A Japanese rock band has pulled the music video for its new song “Columbus” after drawing flak for scenes that depicted Christopher Columbus with ape-like men.

The video shows three historical figures teaching the ape-like beings to do various things, like how to ride on horses and play musical instruments.

The video swiftly sparked a backlash after it was released on Wednesday – it was removed just a day later.

The band, Mrs Green Apple, apologised on Thursday, saying the video “contains expressions that lack understanding of historical and cultural backgrounds”.

In the video, the band’s three members – dressed in costumes depicting Columbus, Napoleon and Beethoven – are shown discovering an island inhabited by people who look like apes.

How is this not cultural appropriation?

Some social media criticised the video for being racist while others accused it of affirming slavery.

“Columbus is credited with creating slavery, and [there are] controversial scenes such as educating apes to look like natives. Didn’t anyone notice that,” read one comment on X.

“The music video shows the men dressed as colonisers and the natives are portrayed as literal monkeys… that’s actually insane,” another chimed in.

I strongly suspect none of these people were Japanese.

Or at least I hope they weren’t…

Others took issue with its portrayal of Columbus – the man has been credited for “discovering” America, but some claim he was a brutal governor who mistreated and enslaved the natives.

“Wasn’t there anyone involved who had studied world history at all?,” wrote a comment on YouTube.

“I think the people defending this video dont know anything about history in North America. Columbus is hated by many Americans, to the point where Columbus Day has disappeared [in many places],” another said.

In one of two apology statements posted yesterday, the band said they had intended to depict “life forms of different ages having a home party”.

“We were concerned from the beginning that [the apes] might be seen as discriminatory expression, but we had no intention of likening apes to humans.

“We never intended to make the content discriminatory or to make it something that affirms tragic history,” it said.

To be clear, racism is a hoax.

Like, it does not actually exist, in the form that leftists/Jews claim it does: no one actually “hates people because of the color of their skin.”

It’s possible that people hate certain races because of what they view as a certain established behavior behavior patter of that group. But I think that even that is very limited.

What I have found is that people become wary of certain behavior patterens they view as having been established by those groups. What is actually called “racism” is much more a “collective judgement” of certain groups based on pattern recognition, and/or the sense that this group presents a collective threat to their group. However, and this is certainly not insignificant, the most extreme examples of this involve people’s who more of less look very similar. Certainly on average, Poles are more “racist” against the Russians than white Americans are against black Americans. Further, Japanese are certainly a lot more “racist” against the Chinese (and also really the Koreans) than they are against American Indians (which they would have obviosuly very little knowledge of, beyond what they read in history books.

What’s more, is that whether it is white American collective judgement of blacks, or an Asian country’s collective judgement of really any other Asian country (it’s very difficult to find a group of Asians that gets along with another group of Asians, aside from something like Malaysia-Indonesia or Cambodia-Laos (and maybe their of those countries and Burma, though definitely none of those countries and Thailand, let alone Vietnam), where they have not only a shared genetic heritage but also a shared history. (In the case of Malaysia-Indonesia, they actually had a war with each other, an extension of the cold war, though in my experience the individuals of the two nations do not have explicit and general dislike or distrust of each other.

The important thing about “racists” generally – and again, almost every country on earth takes a position of “collective judgement” against their neighboring countries – most people will make exception for individuals. Though they may go into a situation with a specific bias, they also recognize that every person is an individual and may surprise them.

Basically, it’s all a gigantic hoax.

Two Ohio cops are being investigated for their response to a sexual misconduct case involving a child after a video of them appearing to blame the 11-year-old girl for creating “child porn” went viral.

Two Columbus police officers, a female and male, were seen talking to the girl’s father on their front porch, six hours after he allegedly called to report that a man online had manipulated his daughter into sending him pictures of herself, doorbell camera footage shows.

Oh, yes.

An evil man was surely responsible for mind-controlling her.

Many such cases.

The dad tells officers he called because he wanted them to talk to his daughter, who he said was now sleeping, to get her “to realize what this was,” before conceding that he knew the “reality” was there probably wasn’t much he could do.

The female officer is heard telling the dad his pre-teen daughter “could probably get charged with child porn” if she produced the images.

“Who? She can? She’s 11 years old,” he responds, to which the officer replies, “She’s creating it, right?”

“She’s 11 years old,” the incredulous dad repeats.

“Doesn’t matter. She’s still making porn,” the female officer curtly says.

“No. She’s being manipulated by a grown a– adult on the internet,” the father counters, before the female officer cuts him off.

“Is she taking pictures, though?” she asks.

“You guys have a nice evening,” the dad says as he heads back into the house. “Thank you for coming.”

Here’s an interesting news story that 98% of the country won’t ever hear about.

New York Post:

A black man accused in a 20-hour, two-state shooting spree that wounded five strangers told cops he was motivated by race and intentionally targeted “military-looking” white men he believed wronged him, police said.

Justin Tyran Roberts, 39, was arrested Saturday by police in Columbus, Georgia, where cops say he wounded four people — including two white men — during separate attacks late Friday and Saturday afternoon.

Roberts is also accused of shooting a white man in the back at a hotel in Phenix City, Alabama, the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer reported.

Detective Brandon Lockhart testified Monday that Roberts told police following his arrest that he “had to have” one victim who was shot in the back as he got into a car under the Oglethorpe Bridge in Columbus.

“Basically, he explained throughout his life, specifically white males had taken from him, and also what he described as ‘military-looking white males’ had taken from him,” Lockhart testified, recalling what Roberts allegedly told investigators.

Columbus Police Chief Freddie Blackmon said Saturday that all of the victims were expected to recover. Investigators also found no evidence that Roberts knew any of the shooting victims, the Ledger-Enquirer reported.

Roberts also claimed that white men had been “shooting at him in a wooded area with a slingshot,” but police found no evidence to back up that assertion, Lockhart testified.

Roberts, a convicted felon, was found with a Taurus 9mm pistol that had been stolen Thursday when he was arrested, Lockhart said.

The alleged shooting spree started one day later at the Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Phenix City, where a man was hospitalized following the apparently random attack, Blackmon said Saturday.

Roberts fits the description of the gunman in that attack and he’s expected to face additional charges in Alabama, the Ledger-Inquirer reported.

Hours later, two white males and a black female were shot elsewhere in Columbus. Roberts is charged with multiple counts of aggravated assault and gun charges in connection to being a convicted felon in that case, the newspaper reported.

Roberts appeared in court Monday to face charges in one of the shootings and his public defender asked a judge to order that he undergo a mental health evaluation, claiming that Lockhart’s testimony showed the man is “having delusions and a disconnect from reality,” according to the report.

The judge agreed and sent Roberts’ charges of aggravated assault, using a gun to commit a crime and being a convicted felon with a firearm to Muscogee Superior Court.

Wait, so white men damaging the lives of random black people is a delusional disconnect from reality?

Really? 

Because that’s not what I’ve been hearing for the last ten years or so.

I think there is a likelihood that they will let this guy off. You all read the story of the black guy who shot the white guy while trying to steal his truck, and he was let off by the jury, right?

They said he felt scared of the old white man he killed, so he had a right to kill him.

This rising black-on-white crime spree presumably happening all around the country. It’s impossible to track it, because the media tries so hard to cover it up.

Then he figured out that wasn’t the right answer, adding: “But she called yall fo’ help. The fug is you talkin’ bout. Get your goofy ass, and you just said that on camera, this shit goin’ viral.”

He was right.

Though I’m not sure it went viral in the way he intended. Not a good look for the blacks.

And whatever – I’ve got no love for the DC cops after the stab in the back.

But that was a very EPIC quip.

It’s really, really something that they’re doing this woman who was in the middle of stabbing someone like George Floyd. Well, it hasn’t gotten full Floyd, and it probably won’t – it’s just a place holder until they find something better.

But this narrative is really and truly something.

They keep saying “it was children having a knife fight.”

Firstly, continuing to use the world “child” is goofy. They’re giving her the Trayvon Martin treatment, with old photos.

Who is holding that dishonestly presented poster? Who would do something like this?

Of course. Der Ewige Cunt.

We’ve all seen this bitch’s big ass. She’s almost as big as that car.

Secondly, a “knife fight” doesn’t describe what was happening.

This wasn’t some West Side Story type shit.

That bitch was getting stabbed, and she was probably going to get stabbed more than once.

The other thing: you know if this cop wouldn’t have shot, they would have said “oh, he let her die.”

This is just almost too much. Are they calling for legalizing stabbings?

What is actually going on?

Some guy at a press conference asked the Columbus Police Chief if he could have shot her in the arm. The implication was that he should have shot the knife out of her hand.

“Why didn’t he use VATS?”

If there is room for controversy around a woman being shot while on video in the middle of an attempted murder, then they’re going to find something slightly less heinous than this in the next week or so, and roll big on it.

I heard someone say that they don’t think they’ll go as big with the riots this summer as last summer, because last summer they were going after Trump. Well, the riots were the reason Trump won by such a large margin! The riots weren’t about Trump.

I will say is this: whatever the scale of the city riots and lootings, the violence is going to be much more egregious, and it is going to be targeted at the suburbs and other white residential areas. That’s what they want now – they want to hit white people where they live, instead of burning down their own neighborhoods.

You’ve seen them loot entire malls. Malls have higher security than your house. And your wife has jewelry, you’ve got TVs and cellphones, they might loot your refrigerator and washing machine.

They’ve already done the whole statue thing, and I don’t think there are any statues left. We might see them pulling down remaining statues of Washington and Lincoln, and they’re talking about wanting to dynamite Mount Rushmore. I can’t imagine Joe Biden refusing to sign a “dynamite Rushmore” executive order.

They’re gonna go big. The media is riling them up, the government is riling them up. Right now, the biggest triumph of the BLM movement has been drastically increasing the black-on-black murder rate. That was not the end goal.

New video shows that the Makhia Bryant shooting saved someone’s life, or at least saved someone from getting gutted open. It’s unclear what Makhia would have done after she’d sunk the knife into her enemy, though she presumably would have finished her off, and maybe started stabbing other people.

The media, however, is quadrupling down, claiming that Makhia was a victim of police brutality.

In Columbus, Ohio, where 16-year-old Ma’Kiah Bryant died in a police shooting this week, distrust of the police department runs deep. Protesters chant a long list of local Black people killed by officers. For many, “police protection” is something of an oxymoron; police themselves are a danger. That’s led to a major reform push that activists want to accelerate.

Hours after Bryant was killed, protests erupted in the area, with neighbors like Ira Graham III saying her death was further proof of something they’ve believed for years. It is not safe to call the police.

“I have an 18-year-old who happens to be at college now and I tell him, unfortunately, never called the cops for anything, because you call the cops and things can unfortunately end up like this,” said Graham at the neighborhood demonstration.

That sentiment isn’t unique to Columbus, but it is pervasive here, even for people like Dejuan Sharp, a 37-year-old U.S. Army veteran.

“I shouldn’t be scared of the police,” says Sharp. “I shouldn’t have to live in fear when these people pull up. I should be able to call 911 if my family needs it.”

Black people in Columbus have good reason to fear, according to activist Jasmine Ayres.

“We have one of the most violent police departments in the United States,” says Ayres.

That’s especially true for African Americans. According to the group Mapping Police Violence, Columbus police are responsible for more Black deaths in the last several years then departments in much larger cities like LA or Philadelphia, and many more than in comparable nearby cities like Cleveland and Cincinnati.

And the problems go way back. In 1998 the U.S. Justice Department investigated the Columbus police and found a raft of abuses, a pattern of excessive force, false arrests and false charges.

Columbus City Council President Shannon Hardin says unrest last summer after the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis led to a fresh and powerful push to rein in the department.

“There really has been a lot of change and a lot of reform. We’ve done more in the last year in terms of police policy than we’ve done in 30 years, combined,” says Hardin.

Along with the media, very mainstream social media voices are supporting the theory that the cop was wrong to use deadly force on a black who was in the process of using deadly force.

I don’t think this Columbus incident will be used as a major flashpoint. But it is being used to up the ante on just what qualifies as “excessive force.”

If it is wrong to shoot a black person who is in the middle of stabbing someone, then it is pretty much never allowed to shoot a black person. If it is never allowed to shoot a black person, then black people can do whatever they want to anyone, without fear of consequences.

This is leading up to the Federal Government taking action to restrain local police from being able to keep the peace, and it is leading up to a series of violent riots that are going to make the 2020 Black Lives Matter riots look tame in comparison.

They will march into the suburbs, and they will start killing people. The cops will not do anything, except to restrain whites from defending themselves.

Derek Chauvin was pronounced “guilty of everything” on Tuesday.

He was convicted on all three counts – two counts murder and one of manslaughter, in relation to the fentanyl overdose of one innocent gentle giant named “Big Papa” Floyd, who was ambushed by Chauvin while he was on his way to church.

But there is no time to even analyze what this means.

Just as blacks were beginning to celebrate, another innocent blackie was shot down in cold blood by an Aryan cop.

Why did they do it, you ask?

I’m not even going to comment on the statistical chances of that, but it proves what I’ve been saying from the beginning: it doesn’t matter that Chauvin is being crucified for a crime he didn’t commit.

They are intent on riots this summer, and they will just roll out some new event. Black people are committing crimes all the time, and they end up interacting with the police, and very often they resist arrest, and sometimes they die as a result.

There is only one clip out at time of writing showing the Columbus situation.

It shows a white cop standing there with the body of a black person on the ground.

They can use this event, or they can use some other event – it doesn’t matter. The media has the ability to run anything they want 24/7 and tell blacks to riot, and tell whites that if they don’t support black rioting, they are evil.

The human sacrifice of the innocent blood of this man Chauvin to the dark gods of Africa will not cleanse you of your sins.

They are angry, and they want more blood. They want all the blood.

Franklin County, the seat of the Capitol and my home town Columbus, Ohio, was one of only three black spots on the map – marking us as THE BEST.

(Or I guess people from Ohio are more bold or stupid or whatever – I mean, it was a hysterical situation, but everyone there had at least an instant where it was like “should I really enter the building?”)

There is a reason people from Columbus are PISSED – our home has been turned into a dystopian nightmare, which is worse than a lot of cities in this country.

The entire city is flooded with fentanyl. Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia share a local midwest culture in the larger midwest culture and it is a culture that is highly receptive to OPIOIDS. It’s a deadly triangle.

What’s more, we’re the second highest recipient of Somalian invaders!

I can’t find a county map, but they’re all in Columbus, and I will tell you: between 2010 and 2016, there were a lot more than 5,659 new Somalians.

And we’ve had them going all the way back to the Clinton years. We have adult Somalians who were born in Columbus – and get this: they act exactly like Somalians from Somalia, only a lot worse! Way, way worse!

These two crises overlap in that Somalians are involved in trafficking fentanyl!

No one cares about this. No one cares about us. Not one single cocksucker in Washington was doing a think about what was happening in our state and our city, and Donald Trump at least tried.

And of course, it wasn’t unique to us, but we got hit pretty bad with the Black Lives Matter rioting. I know someone personally who found one of the infamous “pallets of bricks” in the bushes beside the road.

That’s why so many people were fully ride or die for this orange sonovabitch.

It’s just incredible that people continue to believe in this democracy system as the world comes down around them.

Liberals look at guns as evil talismans that cause death. It’s almost a kind of magic power that they ascribe to them. If you ever meet a liberal believer who wasn’t around guns as a kid, they will tense up in the presence of guns, as if bullets are just going to pop out of the barrel at any moment and start flying around the room causing death.

I’ve been in third world countries where the cops carry around AK-47s as a matter of course, and had British pansies will be like, “oh my God, this makes me so nervous…!” It’s the same thing if you have a gun in your house or your car and some liberal sees it. They get all nervous and act afraid, as a medieval peasant would around a cursed item from a witch’s lair.

The fact that there are not shootings at gun shows is often used as a point to show liberals that proximity to guns is not equivalent to proximity to death. You can have literally thousands of guns in one place, and no one dies by their power.

Of course, it is going to be a big story on reddit if someone gets shot at outside a gun show, because it is evidence to the claim that guns themselves, the actual object, causes death.

The shooting didn’t happen at the gun show, obviously – it happened in the parking lot.

But that’s reddit for you.

And of course, if there ever was a shooting outside of a gun show, it was going to be in the parking lot of Westland Mall in Columbus, Ohio.

The Ohio BCI and Franklin County Sheriff’s Office are investigating after a deadly shooting outside of the Westland Mall Sunday afternoon.

Police and deputies responded to reports of shots fired before 4 p.m. and found one male victim dead from apparent gunshot wounds in the parking lot outside of the former Sears department store. Investigators shut entrances to the parking lot and taped off a large area for hours following the incident.

The Westland Mall has been vacant for years, but still hosts events periodically. The Sunday shooting happened as a gun show was winding down inside.

“I was inside talking to a buddy of mine who’s a gun dealer when somebody came in the front door, yelled, ‘Shots fired!’” recounted Jason Thiede, who was attending the gun show. “Everybody started to scatter away from the front door and heard a lot of gunfire outside.”

Thiede said the gunshots caused a brief panic until everyone realized it was coming from outside of the building.

“I looked to see where it’s coming from and whether there’s a chance I’m going to get hit. I was standing close enough to a column to know I wasn’t going to get hit by anything coming through the door, so I wasn’t worried,” he said.

Investigators immediately said it was not an active shooter situation. By late Sunday evening, no one had been taken into custody and no suspect information had been released. They also could not say whether the victim or potential suspects had any connection to the gun show.

Thiede said the violence would be uncharacteristic of a gun show.

Of course violence is uncharacteristic of a gun show. You’d have to be from reddit to not know that already.

Guns were not the reason for the death. I would argue the parking lot itself invited death. It is a dead place, where dead people go to die.

It’s a hellscape.

In fact, most of central Ohio has been turned into a hellscape characteristic of this kind of parking lot.

The area used to be a nice rural place, surrounded by many fields.

There was a metro area in Columbus, of course. The buildings there were beautiful, designed by people who cared what the buildings they built looked like.

But then there wasn’t much between the different small cities outside Columbus, other than fields.

It’s now been fully enveloped by sprawl.

So many concrete buildings, strip malls with plastic signs. So, so many parking lots.

The parking lots make me think of hell, and of dying alone and being forgotten.

This is not a place where human beings should live.

It does not have life in it. It is the opposite of life. It is sharp, sterile, desolate and cold. It is empty, like a barren plane in hell.

I’m surprised more people don’t die in parking lots in central Ohio.

I was born in 1984, before the procedure was complete, but long after it started. Still, what I see now in my hometown is unrecognizable from what I knew as a kid.

I grew up next to a corn field.

It’s a parking lot now. There’s an apartment complex filled with Somalians.

After destroying our fields and replacing them with parking lots, the people who control our city now, mostly Jews, have mocked us, mocked our heritage with a disgusting installation reminiscent of the Berlin Holocaust Memorial.

It’s called “Fields of Corn” and is supposed to honor the fact that we used to have corn fields all around our living spaces. There are 109 concrete pieces of corn. They’re very large.

It was made by one Malcolm Cochran, who I suspect is Jewish. In order to “honor” our history, to remember that there used to be corn fields where these parking lots are now, they replaced a corn field with the only imaginable thing uglier than a parking lot.

These immigrants that flood the streets now seem to belong there, because it has turned into a hell. The Indians and the Arabs – they strike me as the kind of creatures you should be meeting in these desolate parking lots, in the same way that The Butcher is who I would expect to meet on the second level of the dungeon under the Tristram cathedral.

Every day, I think about where I am now, and I think about the old Columbus, which was my birthright and which was taken from me. I think about what it has become. More than the immigrants, the junkies, or the fat, aggressive women, I think about these endless parking lots, the freeway off-ramps, the strip malls and the drive-thru fast foot joints, as that is the environment which brought these creatures.

These monsters who have overtaken my city couldn’t have taken over the old Columbus. They wouldn’t want to live there and they couldn’t live there. The modern American hellscape is a breeding ground for degeneracy.

I suppose by the end of the summer, there won’t be a single statue of the man who discovered this continent left standing on it, save perhaps the one in Mexico City.

Baltimore protesters pulled down a statue of Christopher Columbus and threw it into the city’s Inner Harbor on Saturday night.

Demonstrators used ropes to topple the monument near the Little Italy neighborhood, news outlets reported.

Protesters mobilized by the death of George Floyd at the hands of police have called for the removal of statues of Columbus, Confederate figures and others. They say the Italian explorer is responsible for the genocide and exploitation of native peoples in the Americas.

According to The Baltimore Sun, the statue was owned by the city and dedicated in 1984 by former Mayor William Donald Schaefer and President Ronald Reagan.

A spokesman for Baltimore Mayor Bernard C. “Jack” Young told The Sun the toppling of the statue is a part of a national and global reexamination over monuments “that may represent different things to different people.”

Sure.

A mob of rioters that pulled down a historic monument and threw it in the river on the Fourth of July were just part of a reexamination of meaning.

Okay.

If the core symbols of our culture mean vastly different things to different people, to the point where one side thinks they’re great and a core part of their identity and the other side thinks they’re pure evil and have to be violently ripped down by a mob in the middle of the night, then we no longer live in a society.

I’m having a hard time with this statue thing, personally. Columbus statues in particular trigger this, because I grew up in a city named Columbus and he always seemed to be there watching over things. Other than just statues, his image appeared a lot.

We had an event called “Ameriflora” in 1992 when I was 6 years old. It was planned as a celebration of the 500-year anniversary of Christopher Columbus landing in America, but it turned into a hundred million dollar flower themed theme park. (If you’d like to know more, the New York Times has in their archives an article from that summer about the event. A more recent Columbus Dispatch article featured some nice pictures.)

It lasted six months and was also a kind of theme park. The city lost tens of millions of dollars. Other than the fact a six month $100 million flower show is a stupid idea, and they put it in the middle of a black ghetto and everyone was afraid to park their car, I would blame the failure of the event on the disgusting “abstract art” that was placed in the park, presumably by the local Jews. (I don’t just say that off-handedly, we have many Jews in Columbus who try to put this sort of obscenity all over the city. The disgusting official poster for the event was designed by a Jew.)

It was really nasty stuff. It is jarring on its own, but when contrasted with the beautiful conservatory buildings, built in the park in the late 1800s, and the flora itself, it tore the psyche.

You can see that contrast in this fantastic home video from the event.

There were also many statues of Christopher Columbus there, which were very nice, and cleansed the palate. One I will always remember featured the explorer holding a globe like a bowling ball.

Everyone laughed about the awkwardness of the pose, but looking at it now, I can see it as a metaphor – he was an explorer, bowling over the unknown in his quest for adventure.

Of course, Columbus never set foot in Ohio. The story is that one of the founders of the city was just a very big fan of Columbus and his adventures and lobbied the state to name the settlement after him.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the man since the mayor announced he is tearing down the statue at city hall and destroying other symbols of the great Italian explorer. I am really able to appreciate the role that Christopher Columbus played in the culture that I grew up in. He was a truly inspirational figure, who anyone should be able to look toward and say, “I should try to be as dedicated to my own endeavors as he was to his.”

It is deeply saddening to me that there are millennials who grew up with this same Columbus imagery that I grew up with who are now attacking him. When I see that, I understand that this goes beyond politics, and that these people are deeply damaged individuals.

We should remember that these monuments we build to great men are to commemorate the men as individuals, but they are also to commemorate all of those who served to create whatever time period they lived in. However, these people are dead, so the real reason we build them is for ourselves. The lionizing of great men makes us want to be better versions of ourselves, as we are reminded that the world will still be here 500 years after we die, and we only have this short period to make our mark on it. They also serve to remind us that we do not exist in a void, for our bloodlines stretch back through the ages. We are links in an unbroken chain that leads to Adam and Eve. It is from this past that our identity originates, and we too play a role in shaping the identities of future generations. There is in life such a thing as duty and if we sever our connection to the past, we are depriving future generations of something that by rights is theirs as much as it is ours.

If people cannot agree on something so basic an idea as “our cultural identity and the heroes that represent it are above reproach,” there is no possible way they could be considered something other than subversive elements, and evil.
