough.
