The mass hysteria surrounding this coronavirus pandemic is doing all kinds of wacky things to people’s minds.

Daily Mail:

A teenage boy missing in woodland for more than a week could be using his survival skills to self-isolate after despairing when coronavirus cancelled his A-level exams.

The police search for 17-year-old Oliver Strode has now entered its eighth day after he went missing while on a bike ride in Alice Holt Forest, Surrey.

It has since been revealed that the teenager had previously recorded a series of ‘Bushcraft Bible’ videos on how to survive in the wild.

His father, Richard, said he believed his son began to despair when he discovered his A-level qualifications could be decided on his mock exam results, which he had not performed well in.

His family suspect he may have gone missing on purpose so he could have a go at surviving in the forest with his knowledge of bushcraft.

Oliver had previously created a video series called The Bushcraft Bible which included tutorials on how to build a makeshift water filter, solo overnight survival and how to gut a fish and make a handheld bowstring.

Everyone is told that this virus is everywhere and that everyone will die unless they stop interacting with people and lock themselves up in their homes.

For someone who believes that, it isn’t really illogical to just go full hermit to wait it out in the woods.

The narrative of the mainstream media and the way in which governments are facing this virus is driving people over the edge.

I’m surprised that Sweden is now suddenly doing something that makes sense for a change.

AFP:

While most of Europe is firmly locked down in a bid to curb the spread of COVID-19, Sweden is taking a softer line, keeping primary schools, restaurants and bars open and even encouraging people to go outside for a nip of air.

This stands in stark contrast to the urgent tone elsewhere and has sparked heated debate whether Sweden is really doing the right thing.

…

Gatherings of more than 500 people have been banned — compared to more than two people in Britain and Germany — and the government has advised secondary schools and universities to close their facilities and conduct classes online.

On Tuesday, the government announced that restaurants and bars would only be allowed to provide table service to avoid crowding but stopped short of actually closing them.

Health authorities also urged people to reconsider trips to visit relatives over Easter.

But for many, life is carrying on close to normal.

Bars and restaurants were full at the weekend, and Stockholm’s city buses have been jam-packed at rush hour despite the social distancing recommendations.

…

Grilled by media about their apparently relaxed response to the pandemic, Swedish politicians respond that the government will take its cue from experts at the country’s Public Health Agency.

The agency has yet to call for stricter measures, arguing that the elderly should stay home, not children.

“As soon as the Public Health Agency requests that the government make a decision, we will do it this quickly,” Health Minister Lena Hallengren, snapping her fingers, said earlier this month.

But not everybody shares the government’s faith in the agency, with some accusing it of putting lives at risk.

This has led to a stream of vitriol on social media directed at the agency and its main spokesperson, state epidemiologist Anders Tegnell.

The amount of hateful comments became so overwhelming that the agency’s director, Johan Carlson, felt compelled to defend Tegnell, saying: “I think it’s close to unworthy, what he has been subjected to”.

The mounting pressure has not changed the authorities’ stance that draconian measures are not effective enough to justify their impact on society.

On Monday, Sweden’s former state epidemiologist and current advisor to the World Health Organization (WHO), Johan Giesecke, encouraged Swedes to go out and enjoy the spring sun.

“Bring a friend and walk a metre apart. Don’t hug your neighbour. Bring a thermos and sit on a park bench. It’s bad for your health to sit at home too,” Giesecke told broadcaster SVT’s morning show.

The Netherlands is also taking a common-sense approach to the pandemic.

Vice:

As most of the world practices social distancing, the Dutch are trying a different strategy to protect the vulnerable from the coronavirus: They’re aiming for so-called “herd immunity,” or what happens when enough people have survived the illness to effectively slow its spread.

“As we wait for a vaccine or medicine, we can slow down the virus spreading and at the same time build up herd immunity in a controlled manner,” Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte said last week during an update on COVID-19, the contagious respiratory illness caused by the coronvirus.

Like a lot of other world leaders, Rutte is now in the business of calming his citizens down. But he’s also a pragmatist.

“The reality is also that in the coming period a large part of the population will be infected with the virus,” he added.

So unlike the Italians or the French, the Dutch are not on lockdown. Schools and restaurants have been told to close, but strict social distancing hasn’t been imposed. People are still hanging out in parks. Even the coffee shops that sell weed are open, though now only for to-go orders.

Mexico, too, refuses to promote mass hysteria.

AP:

Many countries in Latin America have taken aggressive measures to deal with the coronavirus such as closing their borders, dock and airports to foreigners, declaring states of emergencies and ordering business shutdowns.

Mexico, by contrast, has so far taken a “business as usual” attitude. People still crowd street markets picking through piles of fruit and vegetables. Cars and trucks continue to fill the streets and commuters throng subway trains, though the volume of traffic is noticeably lower.

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and his government have said a shutdown of the country would disproportionately hurt poor people and also be a psychological weight on all Mexicans. They say there is no reason to impose major restrictions before health officials deem them necessary — a moment they are expecting in late March, based on the virus’ pattern elsewhere and the Feb. 27 date of Mexico’s first confirmed case.

The lockdown really is a psychological weight on people, especially because it only exists to save the lives of older persons, as well as fat and sick individuals who don’t even go out that much to begin with.

Healthy, social people want to go out, do cocaine and perform sexual acts on hookers who are cosplaying as Corona.

Unless governments start delivering cocaine and hookers wearing Corona costumes, civil unrest will rise.

Countries are Starting to Hoard Food, Threatening Global Trade https://www.anglinarchive.com/2020/03/26/countries-are-starting-to-hoard-food-threatening-global-trade/ Thu, 26 Mar 2020 00:00:00 +0000 Pomidor Quixote

Evil countries are trying to secure food for their own people.

This kind of food nationalism should have stopped after the Jews were cooked in ovens by the Evil Cannibal Nazis.

Now Culinary Nazism is resurrecting.

Bloomberg:

It’s not just grocery shoppers who are hoarding pantry staples. Some governments are moving to secure domestic food supplies during the conoravirus pandemic.

Kazakhstan, one of the world’s biggest shippers of wheat flour, banned exports of that product along with others, including carrots, sugar and potatoes. Serbia has stopped the flow of its sunflower oil and other goods. Russia is leaving the door open to shipment bans and said it’s assessing the situation weekly.

To be perfectly clear, there have been just a handful of moves and no sure signs that much more is on the horizon. Still, what’s been happening has raised a question: Is this the start of a wave of food nationalism that will further disrupt supply chains and trade flows?

“We’re starting to see this happening already — and all we can see is that the lockdown is going to get worse,” said Tim Benton, research director in emerging risks at think tank Chatham House in London.

Though food supplies are ample, logistical hurdles are making it harder to get products where they need to be as the coronavirus unleashes unprecedented measures, panic buying and the threat of labor crunches.

Consumers across the globe are still loading their pantries — and the economic fallout from the virus is just starting. The specter of more trade restrictions is stirring memories of how protectionism can often end up causing more harm than good. That adage rings especially true now as the moves would be driven by anxiety and not made in response to crop failures or other supply problems.

It’s not the economic fallout “from the virus” but the economic fallout from the stupid way in which most governments responded to it.

It’s almost as if they literally encouraged panic.

Some nations are adding to their strategic reserves. China, the biggest rice grower and consumer, pledged to buy more than ever before from its domestic harvest, even though the government already holds massive stockpiles of rice and wheat, enough for one year of consumption.

Key wheat importers including Algeria and Turkey have also issued new tenders, and Morocco said a suspension on wheat-import duties would last through mid-June.

As governments take nationalistic approaches, they risk disrupting an international system that has become increasingly interconnected in recent decades.

Kazakhstan had already stopped exports of other food staples, like buckwheat and onions, before the move this week to cut off wheat-flour shipments. That latest action was a much bigger step, with the potential to affect companies around the world that rely on the supplies to make bread.

For some commodities, a handful of countries, or even fewer, make up the bulk of exportable supplies. Disruptions to those shipments would have major global ramifications. Take, for example, Russia, which has emerged as the world’s top wheat exporter and a key supplier to North Africa.

“If governments are not working collectively and cooperatively to ensure there is a global supply, if they’re just putting their nations first, you can end up in a situation where things get worse,” said Benton of Chatham House.

Yes, nationalism is bad. Governments must put other nations first, because if they put their own nation first, bad things will happen to foreigners whose governments don’t put them first.

Every country must put other countries first, because by doing that, some other country will eventually put them first.

This is why Diversity is Our Strength.

He warned that frenzied shopping coupled with protectionist policies could eventually lead to higher food prices — a cycle that could end up perpetuating itself.

“If you’re panic buying on the market for next year’s harvest, then prices will go up, and as prices go up, policy makers will panic more,” he said.

And higher grocery bills can have major ramifications. Bread costs have a long history of kick-starting unrest and political instability. During the food price spikes of 2011 and 2008, there were food riots in more than 30 nations across Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

“Without the food supply, societies just totally break,” Benton said.

Maybe countries assuming that they could depend on other countries in order to fulfill basic needs was a mistake.

Now people are going to end up eating toilet paper soup.

Corona — much like actual human beings — doesn’t like fat people.

Daily Mail:

Almost two thirds of patients who fall seriously ill from coronavirus are obese and nearly 40 per cent are under the age of 60, an NHS audit has revealed.

Sixty-three per cent of patients in intensive care in UK hospitals because of the killer virus are overweight, obese or morbidly obese.

While the average age of people suffering the most serious symptoms of coronavirus is 64, 37 per cent are under the age of 60.

The Intensive Care National Audit and Research Centre analysed all admissions to critical care units in the UK up until midnight last Thursday.

At that time, there were 194 coronavirus patients in ICU. That number is thought to have soared in the last four days.

The document provided the first in-depth look at patients who have needed round-the-clock care and boosted medics’ understanding of the virus that has crippled society.

Its finding that obese people are at risk of serious complications from COVID-19 will be concerning for health bosses, as two thirds of adults in the country fall into the category.

And more than a third of critically ill patients being under 60 shows it is not only the very elderly who are at risk.

The report also found that most coronavirus patients in intensive care were male, 71 per cent of all cases, and only 18 patients (9 per cent) had ‘severe co-morbidities’, such as underlying heart conditions or lung disease; while two patients had been pregnant within the last six weeks.

In Italy, more than 70% of coronavirus deaths are men.

Studies have shown obese people are more likely to suffer serious complications or die from infections, such as the flu.

Doctors say the immune systems of fat people are constantly ramped up as they try to protect and repair the damage inflammation causes to cells.

Using all its energy fending off inflammation means the body’s defence system has few resources left to defend against a new infection like COVID-19.

Fat people’s immune systems are trying to keep them alive, fighting the inflammation that being fat causes them, and are just too overworked to properly fight an external threat.

The whole world is going into full social isolation lockdown mode in an attempt to prevent fat people from dying because of their fatness.

Are fatties really worth all of this?

Wouldn’t it be better if they were dead?

The last two weeks I’ve stayed inside. When I returned from my trip around Central Europe I isolated myself (in a borrowed apartment away from my mother and sister) since the number of cases of COVID-19 (in Germany for instance) were similar to Italy in the beginning. Around ten days ago I started feeling some symptoms, exactly the same time as my father – who traveled with me from Brussels. I was feeling tired, had shivers, a sore throat and coughed. My dad experienced the same symptoms, but much more intense and with a fever. In Sweden you can not test yourself for COVID-19 unless you’re in need of emergent medical treatment. Everyone feeling ill are told to stay at home and isolate themselves. I have therefore not been tested for COVID-19, but it’s extremely likely that I’ve had it, given the combined symptoms and circumstances. Now I’ve basically recovered, but – AND THIS IS THE BOTTOM LINE: I almost didn’t feel ill. My last cold was much worse than this! Had it not been for someone else having the virus simultainously I might not even have suspected anything. Then I would just have thought I was feeling unusually tired with a bit of a cough. And this it what makes it so much more dangerous. Many (especially young people) might not notice any symptoms at all, or very mild symptoms. Then they don’t know they have the virus and can pass it on to people in risk groups. We who don’t belong to a risk group have an enormous responsibility, our actions can be the difference between life and death for many others. Please keep that in mind, follow the advice from experts and your local authorities and #StayAtHome to slow the spread of the virus. And remember to always take care of each other and help those in need. #COVID #flattenthecurve

A post shared by Greta Thunberg (@gretathunberg) on

Greta Thunberg was experiencing strong withdrawal symptoms after Corona completely took over the media and people’s attention, and now she’s trying to remind everyone that she still exists.

Daily Mail:

Greta Thunberg says she may have contracted coronavirus and has self-isolated at home with her father.

The teenage climate activist said she appeared to have been infected along with her dad, actor Svante Thunberg.

Both began having symptoms after a recent train tour of Europe together and so have been in isolation for the last weeks, she said.

They were travelling in Europe before lockdowns were imposed by many governments across the continent in a bid to halt the spread of the virus.

In an Instagram post today, Thunberg said she suffered shivers, a sore throat, a cough and felt tired after travelling with her father from Brussels.

The Swedish 17-year-old said in a video published by the New Scientist today that her father had ‘more intense symptoms’ such as a fever.

She’s looking rough.

But maybe that’s just because of her veganism, because she always looks rough.

But to be fair, that may be because she’s over 100 years old.

She said: ‘For the last two weeks I have been isolated and then I got the virus.

‘I came home from central Europe and then I isolated myself from the beginning, because I thought I might as well as I’ve been on trains…and so I don’t want to put anyone else at risk.

‘But then I started feeling some symptoms after a few days. But the important thing is that I didn’t basically feel that ill.

‘At the same time my father was feeling much more intense symptoms.’

…

Thunberg went on to explain that in Sweden patients cannot get tested for COVID-19 unless hospital treatment is needed.

She added: ‘So of course I’m not 100 per cent sure I have got it. But it would have been very strange if it would have been something else, because it just fits very… especially with my father’s reaction, it’s exactly fitting with the symptoms.’

She’s feeling better already, so she’s not likely to die at the hands of Corona.

Her father isn’t likely to die either.

Unless they have just a regular flu and Corona is yet to strike them.

Pictured: possible future mandatory suit for people.

This whole virus hysteria points our eyes towards a possible future where everyone is forced to work and live in isolation under the excuse of keeping everyone safe from viruses.

Daily Mail:

Researchers have made the startling discovering that a form of the coronavirus can linger around for more than two weeks.

Traces of new coronavirus were found on the Diamond Princess cruise ship on surfaces in cabins where people who were infected with the virus had stayed, for up to 17 days after they had left, according to a study released Monday along with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report.

The passengers had showed symptoms or were asymptomatic, researchers of the CDC study say.

It was not possible to determine whether the new traces caused any infections, Bloomberg reports.

The virus hangs around for weeks waiting for its next victim, and warmer weather won’t stop it.

You see where this is heading, right?

The only “solution” will likely be a mandatory vaccine.

Daily Mail:

Rising temperatures and humidity levels will likely slow the spread of coronavirus around the globe, a new study suggests – but changing weather can’t stop the disease alone.

As the weather grew warmer and more humid in 100 Chinese cities researchers at Beihang University and Tsinghua University found that the transmission rate of COVID-19 fell.

‘High temperature and high relative humidity significantly reduce the transmission of COVID-1, the study authors wrote.

President Donald Trump for weeks assured the American public that coronavirus, which has now infected more than 41,000 people in the US would likely fade by April because ‘the heat generally speaking kills this kind of virus.’

Although public health experts and the new study suggest that the virus doesn’t thrive in warm temperatures, heat and humidity will only reduce the transmission rate – not stop it in its tracks.

There is no escaping this virus.

We have to embrace it and celebrate it, because the alternative is to allow the same governments that are destroying the West and favoring foreigners over their own people to inject you with mystery fluids.

That, or start demanding 100% organic vegan whole-foods plant-based vaccines.

Merkel must have heard about how Sweden is still allowing in Syrian child refugees from Africa and Afghanistan, and decided her country isn’t getting outsweded by anybody, not even by actual Swedes.

Free West Media:

The Federal Ministry of the Interior told Berlin weekly Junge Freiheit that here are exceptions for goods traffic and commuters… and for asylum seekers.

Germany has been manning its borders with France, Switzerland and Luxembourg since the beginning of the week. No other EU member can enter the country without good reason, but asylum seekers are still welcome.

This means that if a migrant travels to France or Switzerland via Italy, for example, and reaches the German border, he only needs to apply for asylum and is allowed to go to Germany to start the procedure.

They have de facto banned White people from entering Germany, while letting so-called asylum seekers just waltz in.

That might sound moronic to some people, but you have to remember the Krauts have all those millions of Jews masturbated to death that they have to atone for.

And of course, since Germany doesn’t have a border with Africa or Afghanistan – not yet anyway – all of these invaders have to pass through Italy, and Switzerland, and France, and Serbia, and Greece…

So if you’re still gonna let the rapefugees in like this, what’s even the point of banning anyone at all?

This only makes sense if you want to make Germany more non-White than it already is.

French or Italians, on the other hand, who have no permanent residence in Germany or work there, are rejected at the border and returned. This was confirmed by a spokeswoman for the Federal Ministry of the Interior when asked by the JF.

“At the German EU external borders (airports and seaports) there has been no change in the previous procedure. This also applies to the internal Schengen borders,” she said when asked whether asylum seekers were still admitted to Germany.

Just letting rapefugees in automatically makes any other measures you take completely pointless.

But there is good news coming out of Krautstan too – Merkel herself has gone into quarantine, after her doctor was diagnosed positive. She may well have it herself.

If Coronachan rids us of this awful hag, it would be the best thing to happen to Europe in years.

Fingers crossed…

Tim Lang, professor of food policy at City University.

Supermarkets in the United Kingdom are not keeping up with the increase in demand caused by the coronavirus situation, and some people are left with nothing to buy.

Daily Mail:

A food policy expert has warned a food disaster could be imminent unless the Government implements rationing.

Tim Lang, professor of food policy at City University in London, has written a letter to Boris Johnson asking him to ‘initiate a health-based food rationing scheme to see the country through this crisis’.

He wrote to the Prime Minister ‘out of immediate concern about the emerging food crisis’ and in the letter described public messaging about food supply as ‘weak and unconvincing’.

His warning comes after shoppers across the country have been met with empty shelves as panic-buying takes hold.

People are mostly buying toilet paper though.

The government should start promoting the practice of cleaning the anus with water.

The scarcity in our shops has left many vulnerable people and NHS staff unable to buy food and essentials.

Professor Lang said it is understandable that concerned families have been bulk-buying if they are concerned about self-isolating for a number of weeks.

But he believes clearer public messaging from the Government would have helped to avoid this crisis.

He also criticised the Government for ‘blaming’ consumers who are going out to buy groceries to last a few days.

He said: ‘The supermarkets are already subject to unprecedented purchasing stress. Yet people have been stocking up, not least out of concern that, if someone in their household falls ill, they will be unable to obtain more supplies.

‘Consumers have repeatedly been told to look after themselves, so cannot be blamed for acting within their viable realm of influence.

‘It might be regrettable, but stockpiling or uncivil behaviour in stores are signs that appeals to restraint or repetition of the ‘We are in it together’ message are wearing thin when it comes to food supply.’

The professor also fears for low-income families as food banks close and others have very short supplies.

…

Prof Lang said a ‘very difficult period’ is ahead, adding: ‘We’ve got to do demand management, not just blame people when they start getting three days or a week’s food supply.

‘That’s nothing. Nothing. In my childhood, that’s what everyone did.

He said there needs to be a public food committee which ‘addresses the interest of the public’, adding: ‘What is being exposed is the lack of devolved regional and local food engagement.’

Maybe living in concrete hives where no food is produced and where every supply has to come from the outside wasn’t such a bright idea after all.

Concrete hive.

The coronavirus, bioweapon or not, is exposing some of the weaknesses of Modernity.

It would be interesting to see data on suicides during the isolation and quarantine periods of this coronavirus pandemic.

Daily Mail:

A man has been killed after jumping from a luxury Manhattan apartment block.

The 64-year-old who has yet to have been identified jumped from the 16th-floor of the Tribeca Park building on Chambers Street at around 11pm on Friday.

The man died instantly after landing in the building’s courtyard, authorities said.

Some neighbors have said the apparent suicide could have been related to the state’s regulations regarding coronavirus, self-isolation and the current pandemic.

‘I came out to smoke a cigarette, and they told me someone jumped,’ one resident told the New York Post.

She added: ‘You have to be mentally strong to take on isolation. The uncertainty of what’s going to happen is scary.’

Police have not linked the death to the coronavirus outbreak, or New York’s lockdown.

In some parts of the world, people are getting arrested for going out of their homes for anything other than going to the supermarket.

The Sun:

POLICE in France have been pictured forcibly detaining a woman who reportedly refused to observe a nationwide quarantine.

The French government yesterday imposed new measures aimed at tackling the coronavirus, banning people from leaving their homes without permission.

Police and the army are now patrolling the streets across France to enforce the orders.

Footage posted to social media today showed a group of officers, some of them armed, holding a women down on Paris’s Rue Poulet while she struggles and shouts at them.

A number of passersby can bee seen looking on or arguing with police.

A caption said that the clip showed the “arrest of a woman by the police because she had no certificate”.

What this period of isolation and media hysteria about the pandemic is doing to people’s minds is something that’ll probably become clearer in the next few weeks, but this whole thing doesn’t appear to be having a positive effect.

Will things even ever go back to the way they were before the outbreak?

You’re being watched.

Also, you’re being thermo-scanned, and a machine is listening in case you cough or sneeze.

Daily Mail:

Researchers from the University of Massachusetts Amherst have created an AI that listens for coughing and sneezing sounds to estimate what percentage of people in a public space have a respiratory illness.

The device, called FluSense, was initially tested over an eight month period in four clinic waiting rooms on the university’s campus.

In addition to recording ‘non-speech’ audio samples, FluSense is also equipped with a thermal camera to scan for people with elevated temperatures.

According to its co-creator, Tauhidur Rahman, the device isn’t meant to single out individual cases of illness but capture trends at the population level to see if something is developing that may not yet have been picked up in medical testing.

It doesn’t matter what the device is “meant” to do, what matters is what the device can do, and what the device can do — among other things — is tell the overlords which people need to be singled out for forced vaccinations.

It could also be used to know when people fart, by the way.

‘I thought if we could capture coughing or sneezing sounds from public spaces where a lot of people naturally congregate, we could utilize this information as a new source of data for predicting epidemiologic trends,’ he told UMass Amherst’s news blog

The initial testing for the device took place between December 2018 and July 2019, and the team was initially interested in forecasting the potential spread of seasonal flus and other respiratory illnesses.

During the testing window, the FluSense devices analyzed more than 21 million non-speech audio samples and 350,000 thermal images.

The AI used the audio samples to estimate the size of the populations in the different waiting rooms, and then calculated the percentage of people that were likely to have had a respiratory illness based on the frequency of coughs, sneezes, and elevated temperature signatures.

The team compared the predictions from the FluSense with lab results from the clinics and found they were ‘strongly correlated’ with actual illness levels.

Bolstered by their initial success, the team is planning to expand testing to other public settings outside of health clinics.

This coronavirus pandemic is giving governments a fantastic excuse to push for all kinds of nightmare totalitarian mass surveillance policies.

It isn’t hard to imagine a scenario where governments use the fact that you coughed or sneezed, or that you have a fever, as an excuse to start injecting you with mystery fluids.
