Lloyd Koger Jr., left, and James Phillips.

Being in a car with two blacks is bad enough, but being in a car with two blacks that look like that?

What was this man thinking?

KWWL:

A second person is facing charges in a 2017 shooting that left one 34-year-old Cedar Rapids man dead.

Leland Harris, 34, was found in an alley in the 500 block of 10th Street SW on November 22, 2017. After being examined by the Linn County Medical Examiner’s Office it was determined he died from a gunshot wound.

Police had already arrested one man for the murder of Harris’ but have now announced their investigation has led them to another suspect.

Lloyd Koger Jr., 42, has now been charged with Murder in the 1st-degree, intimidation with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit a forcible felony, felon in possession of a firearm, accessory after the face, and driving while barred, in connection with Harris’ death.

In early April, James Phillips, 19, of Cedar Rapids, was charged with 1st-degree-murder, theft in the 1st-degree, conspiracy to commit a forcible felony, and going armed-with-intent.

According to a criminal complaint, investigators with the Cedar Rapids Police Department determined Phillips was allegedly a passenger in the backseat of a vehicle Harris was also in. Phillips was allegedly armed with a firearm and shot Harris from the backseat, killing him. Phillips then, allegedly shot Harris two more times, after pushing him out of the vehicle and stole Harris’ wallet and cellphone. The complaint goes on to say that Phillips allegedly planned the attack, with the intent to kill Harris.

Police investigators determined Koger was the driver of the vehicle in which Phillips shot Harris from the backseat, according to a new criminal complaint. It also alleges that Koger was in possession of a firearm and provided it to Phillips with the understanding it would be used to intimidate Harris.

After the shooting Koger allegedly drove the car out of town, attempted to clean it, and ultimately sold the vehicle.

…

Phillips’ trial was originally set for August 19th, 2019. It has now been reset to March 23rd, 2020.

Marcos Orozco.

70 years is a hell of a long time to keep a taco bender housed, fed and watered.

Wouldn’t it be better if we shoved these colored convicts into gladiator pits and made them fight to the death for the public’s amusement?

Just throwing out ideas here.

The Denver Channel:

A man convicted of second-degree murder for a crash that killed two people has been sentenced to 70 years in prison.

The Coloradoan reports 20-year-old Marcos Orozco was sentenced Friday in the deaths of Nicole Nees of Fort Collins and her father, John Nees of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

The crash occurred last Thanksgiving Day. Authorities say the victims had been shopping for Thanksgiving dinner and were stopped at a red light when Orozco, driving a stolen pickup, crashed into the rear of their vehicle at 90 mph (145 kph).

Earlier that day, prosecutors said, Orozco had used the stolen pickup to crash into a pawn shop and steal firearms. Most of the weapons were found in the pickup after the fatal crash.

James Stephan Phillips.

All of this additional planning and expense just so one worthless monkoid can have a “fair trial.”

The Jewdicial system is a joke.

The Gazette:

A judge Friday reset the first-degree murder trial of a Cedar Rapids man accused of shooting Leland Harris from the back seat of a car in 2017.

Lawyers for James Stephan Phillips, 19, told 6th Judicial District Judge Mary Chicchelly more time was needed for discovery and preparation. She reset the trial to March 23 in Linn County District Court.

Phillips was charged in April with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit a forcible felony, first-degree theft and going armed with intent. He is accused of fatally shooting Harris, 34, of Cedar Rapids, on Nov. 21, 2017.

A criminal complaint charges the shooting happened in a vehicle when Phillips shot Harris from the back seat. The complaint doesn’t specify if Harris was in the front seat or in the back seat with Phillips.

The first shot killed Harris, but Phillips fired two more shots, striking Harris, after pushing him out of the vehicle, according to the complaint.

Phillips also is accused of conspiring or agreeing with others to commit the crime of intimidation with a dangerous weapon and/or aid another in the planning of a crime.

Police say Phillips, after killing Harris, took his cellphone, wallet and cash.

Witnesses told police Phillips was the shooter and the only person in the vehicle with a gun, according to the criminal complaint.

…

Phillips was convicted in June in a separate case of third-degree sexual abuse and faces 10 years in prison.

I never would have guessed a man with a face like that would also be facing sexual abuse charges.

For a “discredited” science, physiognomy sure seems to be right 99% of the time.

Imagine being 34 years old and thinking it was acceptable to let this predatory-looking negroid into your car.

Imagine how deracinated and naive you must be to think that doing so wouldn’t end in robbery, murder and/or anal rape.

Black Pleads Guilty to Vehicular Homicide of White Woman https://www.anglinarchive.com/2014/01/12/black-pleads-guilty-to-vehicular-homicide-of-white-woman/ Sun, 12 Jan 2014 00:00:00 +0000 KCRG

Angela Marie Kuehl, killed by being a passenger in a car driven by a Black. ‘She was a people person with a beautiful smile and a bubbly personality who liked to dance, and especially enjoyed children.’

A 29-year-old Cedar Rapids man pleaded guilty last week to vehicular homicide in the death of an Alburnett woman in March 2012 and faces up to 12 years in prison.

Jermonda Pledge pleaded guilty to homicide by vehicle -reckless driving, a felony, and driving while barred, a misdemeanor, Jan. 2, in Linn County District Court. He also originally was charged with homicide by vehicle – OWI but that charge, which carries a 25 year prison term, was dismissed as part of the plea agreement.

Sentencing is set Jan. 23, in Linn County District Court.

According to a criminal complaint, Pledge sped through a red light and lost control of his vehicle near the intersection of County Home Road and C Avenue Extension March 18, 2012. His girlfriend and passenger, Angela Kuehl, 29, of Alburnett, was ejected from the passenger side window as the car rolled over several times. Kuehl died at the scene from her injuries.

Jermonda Pledge - mug
Jermonda Pledge finally pleaded guilty when he realized he had no other choice.

First Assistant Linn County Attorney Nick Maybanks said Pledge admitted to smoking marijuana earlier that day and drinking alcohol that night of the accident, but the crash occurred about 3:30 a.m., he passed a field sobriety test about 6 a.m., and by the time a warrant was issued to take his blood test about 9:15 a.m., his blood alcohol content level was .00. The legal limit is .08.

Pledge during the plea hearing admitted to driving at a high rate of speed, 75 mph, and being reckless that night.

Maybanks said there was a small amount of THC found in his blood but lab officials in Indiana, where it was sent for further testing, said it wasn’t possible to say if that amount caused an impairment.

“They said there was too many variables to consider like how much he smoked that night and what was the grade of marijuana – those would play a factor,” Maybanks said.

Maybanks said it would be difficult to prove that he was under the influence to the point of impairment, which is required to prove the homicide by vehicle – OWI charge. Witnesses at the scene said Pledge didn’t seem impaired and even a deputy couldn’t say he was impaired.

Maybanks said Pledge, who was out of the car when authorities arrived, denied driving the car at first but he had injuries consistent with the accident, and the crime lab identified his blood in several locations on the driver’s side of the vehicle. The plea agreement was the best outcome for this case.
