We were warned but we didn’t listen.

Daily Mail:

An iceberg five times the size of Malta has broken off Antarctica.

The D28 iceberg was captured by the European Union Earth Observation Program calving from the Amery ice shelf.

Known as ‘Loose Tooth’, this iceberg is 688 feet thick and contains 347 billion tons of ice –scientists are not connecting this event to climate change, but have concerns about ships traveling in its path.

Although some may point to climate change as the cause for the separation, Scripps and her team say this event is not linked to it.

Scientists have said that this is a natural event and this is how ‘ice streams maintain equilibrium, balancing the input of snow upstream’, according to BBC NEWS.

HOW DARE THEY?

That doesn’t even make any sense! Of course climate change is the culprit! The iceberg changed, the glacier changed, everything is changing because of climate change!

Amery is the third largest ice shelf in Antarctica, and extends inland from Prydz and MacKenzei bays – both feed into the Indian Ocean.

The ‘calving’, or breaking away, of a massive iceberg from the Amery glacier has not happened since the early 1960s – a chunk of ice that was 3,474 square miles in area, according to BBC News.

D28 was only 631 square miles, which is just a little smaller than Scotland’s Isle of Skye, but still poses a threat to ships traveling in its path.

However, scientists were expecting this Loose Tooth to break off.

Professor Helen Fricker from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography had predicted this event back in 2002 — suggesting it would calve sometime between 2010 and 2015.

‘It is the molar compared to a baby tooth,’ Professor Fricker told BBC News.

‘I am excited to see this calving event after all these years. We knew it would happen eventually, but just to keep us all on our toes, it is not exactly where we expected it to be.’

‘While there is much to be concerned about in Antarctica, there is no cause for alarm yet for this particular ice shelf,’ Prof Fricker added.

Are you questioning Climate Change, Professor Fricker?

The world is burning. Everything’s on fire.

Just look around you. Even corn crops are burning.

Daily Mail:

Rising ground-based ozone levels are already decimating corn crops in regions such as India and China, with researchers predicting yield losses of around 10 per cent.

Ozone — which is released as a by product of fossil fuel usage — effectively prematurely ages the crops and makes them less efficient at making energy to grow.

Unlike other emissions like carbon dioxide and methane, however, its impact of plant production has gone largely unnoticed.

Researchers found that two of the most common commercial varieties of the popular vegetable suffer particularly badly when exposed to more of the gas.

The resulting reduction of crop yields match those caused by droughts.

How are we going to make high fructose corn syrup without corn?! Goyfeed wouldn’t be the same without it.

How are we even going to feed people without corn?

This is a catastrophe.

If we don’t hurry and buy Tesla cars and adopt lettuce-based diets, there’ll be nothing left of this corn-syrup-infested planet for future generations.

Prairie-Monkey Fronthole Science Womyn Says Genetically Modifying Corn is Rape https://www.anglinarchive.com/2019/09/24/prairie-monkey-fronthole-science-womyn-says-genetically-modifying-corn-is-rape/ Tue, 24 Sep 2019 00:00:00 +0000 Spartacus

Next time you hear someone say that the vast majority of scientists agree on this or that, keep in mind – not everybody with a degree is a scientist, or even entirely sane.

WPR:

Botanist Robin Wall Kimmerer believes corn is more than something you eat. It’s also sacred. Corn is life itself. But looking out at her neighbor’s monocropped field of corn makes her sad.

As a plant ecologist and director of the Center for Native Peoples and the Environment at SUNY-Syracuse, Kimmerer works with students and tribal elders to research and restore plants of cultural significance to native people. And nothing matters more than corn.

“Corn is one of our deepest and oldest relatives,” she said. “We’re literally made of it; when scientists analyze the tissues of American bodies, they call us ‘walking Fritos.‘”

If any actual scientist ever said that people are “made of corn” it was probably as a metaphor of some sort.

Nothing in your body is made of corn, we can’t even digest it.

You eat it and it comes out the same way it came in.

She did a a TEDtalk, therefore she must be smart

And what exactly is this gibberish about “tribal wisdom?”

The most advanced societies these creatures ever created were Iron Age societies whose main focus was human sacrifice on an industrial scale.

And she’s from the north American ones, that were even more primitive than the rest.

There is nothing these creatures can teach us.

The sweet corn we love to eat today bears little resemblance to the plant that was domesticated over thousands of years by skilled, indigenous farmers. The heirloom Native corn (MR3) Kimmerer studies comes in hundreds of varieties, “from tiny red strawberry popcorns to great big purple and white flower corns; the dent corns, the flint corns, every color and pattern — it’s extraordinary.”

Contrast that with the genetically modified corn her neighbor grows, whose genetic integrity — not to mention nutritional value — has been altered by agribusiness.

Kimmerer is blunt.

“There’s a word for forcible injection of unwanted genes,” she said. Provocatively, she calls this “rape.”

Some things that you do not need any scientific training to notice + some anthropomorphic gibberish about raping corn.

And that’s not even to mention that genetically modifying corn is not fundamentally that different from the selective breeding done on plants for thousands of years, so her kind raped corn for a lot longer than Monsanto did.

And I’m expected to treat this bitch as if her degree is some evidence that her opinions should be taken seriously.

Her work is not only about preserving genetic diversity. Seeds encode cultural values as well as DNA, said Kimmerer, an enrolled member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation.

“There’s a reason corn is revered in almost every culture of corn-growing people as the ‘Corn Mother.’ Her kernels are not just stuff — every one of those seeds is an offspring — a baby,” Kimmerer said. “Corn is sacred because she gives us her children in return for us protecting and caring for those children by planting them again.”

Kimmerer and the tribal elders she works with often refer to native seed restoration as “rematriation,” which is about much more than heritage varieties.

“It’s reclaiming the sacred. It’s honoring the memories that are in the seeds, and the promise that we will take care of seeds and by doing so, invest in the future,” Kimmerer said.

There is nothing scientific about anything she just said.

It’s all just literal gibberish.

What you have to understand is that most people who are called “scientists” today have no achievement of any kind in the fields that they work in, and the inflation of degrees in academia is such that I’m not even sure most of them are even sane, hence why a lot of them come up with and support all sorts of insane bullshit.

And that is what global warmism is – an insane cult that some crazy people made by mixing communism with Bambi, and that Jews then started promoting as a way to subvert our race.

The most important thing to remember is that we’re living in a civilization in decline, and as such someone’s titles and credentials might not really have anything to do with what he’s actually capable of.

This is around a decade old, and people still take him seriously

GMO Corn Furthers Tensions Between US and China https://www.anglinarchive.com/2014/04/13/gmo-foods-further-escalates-tensions-between-us-and-china/ Sun, 13 Apr 2014 00:00:00 +0000 Daily Stormer

China, recently a third-world country, refuses to feed its people the poisons our government feeds us.
China, recently a third-world country, refuses to feed its people the poisons our government feeds us.

China, like any civilized country, refuses to feed poison American GMO foods to it’s people, and has thus cut imports significantly.

RT:

China’s rejection of shipments of US corn containing traces of unapproved genetically modified maize has caused a significant drop in exports. According to a new report, US traders have lost $427 million in sales.

Overall, China has barred nearly 1.45 million tons of corn shipments since last year, the National Grain and Feed Association (NGFA), an American industry association, said Friday.

The tally is based on data from export companies and is significantly higher than the previous numbers reported by the media, which said roughly 900,000 tons were affected. US corn exports to China since January are down 85 percent from the same period last year, the report says.

China has been blocking shipments of American corn from its market since November. This was caused by the presence of the MIR162 genetically modified corn strain in the shipments. It was developed by the company Syngenta and has not been approved by the Chinese government since an application was submitted in March 2010.

China has sharply increased corn imports since the late 2000s, with purchases increasing from 47,000 tons in 2008 to an estimated 5 million tons last year. It was the third-largest importer of American corn before the imports of Syngenta’s GMO strain were blocked.

US traders want seed companies to shoulder some of the losses. They also say seed companies should not introduce new varieties of seeds to farmers until they are approved by major markets, including China.

Part of the ire is also falling on the Chinese government, which, traders say, maintains an opaque process of approving and rejecting GMO strains, an accusation that Beijing rejects. China has so far approved 15 genetically modified corn strains for import.

Last week, China warned America to start minding its own business.

PressTV:

On Tuesday, Chinese Defense Minister Chang Wanquan warned the United States to “keep (Japan) within bounds and not to be permissive and supportive.”

“It is Japan who is being provocative against China,” Chang told a news conference after talks with US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel in Beijing, adding, “If you come to the conclusion that China is going to resort to force against Japan that is wrong … we will not take the initiative to stir up troubles,” Chang added.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman, Hong Lei had recently said Washington needed to be more responsible and stop spreading rumors put about by “right-wing Japanese forces.”

This comes as Beijing has long been engaged in a dispute with Tokyo over the sovereignty of the group of the uninhabited islands in the East China Sea, which are known as Diaoyu in China and Senkaku in Japan.

Senior Chinese officials have repeatedly called on Washington not to take sides over the issue.

The developments come as Washington and Beijing have locked horns over a range of issues.

On Sunday, China warned the US not to interfere in Hong Kong’s affairs, following a meeting between US Vice President Joe Biden and anti-Beijing activists.
