If they wanted to make a small start somewhere, they could do it with plastic water bottles, and encourage people to refill glass bottles (or even harder refillable plastic bottles). This would not only help with the plastic in the environment, but immediately help people.

If the money put into global warming, which is literally not even real, was put into stopping plastics, we’d have already stopped plastics.

Instead, people are getting cancer, men are turning into faggots and women are turning into very large, bulbous whores (through the way plastic disrupts the hormones), and now birds are getting a specific plastic disease.

A new disease caused solely by plastics has been discovered in seabirds.

The birds identified as having the disease, named plasticosis, have scarred digestive tracts from ingesting waste, scientists at the Natural History Museum in London say.

It is the first recorded instance of specifically plastic-induced fibrosis in wild animals, researchers say.

Plastic pollution is becoming so prevalent that the scarring was widespread across different ages of birds, according to the study, published in the Journal of Hazardous Materials.

Young birds were found to have the disease, and it is thought chicks were being fed the plastic pollution by parents accidentally bringing it back in food.

Scientists, including the Natural History Museum’s Dr Alex Bond and Dr Jennifer Lavers, studied flesh-footed shearwaters from Australia’s Lord Howe Island to look at the relationship between levels of ingested plastic and the proventriculus organ – the first part of a bird’s stomach.

They found that the more plastic a bird had ingested, the more scarring it had. The disease can lead to the gradual breakdown of tubular glands in the proventriculus. Losing these glands can cause the birds to become more vulnerable to infection and parasites and affect their ability to digest food and absorb some vitamins.

Researchers called the fibrotic disease plasticosis to make it clear that it was caused by plastic in the environment.

When birds ingest small pieces of plastic, they found, it inflames the digestive tract. Over time, the persistent inflammation causes tissues to become scarred and disfigured, affecting digestion, growth and survival.

Natural materials found in the stomachs of birds, such as pumice stones, did not cause the same problems, leading scientists to label this a specifically plastic-caused disease.

The fact that there is zero being done about plastics proves that environmentalism is a hoax.

Hundreds of animal species across the globe from ticks to whales have blood contaminated with toxic PFAS, a new analysis of previous peer-reviewed research shows.

Though the analysis does not aim to reveal how the exposure to PFAS affects wildlife, anecdotal evidence in some of the previous studies show the chemicals are likely sickening animals.

The analysis was compiled by the Environmental Working Group (EWG), a nonprofit that tracks PFAS contamination and developed an interactive map that shows which animal species were studied, where they were analyzed, and the levels and types of PFAS found in their blood.

Researchers have found the chemicals in a range of species such as scorpions, pandas, Siberian tigers, turtles, horses, dogs, plankton, sea lions, wild boar, otters and oysters. The breadth of the contamination is “sobering”, said David Andrews, a senior scientist with the EWG.

“It has taken six decades of research on humans to really understand how these chemicals impact our biology in so many different ways … and there’s no reason to believe those same impacts are not also occurring in wildlife,” Andrews said.

PFAS are a class of about 12,000 chemicals often used to make thousands of consumer products resistant to water, stains and heat. They are called “forever chemicals” because they do not naturally break down, and they are linked to cancer, liver disease, kidney stress, fetal complications and other serious health problems.

Federal data shows that nearly all Americans’ blood is contaminated with the compounds, but research on wildlife has been scattered until the EWG analysis aggregated it.

This is a real problem.

Furthermore, it’s a problem you could actually solve. But no one would make any money solving it.

Concerns about climate change shrank across the world last year, a survey shows, with fewer than half those questioned believing it posed a “very serious threat” to their countries in the next 20 years.

Only 20% of people in China, the world’s biggest polluter, said they believed that climate change was a very serious threat, down 3 percentage points from the previous poll in 2019, the survey by Gallup World Risk Poll showed on Wednesday.

Globally, the figure fell by 1.5 percentage points to 48.7% in 2021, it said.

The COVID-19 pandemic and concerns about more immediate issues such as health and livelihoods may partly explain the drop, the survey, based on over 125,000 interviews in 121 countries, showed.

Coronavirus is fake also, but at least there was a theory about how it could affect someone’s life.

There is no theory about how global warming could affect anyone’s life. Again, they claim they are saving people hundreds of years from now from getting too hot.

Climate change awareness rose slightly in the United States in 2021, the second biggest global polluter, to 51.5%, it added.

Regions with the highest ecological threats are on average the least concerned about climate change, with only 27.4% of the Middle East and North Africa and 39.1% of South Asian respondents concerned about the risks.

The findings come ahead of the next round of global climate talks when countries meet in Egypt in November for COP27.

But despite the shrinking concern, the ecological bill of climate change is growing globally.

A study by the Institute for Economics and Peace of 228 countries and territories found that 750 million people globally are now affected by undernourishment and climate change as well as rising inflation, and Russia’s war in Ukraine will exacerbate food insecurity in the future.

More than 1.4 billion people in 83 countries face extreme “water stress”, where more than 20% of the population do not have access to clean drinking water, the study showed.

Invisible microplastics have been found almost 400ft (120 metres) underground in UK water streams, according to the results of a citizen science project conducted by wild swimmers.

More than 100 outdoor swimmers in the UK became “waterloggers”, collecting water samples from their favourite place for a dip using empty glass wine bottles.

This water was then tested, with microplastics present in every single sample.

One of these samples was taken 400ft underground in a cave in Derbyshire. Rebecca Price, a caver who collected the samples deep underground, said, “The cave sample was taken from an underground waterfall which filters through natural rock. I’m shocked to find that nano- and microfibres were found that deep underground.”

Laura Owen Sanderson, the founder of the non-profit We Swim Wild, which carried out the sampling, said: “We now know that microplastics are infiltrating every aspect of our lives. We breathe in, drink and eat plastic particles every day; and little research has been done to establish what risk that poses to human health.

As new data published by Bennington College this week documents, the US military ordered the clandestine burning of over 20m pounds of AFFF and AFFF waste between 2016-2020. In fact, there is good reason to believe that burning AFFF simply emits these toxins into the air and onto nearby communities, farms, and waterways. Introduced during the Vietnam War to combat petroleum fires on naval ships and air strips, AFFF was the whizz kid of chemical engineering that forged a synthetic molecular bond stronger than anything known in nature. Once manufactured, this carbon-fluorine bond is virtually indestructible. Refusing to become fuel, this herculean bond overpowers and tames even the most incendiary infernos.

As the US Armed Forces became the largest consumer of AFFF in the world, troubling questions about what happens after the fire were brushed aside. In its initial survey of military bases in December 2016, the Armed Forces identified 393 sites of AFFF contamination in the United States, including 126 sites where PFAS compounds infiltrated public drinking water. (The Department of Defense has active remediation plans at a small fraction of those sites.) In 2019, DOD admitted those numbers were “under-counted.” The Environmental Working Group’s popular map of PFAS contamination puts the current number of polluted military sites at 704, a number that continues to rise.

Josh Redman filmed the polluted water at a spot near Durban, the country’s third biggest city.

In the video, the sea carries huge amounts of waste towards an already contaminated shoreline.

Hundreds of bottles can be seen thrown around in the choppy water as it washes towards the rubbish-covered beach.

Mr Redman said: ‘This is the result of our big summer rains flushing out all the pollution that had build up on riverbanks over our dry season which is our Winter.

‘This has happened time and time again and our government are not dealing with it as the crisis it is.

‘There need to be some international pressure put on them to work towards a solution because trying to get something done from ground level here in South Africa is impossible.

‘This is Durban’s main river mouth and it is also the biggest contributor of plastic pollution into the ocean in South Africa’.

It is unclear if the local government has taken action against the disposal of rubbish in the area.

“Proper” disposal of these things is nothing but sweeping the problem under the rug.

The idea that virtually every product and thing that people buy must come with a disposable packaging thing to eventually or immediately throwaway is beyond ridiculous.

There are no words to accurately describe the absurdity of this situation where billions of people buy billions of small things that come wrapped in some form of disposable plastic every single day and produce mountains upon mountains of garbage that are slowly but surely creeping their way back to the people that “disposed” of them.

It is like the plot of one of those funny horror movies that don’t take themselves seriously, except that this isn’t really funny because it is actually happening.

Things should be as reusable and as non-toxic as possible both for the sake of the planet and people’s health.

Air pollution in the north of India has “reached unbearable levels,” the capital Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvid Kejriwal says.

In many areas of Delhi air quality deteriorated into the “hazardous” category on Sunday with the potential to cause respiratory illnesses.

Authorities have urged people to stay inside to protect themselves.

Mr Kejriwal called on the central government to provide relief and tackle the toxic pollution.

Schools have been closed, more than 30 flights diverted and construction work halted as the city sits in a thick blanket of smog.

Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain advised the city’s residents to “avoid outdoor physical activities, especially during morning and late evening hours”.

The advisory also said people should wear anti-pollution masks, avoid polluted areas and keep doors and windows closed.

How bad is the smog?

Levels of dangerous particles in the air – known as PM2.5 – are far higher than recommended and about seven times higher than in the Chinese capital Beijing.

An Indian health ministry official said the city’s pollution monitors did not have enough digits to accurately record pollution levels, which he called a “disaster”.

Five million masks were handed out in schools on Friday as officials declared a public health emergency and Mr Kejriwal likened the city to a “gas chamber”.

The World Health Organization (WHO) says a third of deaths from stroke, lung cancer and heart disease are due to air pollution.

“This is having an equivalent effect to that of smoking tobacco,” the WHO says on its website.

Justin Bieber could and should start talking more about these real, immediate environmental threats to balance the insanity of Greta Thunberg’s “THE PLANET IS BURNING HOW DARE YOU” approach to sustainability.

Most of the plastic contaminating the world comes from third world countries. Mentioning plastic as a problem could result in people realizing that these third world African and Asian countries are more of a real threat to the planet than white people driving cars and flying on planes.

The effects of plastic in rivers and the ocean are much more easily verifiable than the sensationalist claims of Climate Apocalypse cultists, but it goes against the self-hate and anti-white nature of their cult, so you’re not likely to hear much about it.

If the topic of plastics ever comes up among Greta and her army, it would probably be dismissed as the wrong kind of science.
