Church of England clergy have reportedly been told to make changes to popular Christmas carols to avoid “causing unnecessary offence”.

A whistleblowing vicar has claimed that priests throughout England have been urged to modify Advent hymns and Christmas carols, The Telegraph reports.

According to the broadsheet, O Come, O Come, Emmanuel was identified as being potentially offensive for suggesting that other religions are “outside of God’s grace”.

Additionally, Lo, He Comes With Clouds Descending had been flagged for containing “problematic words” because it affirms that Jesus Christ is the “true Messiah”.

In an email sent out to the diocese in Birmingham, priests were reportedly told: “Try to use language that won’t add further confusion or tension or take away anything from the good news of the Nativity.”

This is like something out of evangelical Christian fiction.

The attack is relentless

I don’t know if you want to know this, but the summer is way over and it is almost time for the holidays.

I don’t mean “the holidays” as in “happy holidays” as in “I’m sorry you’re Jewish,” I mean “holidays” in that there is a period with several holidays in it, leading up to Christmas and then New Years.

This is September and Thanksgiving is in October. Actually, Thanksgiving might be in November? I don’t really recall. I generally just wait for someone else to inform me on such matters.

It’s basically Christmas.

Every year, I try to remind people not to harass their families about the Jews (or other political issues) during family events. This is a waste of time and it will ruin your relationships, to no benefit of you or them.

It’s not really that close to the holidays, so I’m not writing that article yet. However, in order to get people thinking about it before I write that article, I have collected three of my previous articles dealing with this topic, which you may enjoy:

The management of a preschool in Austria has uninvited Santa Claus from his annual scheduled visit to see the children citing cultural differences.

The kindergarten, located in the town of Plainfeld, Salzburg, opted to cancel the event linked to the Christian religious holidays as it considered it to be inappropriate in an ever-increasing diverse community, according to the Salzburger Nachrichten newspaper.

“The management claimed diversity and cultural differences as well as some children being afraid of the figure,” the newspaper reported.

Parents of the children expressed their anger at the school leadership team for the decision.

“Outraged parents reported to the community. Nobody understood why,” said local mayor Wolfgang Ganzenhuber, who revealed he too was baffled by the cancelation.

“No one has ever complained to me about Santa Claus coming to the children. “The kindergarten plans really horrified me,” he added.

Ganzenhuber also revealed there are “hardly any children with a migrant background in the Plainfeld kindergarten,” making the decision even more puzzling.

I’ve heard that Santa can be a foreign type influence. Like an Americanization thing. But Germany is where he came from. Santa is a German tradition.

We see the kids dying in Palestine and we all are outraged. But we have to recognize that the Jews want to destroy everyone on earth, to ruin all of the children in the world, and they don’t only use bombs to do that.

We need to free Palestine, we need to free Santa Claus.

The Julian calendar was not invented by Vladimir Putin, but by Julius Caesar in 46 BC. The reasons that the Gregorian calendar was adopted by Rome and the Byzantines used the Julian calendar are practical, or political, or logistical, or whatever – it really doesn’t matter. What matters is that Christmas is a traditional holiday, and the second most important holiday in all Christian faiths.

Some hook-nosed ratty little kike coming along and changing your ancient traditions should make you sick, no matter how you feel about Russians.

This is like saying “we are going to stop eating soup because Russians eat soup.”

The canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) has announced that it will not follow President Volodymyr Zelensky’s order to celebrate Christmas Day on Dec. 25, in line with Western Christian tradition.

On Friday, Zelensky signed a decree aligning the celebration of one of the most important Christian holidays with the Gregorian calendar. Ukraine has historically celebrated the birth of Christ on Jan. 7, according to the Julian calendar.

A spokesman for Metropolitan Kliment of the UOC, which has historic ties with the Russian Orthodox Church, told the Strana.ua website on Saturday: “It is absolutely certain that the vast majority of Ukrainians of different religious denominations will celebrate next Christmas in the same way as they have done so far.

“Of course, one would have hoped that these people and their traditions would be respected. But we got what we got,” they added.

Earlier this month, the Ukrainian parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, voted to abolish the annual state holiday of Jan. 7.

The custom of celebrating the birth of Christ on Dec. 25 originated in Turkish Orthodox Christianity, the pastor explained.

Campus Reform:

Michigan State University (MSU) has a language guide, updated annually, for its official communications, discouraging the use of certain words and terms which the university claims may be offensive.

“The origins of seemingly innocuous idioms or words may be racist, sexist or ableist in nature,” the guide claims, citing phrases like “cake walk,” “tipping point,” “bonkers,” and “rule of thumb” as examples of potentially harmful language.

Other words flagged as problematic include “tribe,” “founder,” “minorities,” and “’America’ when referring to the United States.” Using the words “fundamentalist” and “terrorist” when writing about religious extremists was also discouraged.

Positive language surrounding traditionally Christian holidays was not exempt from MSU’s critique.

“In winter and spring, avoid references to majority religious imagery and language, such as the word ‘merry’ or ‘Christmas trees,’ ‘wreaths,’ ‘holly,’ ‘bells,’ ‘gifts,’ ‘reindeer,’ ‘bunnies,’ ‘eggs’ and ‘chicks.’ Use terms like ‘wishing you a wonderful winter/spring break’ or ‘best wishes for the new year,'” reads the guide.

Such language is being removed from university communications to align “with strategic efforts around diversity, equity and inclusion” undertaken by MSU.

Universities across the country have been compiling lists of words that faculty, staff, and students are discouraged from using due to their allegedly bigoted origins or connotations.

In January, the University of Southern California School of Social Work decided to remove the word “field” from its communications due to its percieved ties to slavery. At Stanford University, meanwhile, the word “American” was designated as potentially offensive, though the university later walked that back.

Harmful language lists have spread beyond colleges and universities, with mainstream news outlets like Politico now adopting similar blacklists.

MSU says some terms are to be avoided due to their purported harm to American Indian communities. “Pioneer,” “frontier,” “conquer and divide,” and “powwow,” among others, are listed in this category

“POC [People of Color],” “BIPOC [Black, Indigenous, and People of Color],” and “QTBIPOC [Queer, Transgender, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color]” are also barred by the university as they argue the terms are not inclusive enough.

The guide places emphasis on “representing diversity of size in communication,” as well.

The terms “obese,” “obesity,” and “overweight,” are described as “pathologizing stigmas in the size-diversity community” and, according to the guide, should not be used “when describing individuals.” Instead, the guide recommends the use of “higher weight,” “larger-bodied,” or “students of size.”

So, here’s the thing: this is obviously retarded.

A unilateral ceasefire in Ukraine declared by Russian President Vladimir Putin officially came into force on Friday but the hours leading up to the truce saw renewed fighting, with Kyiv rejecting the move as a trick.

Russia’s Channel 1 state television said the ceasefire began at noon Moscow time (0900 GMT) “along the entire line of contact” in the conflict.

Reuters could not immediately establish if there had actually been any lull in fighting.

Putin ordered the 36-hour ceasefire in the 10-month-long war in a surprise move in Thursday, saying it would mark the Russian Orthodox Christian Christmas.

But Ukraine and its Western allies dismissed it, calling it a ploy aimed at giving Moscow time to reinforce troops and equipment along the eastern front.

Russia, a Christian country, offered a "Christmas Truce" to the Ukraine.

The Ukraine leader, who is not a Christian, rejected this.

Zelensky, who is an actor, believes that Jesus Christ is in hell boiling in a vat of feces.

Earlier on Friday morning – Christmas Eve for Russians and many Ukrainians – Russian shells hit Kramatorsk, a Ukrainian city near the frontline in the industrial Donetsk region that Russia claims as its territory, the city mayor said.

“Kramatorsk is under fire. Stay in shelters,” mayor Oleksandr Honcharenko said on social media. He did not give details of damage.

Shortly after the ceasefire was due to come into effect, Russian-backed officials accused Ukraine of shelling the city of Donetsk with artillery, Russia’s state-run TASS news agency said.

Despite air raid warnings sounding in several regions, no major air strikes were reported by Ukrainian officials after the ceasefire starting time.

In Putin’s surprise announcement on Thursday, he unilaterally ordered his troops to observe a ceasefire from Friday to run through the Russian Orthodox Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy rejected the idea out of hand, saying the goal was to halt the progress of Ukraine’s forces in Donetsk and the wider eastern Donbas region and bring in more of Moscow’s forces.

“They now want to use Christmas as a cover, albeit briefly, to stop the advances of our boys in Donbas and bring equipment, ammunitions and mobilised troops closer to our positions,” Zelenskiy said in his Thursday night video address.

“What will that give them? Only yet another increase in their total losses.”

He just keeps on going.

Surely at some point, Ukrainians are going to begin to ask what exactly is going on here?
