A regional public health department in Idaho is no longer providing COVID-19 vaccines to residents in six counties after a narrow decision by its board.

Southwest District Health appears to be the first in the nation to be restricted from giving COVID-19 vaccines. Vaccinations are an essential function of a public health department.

While policymakers in Texas banned health departments from promoting COVID vaccines and Florida’s surgeon general bucked medical consensus to recommend against the vaccine, governmental bodies across the country haven’t blocked the vaccines outright.

“I’m not aware of anything else like this,” said Adriane Casalotti, chief of government and public affairs for the National Association of County and City Health Officials. She said health departments have stopped offering the vaccine because of cost or low demand, but not based on “a judgment of the medical product itself.”

The six-county district along the Idaho-Oregon border includes three counties in the Boise metropolitan area. Demand for COVID vaccines in the health district has declined — with 1,601 given in 2021 to 64 so far in 2024. The same is true for other vaccines: Idaho has the highest childhood vaccination exemption rate in the nation, and last year, the Southwest District Health Department rushed to contain a rare measles outbreak that sickened 10.

On Oct. 22, the health department’s board voted 4-3 in favor of the ban — despite Southwest’s medical director testifying to the vaccine’s necessity.

Board members in favor of the decision argued people can get vaccinated elsewhere, and that providing the shots was equivalent to signing off on their safety. (Some people may be reluctant to get vaccinated or boosted because of misinformation about the shots despite evidence that they’re safe and have saved millions of lives.)

Canadian journalist Ian Vandaelle has died at the age of 33 after an unexplained illness, according to a social media post by his partner and fellow journalist Stephanie Hughes.

Vandaelle drew the ire of unvaccinated Canadians after he advocated for vaccine mandates during the Covid-19 pandemic, advocating for both the “carrot” and the “stick” approach.

“Incentivize getting the vaccine however we like … and require vaccination to do … non-essential things. Wanna go to a bar to watch the game? Passport,” Vandaelle wrote on X (Twitter) in 2021.

While employed by BNN Bloomberg, Vandaelle wrote articles with headlines such as Vaccines, not stimulus will ease Canada’s COVID hit.

Friends and colleagues of Vandaelle report being “saddened” by the news of his death. However, critics of the vaccine mandates were less kind, with some describing his passing as “karma.”

An Ontario father has filed a $35.6 million lawsuit against Pfizer after his 17-year-old son died after receiving the COVID jab.

According to an October 16 report, New Tecumseth resident Dan Hartman filed a wrongful death lawsuit against vaccine company Pfizer, after he revealed that a U.S. doctor declared that his son, Sean, died as a result of taking the experimental COVID shot.

“On the morning of September 27, 2021, 33 days after receiving the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccination, Sean Hartman was found deceased in his bedroom by his mother,” said Sheikh Law lawyer Umar Sheikh in a court filing viewed by the Western Standard.

“The Plaintiff pleads that Sean Hartman died as a result of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccination,” he continued.

The lawsuit comes after Hartman announced in July that an American pathologist determined that the novel COVID-19 jab was responsible for Sean’s sudden death. Sean had received the experimental jab because it was mandated by his local hockey league.

He should try suing these faggots too while he’s at it

According to Hartman, after his son died, he applied to Canada’s Vaccine Injury Support Program (VISP) but was denied. 

“They said there is no proof the vaccine killed Sean. There’s also no proof that it didn’t. In order to appeal, I had to have new medical evidence. Thank God above and all you people who helped me, I do have that medical evidence,” noted Hartman.

Sean is reported to have suffered from “multiple” health problems “immediately” after getting the jab. His problems included myocarditis, a form of heart inflammation.  

With the lawsuit, Hartman is seeking $35.6 million in damages, specialized damages, prejudgment and post-judgment interest, court costs, and any further relief which the court considers to be just.

According to Sheikh, Pfizer “owed a duty of care to Sean Hartman to accurately inform him of all risks associated with the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccination.”

Sheikh added that Pfizer breached the standard of care by ignoring and misrepresenting the results of the safety trials by failing to properly record adverse effects and by continuing to distribute the shot to Canadians despite growing safety concerns.

Sheikh concluded by saying Pfizer “concealed the fact the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccination had severe possible risks and outcomes when administered, including but not limited to myocarditis, pericarditis and death, to the public, healthcare providers, and regulatory authorities, including Health Canada.”

The Oregon State Board of Education unanimously voted on Thursday to remove proof of mastery in reading, writing, and math in order to graduate from high school until 2029.

The board argued that requiring all students to pass one of several standardized tests or to create an in-depth assignment their teacher judged as meeting state standards was a harmful hurdle for students of color, disabled students, or those learning English as a second language. The standardized tests will still be given but will not play a role in determining whether students receive their diplomas.

“We haven’t suspended any sort of assessments,” state board member Vicky Lopez Sanchez said during the board meeting. “The only thing we are suspending is the inappropriate use of how those assessments were being used. I think that really is in the best interest of Oregon students.”

Opponents of the new order argued that removing the requirement devalues an Oregon diploma. The opponents argued that helping students with low academic skills through extra instruction in writing and math has helped them. However, supporters claim that forcing students to spend extra time on schoolwork eliminates their opportunity to take an elective and does not translate to how they perform after graduation.

“We are unable to ethically make a different decision at this point. It is also unethical for us to continue to require this when we know it can continue to cause harm and has had no change in how students are performing,” Board of Education Chairwoman Guadalupe Martinez Zapata told ABC’s KATU-2.

High school students’ scores on the ACT college admissions test have dropped to their lowest in more than three decades, showing a lack of student preparedness for college-level coursework, according to the nonprofit organization that administers the test.

Scores have been falling for six consecutive years, but the trend accelerated during the COVID-19 pandemic. Students in the class of 2023 whose scores were reported Wednesday were in their first year of high school when the virus reached the U.S.

“The hard truth is that we are not doing enough to ensure that graduates are truly ready for postsecondary success in college and career,” said Janet Godwin, chief executive officer for the nonprofit ACT.

Many universities have made standardized admissions tests optional amid criticism that they favor the wealthy and put low-income students at a disadvantage. Some including the University of California system do not consider ACT or SAT scores even if submitted.

Scientists say they have found evidence that people may experience “long colds”, acute respiratory infections with long-term symptoms.

Some of the most common symptoms include coughing, stomach pain, and diarrhoea more than four weeks after the initial infection. The severity of an illness appears to be a key driver of risk of long-term symptoms.

The study, led by Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), was published in the Lancet’s EClinicalMedicine journal.

The findings suggest there may be long-lasting health impacts after non-Covid acute respiratory infections such as colds, influenza, or pneumonia, that have been going unrecognised.

However, the researchers do not yet have evidence suggesting that the symptoms have the same severity or duration as long Covid.

Hopefully, they’ll find it by the time Pfizer figures out a way to make money out of this.

A judge who struck down government rules that children must wear masks at school in a German state in 2021 stands to lose his legal career and pension, and has been handed a two-year suspended prison sentence for “perverting the law”.

Judge Christian Dettmar struck down the order by German state Thuringia in 2021 that, as part of Coronavirus lockdown procedures, children must wear masks while at school, should keep a minimum distance from each other, and should be subjected to virus tests. Ruling that this was not compatible with the welfare of the children involved, Judge Dettmar ordered two schools in the city of Weimar, Thuringa no longer had to enforce the order, and the judge’s decision caused instant outrage in state government.

His ruling was overturned by a higher court following a complaint by the state’s education department meaning masks returned to schools, and a prosecution against Judge Dettmar was launched, as he stood accused of “perverting the law” and ruling on a matter he did not have authority over. It was also alleged when making his original decision, the judge had only listened to evidence from experts who were critical of lockdown rules.

Now the Thuringian district court has found against the judge, giving him a two-year suspended sentence. His lawyers had argued for acquittal and the prosecution had asked for a three-year sentence, so now both will appeal the sentence, reports local radio station MDR which has been following the story since it broke in 2021.

During the case, the court heard allegations that the judge had made the ruling as a political statement against lockdowns rather than out of genuine concern for the children involved, and that he had allegedly deleted emails and files from his computers to cover his tracks. The defence argued the trial was politically motivated and was intended to silence dissenters, while Judge Detmarr himself said he felt no regret and would make the same ruling again “out of deep inner conviction”.

In this context: what is the difference between a court ruling and a political statement?

If he believes masks are bad for children, then he’s going to rule that masks are bad for children. This was obviously also a political issue. So he would politically be against it as well.

There are a lot of types of court rulings that necessarily align with the politics of the judge, because your politics reflect your views on truth and justice.

If he supported lockdowns, he would have ruled the opposite way.

Official statistics reveal that there was an unusually high number of deaths in Canada in 2022, which some experts warn is becoming the norm.

According to Statistics Canada, there was a 27 percent increase in deaths of Canadians up to age 44 in the last five months of 2022, a phenomena which Dr. John Campbell says is not unique to Canada but is occurring worldwide.

“I’m afraid sadly we are seeing these ongoing excess deaths and what is just astounding is the degree to which this is not being covered in mainstream media,” Campbell said after examining the newly released stats.

Analyzing the statistics, 27 percent excess deaths means that in August and September 2022, 1,597 more deaths occurred than expected in the aforementioned cohort.

Excess deaths is the term used by statisticians when the number of deaths exceeds the number of expected deaths in a given time period, in a given population.

According to Campbell, increased deaths would not have been surprising in 2020 and 2021, since those years marked the peak of COVID-19. However, he pointed out that most deaths occurred during October and November, 2022.

While some of the deaths could be attributed to the mild omicron COVID-19 variant, Campbell pointed out that the number of deaths continue to remain high after the variant became more manageable.

He also pointed out that the numbers provided by the Federal government were listed as “adjusted number of deaths,” which Campbell says means the real number of deaths was actually even higher.

According to statistician and professor Norman Fenton, if the number of deaths on the graph is above the light blue line, which shows the number of expected deaths, it is probable that there were excess deaths. The graph shows the number of deaths in 2022 being consistently above the expected deaths, with a few exceptions.

Similarly, Fenton explained that if the number of deaths consistently exceeds the red line, marking the upper prediction of expected deaths, there is a 95% probability that there have been excess deaths.

Furthermore, if the number is consistently above the red line, it shows that something new is causing the deaths. The 2022 graph reveals deaths were recorded as usually above the red line.

Campbell considers these statistics “concerning but sadly consistent with what we’ve seen in other countries,” specifically United Kingdom and Australia.

In its 2023 Provisional Report, Statistics Canada referenced drug overdoses and the omicron variant as likely causes of the increased deaths.

It made no mention of the release of the COVID-19 vaccine and its administration to thousands of Canadians, despite extensive reports of severe side effects and heart attacks.

South Africa ranked last out of 57 countries assessed in the Progress in International Reading Literacy Study, which tested the reading ability of 400,000 students globally in 2021.

Illiteracy among South African children rose from from 78% in 2016 to 81%.

The country’s education minister blamed the results on school closures during the Covid-19 pandemic.
