The American university is being transformed into a sacred space for the propagation of an orthodoxy of a new secular religion:

“When a mob at Vermont’s Middlebury College shut down a speech by social scientist Charles Murray a few weeks ago, most of us saw it as another instance of campus illiberalism. Jonathan Haidt saw something more—a ritual carried out by adherents of what he calls a “new religion,” an auto-da-fé against a heretic for a violation of orthodoxy.

“The great majority of college students want to learn. They’re perfectly reasonable, and they’re uncomfortable with a lot of what’s going on,” Mr. Haidt, a psychologist and professor of ethical leadership at New York University’s Stern School of Business, tells me during a recent visit to his office. “But on each campus there are some true believers who have reoriented their lives around the fight against evil.” …

Students and professors know, he adds, that “if you step out of line at all, you will be called a racist, sexist or homophobe. In fact it’s gotten so bad out there that there’s a new term—‘ophobophobia,’ which is the fear of being called x-ophobic.” …”

The new sins against political correctness are racism, sexism, nativism, anti-Semitism, xenophobia, transphobia, homophobia, Islamophobia, misogyny and white privilege.

You don’t want to be out of step with the “mainstream” now do you, goy?

There are other central themes of the narrative like the notion that we are a “nation of immigrants” and that “diversity is our strength.”

Where did these ideas from? Surprisingly, they were all coined by various academics and leftwing activists. They were propagated by the mass media after the Second World War which began calling itself the “mainstream.” They didn’t come from the West’s great religions or philosophers. We threw traditional morality in the garbage and replaced it with The Narrative as revealed by television.

This is how it happened with “racism” from 1935 to 1945:

American racial attitudes were transformed in that ten year window:

Imagine the realization that must have occurred to these mid-20th century media elites: because of the rise of film, television, radio and nationally circulating newspapers and magazines, they suddenly had the power to disrupt and transform organic cultures from thousands of miles away. In a matter of ten years, they had completely transformed the way White Americans thought about race.

If this could be done so easily with race, what else could the same model be applied to? Couldn’t you rewrite our sense of identity in attempt to create a “New Man”? In a nutshell, that’s how we got to where we are today as the –isms and -phobias multiplied while various cultural traditions and voices were declared to be outside the “mainstream” and were suppressed.

In order to make it work, you need a loyal opposition. That’s where respectable conservatism comes in at exactly the same time that the “mainstream” was being born.

Note: The discourse about “hate” and “hate groups” and “hate crimes” is a narrative the “mainstream” uses as a lens to describe its enemies.

National Survey: Only 12% of College Professors Believe in Free Speech https://www.anglinarchive.com/2017/03/11/national-survery-only-12-of-college-professors-believe-in-free-speech/ Sat, 11 Mar 2017 00:00:00 +0000 Eric Striker

It always turns my stomach when some conservative laments the current state at free speech at Berkeley with the qualifier that the school is the “birth place of the free speech movement” – a reference to the hippie movement of the sixties.

With the exception of Mario Savio (who was chosen to be spokesman to throw the goyim off the Hebrew trail), the free speech movement was populated entirely by Jewish communists: Jack Weinberg, a bunch of people with the surname Goldberg, Steve Weissman, etc. I believe the Vietnam war was wrong, just like the poverty of peasants that led to the inept Czar’s overthrow in Russia was wrong, but Jews always jump on an exoteric good cause to garner popular support for an esoteric bad one. In this case, Cultural Marxism pushed through under the umbrella “free speech.”

That free speech was only for themselves, as a means to an end, which was to suppress the normal majority. Today’s college campus environment is exactly what Jack Weinberg, Allen Ginsburg and all the other 1960s Yids wanted all along. The generation they recruited now controls these institutions, and Jews themselves hold a firm grip on the elite schools.

Boston Magazine:

The Higher Education Research Institute has asked tens of thousands of professors nationwide if they agree or disagree with the notion that colleges should prohibit racist and sexist speech on campus. Nationally, 33 percent of faculty strongly agreed with the idea of speech prohibition, while 12 percent strongly disagreed. The remaining 55 percent of faculty were in the middle, where they somewhat agreed or somewhat disagreed with the idea.

Beneath the disguise of civility (an underhanded manipulation of Anglo-Saxon culture), college has become an extended high school indoctrination center for most young Americans. Because labels like “racist,” “sexist” and “homophobic” are made up gobbledygook, now it’s prohibited to, let’s say, argue that male and female are biological realities and transsexuals are just insane.

An anatomy textbook is really no different than Mein Kampf – a tool of the patriarchy designed to reinforce discredited positions of privilege.

None of this is actually about protecting people’s feelings. While conservatives are right that people on campus are snowflakes, that’s besides the point. The real reason Jews across the nation mandate or encourage a shutdown of free speech in our academic culture is so (((Stephen Jay Gould’s))) intellectual alchemy Mismeasure of Man can defeat Charles Murray’s hard science in The Bell Curve without actually having to pit weak Jewish ideas against strong and convincing ones.

Better to just get a mob of underlings to beat up the guy arguing his case, in the mind of Jewish thugs like the ones at the SPLC, who put Murray on their various lists.

That’s not to say I agree with all of Charles Murray’s findings, but he’s right on the racial link to IQ – Gould is simply a standard Jewish liar. It’s not that Jews and their liberals don’t want to allow free speech, it’s that they can’t. If we all had the equal right to speak our minds that the Constitution guarantees, we’d be in power and the New York Times editorial board would be forced to make Aliyah.

Charles Murray: The Revolution in Middlebury https://www.anglinarchive.com/2017/03/06/charles-murray-the-revolution-in-middlebury/ Mon, 06 Mar 2017 00:00:00 +0000 Hunter Wallace

Charles Murray reflects on his experience at Middlebury College:

“A few months ago, AEI’s student group at Middlebury College invited me to speak on the themes in Coming Apart and how they relate to the recent presidential election. Professor Allison Stanger of the Political Science Department agreed to serve as moderator of the Q&A and to ask the first three questions herself. …

The three of us got to the car, with the security guards keeping protesters away while we closed and locked the doors. Then we found that the evening wasn’t over. So many protesters surrounded the car, banging on the sides and the windows and rocking the car, climbing onto the hood, that Bill had to inch forward lest he run over them. At the time, I wouldn’t have objected. Bill must have a longer time horizon than I do.

Extricating ourselves took a few blocks and several minutes. When we had done so and were finally satisfied that no cars were tailing us, we drove to the dinner venue. Allison and I went in and started chatting with the gathered students and faculty members. Suddenly Bill reappeared and said abruptly, “We’re leaving. Now.” The protesters had discovered where the dinner was being held and were on their way. So it was the three of us in the car again. …

Absent an adequate disciplinary response, I fear that the Middlebury episode could become an inflection point. In the twenty-three years since The Bell Curve was published, I have had considerable experience with campus protests. Until last Thursday, all of the ones involving me have been as carefully scripted as kabuki: The college administration meets with the organizers of the protest and ground rules are agreed upon. …

If you promise to bear that in mind, I will say what I’m thinking and rely on you to discount it appropriately: What happened last Thursday has the potential to be a disaster for American liberal education.”

Why do American taxpayers subsidize this nonsense?

If these college and universities are nothing more than breeding grounds for budding little communists who violently suppress free speech, why not cut off their gravy train? Why are we paying for this?

SPLC Hate Crime: Female University Professor Who Accompanied Charles Murray Away from Protests Attacked https://www.anglinarchive.com/2017/03/04/splc-hate-crime-female-university-professor-who-accompanied-charles-murry-away-from-protests-attacked/ Sat, 04 Mar 2017 00:00:00 +0000 Andrew Anglin

Charles Murray is not a white nationalist. He is even against Trump.

All he did was write a book about the science of IQ – The Bell Curve – several decades ago.

This got him on the SPLC hit list, and justified organizing riots against him.

Addison County Independent:

Middlebury College Professor Allison Stanger was injured by protesters Thursday evening as she was escorting a controversial speaker from campus. She was treated at Porter Hospital and released.

Charles Murray, a political scientist who has been criticized for his views on race and intelligence, was invited to speak on campus by a student group. He was greeted late Thursday afternoon outside McCullough Student Center by hundreds of protesters, and inside Wilson Hall, students turned their backs to him when he got up to speak.

College officials led Murray to another location and a closed circuit broadcast showed him being interviewed by Stanger, the Russell J. Leng ’60 Professor of International Politics and Economics.

As Stanger, Murray and a college administrator left McCullough Student Center last evening following the event, they were “physically and violently confronted by a group of protestors,” according to Bill Burger, the college’s vice president for communications and marketing.

Burger said college public safety officers managed to get Stanger and Murray into the administrator’s car.

“The protestors then violently set upon the car, rocking it, pounding on it, jumping on and try to prevent it from leaving campus,” he said. “At one point a large traffic sign was thrown in front of the car. Public Safety officers were able, finally, to clear the way to allow the vehicle to leave campus.

“During this confrontation outside McCullough, one of the demonstrators pulled Prof. Stanger’s hair and twisted her neck,” Burger continued. “She was attended to at Porter Hospital later and (on Friday) is wearing a neck brace.”

…

The Southern Poverty Law Center has called Murray a “white nationalist” who has used “racist pseudoscience.”

Imagine if the Daily Stormer was organizing violent riots against college speakers and some woman got her neck twisted by a riot mob and was forced to wear a neck brace.

Seriously, just imagine that for a second.

I would be indicted.

But the SPLC can do this non-stop, and nothing happens.

The SPLC is a criminal gang.

Why are these people not being investigated under RICO?

Snowflakes Shout Down ‘White Supremacist’ Charles Murray at Middlebury College https://www.anglinarchive.com/2017/03/03/snowflakes-shout-down-white-supremacist-charles-murray-at-middlebury-college/ Fri, 03 Mar 2017 00:00:00 +0000 Hunter Wallace

I wish I could say that I sympathize with Charles Murray:

“MIDDLEBURY, Vt. — Hundreds of college students on Thursday protested a lecture by a writer some called a white nationalist, forcing the college to move his talk to an undisclosed campus location from which it was live-streamed to the original venue but couldn’t be heard above protesters’ chants, feet stamping and occasional smoke alarms. …

Middlebury College students turned their backs on Murray just as he started to speak Thursday and chanted “Who is the enemy? White supremacy!” ‘’Racist, sexist, anti-gay, Charles Murray, go away!” and “Your message is hatred. We cannot tolerate it.”

They continued their chants until the college announced that Murray would speak from another location on campus. Students continued their protests, drowning out the talk.

More than 450 alumni also signed a letter calling the decision to have Murray on campus “unacceptable.” …”

Here is the letter signed by the 450 alumni:

“Dear Middlebury College,

We are Middlebury alumni/ae who were disappointed, confused and alarmed to learn that Charles Murray has been invited to speak at our alma mater. The Southern Poverty Law Center considers Dr. Murray a “white nationalist” who “us[es] racist pseudoscience and misleading statistics to argue that social inequality is caused by… genetic inferiority.” Why has such a person been granted a platform at Middlebury?

Since Dr. Murray’s views are not worth engaging on these grounds, this can hardly be called an occasion for open, rigorous academic debate. His invitation to campus, then, is not an educational opportunity, but a threat. It is a message to every woman, every person of color, every first-generation student, every poor and working-class person, every disabled person and every queer person that not only their acceptance to and presence at Middlebury, but also their safety, their agency, their humanity and even their very right to exist are all up for “debate.” As a coalition of eight Middlebury student organizations wrote in Beyond the Green in 2016: “When you ask us to consider the other side of the argument, you are asking us to consider our assumed inferiority as a logical position. In no way does this consideration further our (or your) education.” In this case, there’s not really any “other side,” only deceptive statistics masking unfounded bigotry. In the context of Middlebury, Dr. Murray’s pseudo-scholarship is not merely pseudo-scholarship. It is intimidation. …”

The Southern Poverty Law Center considers …

I don’t.

This is a man who has spent over a year on Twitter counter-signaling President Trump, the Alt-Right and White Nationalists at every opportunity that has presented itself. He wrote a whole book, Coming Apart: The State of White America, 1960-2010, which was solely about Whites because he was too afraid of being called a racist to write again about the black underclass. He is not one of us. His real friends are establishment neocons like Bret Stephens and Bill Kristol.

If those people want to rise to Charles Murray’s defense, the people who sit on AEI panels and call for the “lazy, spoiled White working class” to be replaced by Third World immigrants, they can do so. As I told him on Twitter, we will remember everything he has said about us. Eventually, the same SJWs who destroyed the career of his protégé Jason Richwine were going to come for the author of The Bell Curve, even if he is on Twitter every other day denouncing President Trump.

Without further ado, I present to you “Racist, sexist, anti-gay, Charles Murray, go away!”

Update: The snowflakes are screaming chants about “ableism” and “homophobia.” Yes, we’ve reached the point where the concept of physical disability – the inequality that inevitably results from “a limitation on a person’s physical functioning, mobility, dexterity or stamina” – has become an affront to political correctness and egalitarian dogma and is classified as “hate speech.”

I’m watching this video and it is like these snowflakes have crossed the event horizon of the idea “All Men Are Created Equal” and have descended into a black hole of mental retardation. How is someone who is blind or deaf “equal” to someone who is not in their capacity to see or hear? How is someone who is paralyzed “equal” to an Olympic athlete in their capacity to compete in a 100-meter dash?
