Chanel Lewis — the man serving a life sentence for the murder of Queens jogger Karina Vetrano — should have his conviction overturned because cops used an unfair “racial dragnet” targeting black men before landing on him as their prime suspect, his attorneys argued in new court papers.

Prosecutors allegedly failed to disclose the use of the so-called dragnet — in which the NYPD conducted DNA testing on “hundreds of black men” — before arresting Lewis, now 27, in the high-profile 2016 slaying, according to the documents filed Monday.

Detectives used the controversial testing method all because Parabon Nanolabs — “an outside, unlicensed lab” — had concluded “that the DNA profile of the perpetrator generated from the crime scene belonged to a black man,” Lewis’ lawyers, Ronald Kuby and Rhidaya Trivedi, wrote in the filing.

“How this racial dragnet led specifically to Chanel Lewis’ door remains unknown,” the filing states.

The alleged use of the dragnet was not disclosed to the defense team ahead of trial, the attorneys claimed.

In fact, it only came to light in a whistleblower letter that surfaced before jury deliberations at the second trial where Lewis was ultimately convicted — following a hung jury at the first trial, according to the court document.

Parabon had issued a report to the NYPD after conducting biogeographic ancestry and phenotyping analysis on DNA lifted from the 30-year-old Howard Beach jogger’s cellhone, the filing alleges.

Since-resigned prosecutor Brad Leventhal allegedly “intentionally” hid Parabon’s report — and the “paper trail” showing that the NYPD used the company that wasn’t licensed in New York state, the court papers claim.

Testimony from detectives at trial “was carefully tailored to maintain a shroud of secrecy over the racial dragnet,” — with one detective allegedly lying at least once on the stand, the filing claims.

Lewis’ right to a fair trial was violated and had the new evidence come out earlier he may not have been convicted, his attorneys argued.

“While the truth of what happened in this case remains unknown, what is known is that the truth has been willfully, intentionally, and maliciously suppressed, in order to guarantee a conviction,” the filing charges.

I’m not sure why this case received so much media attention, because far worse black-on-white murders occur every single day, but I’m glad it did.

The jarring juxtaposition between that attractive human face on the right and that repulsive apelike face on the left was awesome propaganda for us, even though it wasn’t intended as such.

I’m positive this crime prompted countless normies to look up from their newspapers, check to ensure that no one was within earshot, and mutter those eternal words under their breath: “Fucking niggers.”

They buried their daughter and sat through a murder trial twice, but Monday night, Karina Vetrano’s parents had their prayers answered, CBS New York reports. After less than five hours of deliberations, the jury delivered a guilty verdict on all counts, including first-degree murder and sexual assault. The courtroom, filled with Vetrano’s family and friends, erupted in cheers and applause, while the family of convicted Chanel Lewis remained silent.

The thunderous reaction from the Vetrano side of the courtroom was unmistakable when the jurors delivered a guilty verdict on each of the four counts against Lewis. The 22-year-old was retried after the first court case ended in a hung jury.

Lewis is now a convicted murderer, found guilty of killing Vetrano while she was out for a jog near her Howard Beach home in 2016 in the Queens borough of New York City. Lewis didn’t react to the verdict.

Vetrano’s family and friends were elated to hear the news. Her parents, Kathy and Phillip, said a few words as they left the courtroom.

“Jubilation. Justice. Justice has been served,” Phillip told reporters while leaving court.

Could it be because many of the jurors were coloreds who declared Chanel innocent just because he’s black?

The man accused of murdering a Queens jogger was back in court Tuesday, as a judge set a date for his retrial.

Jury selection for Chanel Lewis will begin March 12.

Lewis is accused of murdering 30-year-old Karina Vetrano in 2016 as she jogged in a park near her family’s home in Howard Beach.

The jury in Lewis’ first trial failed to reach a verdict two months ago, resulting in a mistrial.

Justice Michael Aloise declared the mistrial after the jurors were split, with seven voting guilty and five not guilty.

After only a day and a half of deliberations, the jury sent a note to the judge saying they could not make progress one way or another and had exhausted all thoughts and opinions.

The defense asked for a mistrial, and prosecutors and the judge agreed, telling the stunned courtroom there was a hung jury.

Parents Cathie and Phil Vetrano left the courtroom with tears in their eyes that day, more than two years after the murder of their daughter, no closer to justice.
