The British pride themselves on being reasonable. I don’t think this is something that is usually true. Or rather, it is possibly only true when they are comparing themselves to Americans.

Presumably, to continental Europeans, and certainly to everyone else in the world, the British look like complete lunatics.

But the mainstream of society has rejected the child tranny agenda. You’ve gotta give them that.

Doctors are quitting the British Medical Association in revolt at its opposition to a landmark review into gender identity services for children.

Many members, including NHS leaders and former presidents of medical royal colleges, have voiced their dismay over the report, led by paediatrician Hilary Cass.

They have accused the BMA of being influenced by a ‘vocal minority’ with an ideological agenda.

The controversy began when the BMA’s 69-member council voted to formally reject the Cass review, which recommended halting the prescription of sex hormones to young patients with gender dysphoria.

Critics within the BMA, including some senior council members, argued that the decision does not represent the views of the broader membership and lacked transparency.

Jacky Davis, a consultant radiologist and council member, told The Times: ‘This minority has voted to block the implementation of Cass, an evidence-based review which took four years to put together.

‘They have no evidence for their opposition. The Cass review is not a matter for a trade union. It is not our business as a union to be doing a critique of the Cass review. It is a waste of time and resources.’

In response, more than 1,400 doctors, including nearly 70 professors and 23 former or current presidents of medical royal colleges, signed an open letter urging the BMA to drop its opposition to the Cass review.

Many expressed their frustration, with some resigning or considering resignation from the union.

Tavistock was part of a lot of conspiracy theories I used to read back in the 00s.

I think all those theories were all probably true.

If you’re turning kids into trannies, I don’t think there’s anything else you wouldn’t do.

A new gender clinic for children has been launched by a former NHS psychologist who allegedly agreed a teenage girl should be prescribed puberty blockers because she liked Thomas The Tank Engine.

The private service, which charges £1,500 to assess under-18s for gender dysphoria, has been set up by Dr Heather Wood, who for years worked at the scandal-hit Tavistock gender identity clinic.

The London centre was shut down in March after a damning review declared it ‘unsafe’ over its use of puberty-blocking drugs on vulnerable young people.

This stuff still happens, they just buy them from private practices

The NHS also banned prescribing the powerful drugs to children.

Dr Wood’s new clinic does not currently offer such prescriptions, but its website says it is in discussions to do so with independent providers.

Dr Wood is understood to have received a large taxpayer-funded payout when the Tavistock closed, and opened Dignity Gender Assessment Services in Leeds a few weeks ago.

Previously a whistleblower at the Tavistock claimed Dr Wood had recommended giving a teenage girl puberty blockers after they said they had liked a Thomas The Tank Engine train in early childhood.

The whistleblower claimed Dr Wood had called her ‘transphobic’ when she raised concerns.

Former Tavistock patients given the drugs have sued the NHS after saying they later changed their mind about transitioning.

Dr Wood’s new clinic is being operated alongside another pyschologist Dr Adele McGovern who previously worked at a sister clinic to the Tavistock gender clinic in Leeds.

It does not currently offer prescriptions for puberty blockers or cross-sex hormones, but the website states that ‘we’re discussing use of our reports with independent endocrine providers’.

Last night, lawyer Paul Conrathe, who has represented former Tavistock patients, said: ‘The NHS has instituted significant changes that protect vulnerable children and young people from an experimental treatment that has irreversible life-long consequences.

‘Those safeguards and protections do not exist in the private sector. This two-tier system exposes vulnerable young people to a significant risk of lifelong harm.’

Other ex-Tavistock staff to have set up private clinics include psychologist Aidan Kelly who runs up Gender Plus.

The clinic in London lists six other ex-Tavistock employees on its website.

I had heard that the British were less enthusiastic about the child tranny thing.

I guess I read it. I didn’t hear it.

But this woman is just saying she’s going to do it anyway, and no one is like, prosecuting her.

Why would you speak out against this?

We must assume that everyone knows injecting children with hormones to mutilate them is not really a very good idea.

No one who supports this program of destroying children is going to be moved by a doctor saying “hey, this is actually bad.”

If you’re going to try to work and be a part of this dying, satanic empire, you’d best just keep your head down.

Critical thinking and open debate are pillars of scientific and medical research. Yet experienced professionals are increasingly scared to openly discuss their views on the treatment of children questioning their gender identity.

This was the conclusion drawn by Hilary Cass in her review of gender identity services for children this week, which warned that a toxic debate had resulted in a culture of fear.

Her conclusion was echoed by doctors, academic researchers and scientists, who have said this climate has had a chilling effect on research in an area that is in desperate need of better evidence.

Yeah, all the research has to say that puberty blockers lower the suicide rate of trannies. If they say something different, their lives get destroyed.

But like… it’s the same with every other policy of the empire. You can’t say anything about anything, or they will destroy your life.

Some said they had been deterred from pursuing what they believed to be crucial studies, saying that merely entering the arena would put their reputation at risk. Others spoke of abuse on social media, academic conferences being shut down, biases in publishing and the personal cost of speaking out.

“In most areas of health, medical researchers have freedom to answer questions to problems without fear of judgment,” said Dr Channa Jayasena, a consultant in reproductive endocrinology at Imperial College London. “I’ve never quite known a field where the risks are also in how you’re seen and your beliefs. You have to be careful about what you say both in and out of the workplace.”

Sallie Baxendale, a professor of clinical neuropsychology at UCL’s Institute of Neurology, received abuse after publishing a systematic review of studies that investigated the impact of puberty blockers on brain development. Her review found that “critical questions” remained around the nature, extent and permanence of any arrested development of cognitive function linked to the treatment.

How could using chemicals to block puberty not cause all kinds of problems?

It’s been shown to lower the IQ by like, 10 points.

The study in question, that one somehow published in the UK in February, says the average drop is 7.

The paper, which summarised the state of relevant research, was met with an immediate backlash. “I’ve been accused of being an anti-trans activist, and that now comes up on Google and is never going to go away,” Baxendale said. “Imagine what it’s like if that is the first thing that comes up when people Google you? Anyone who publishes in this field has got to be prepared for that.”

The lack of high-quality research, highlighted by Cass, has been a subject of growing unease among doctors, according to Dr Juliet Singer, a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist and former governor of the Tavistock and Portman NHS foundation trust.

In 2020, Singer conducted a survey of specialist child psychiatry trainees, which highlighted concerns about the lack of explanation for the exponential growth in referrals to adolescent gender services, the lack of long-term outcome studies on treatments, and insufficient evidence on the long-term effects of hormone blockers.

She said raising questions such as what was driving the unprecedented rise in birth-registered girls presenting with gender-related distress in puberty appeared to be deemed “unacceptable” by some senior leaders at Tavistock.

“There’s been a shutting down of anybody who has suggested we need to think about a deeper understanding of why these young people are in such distress,” she said. “It’s been remarkable the difference from other ordinary clinical practice.”

Another senior researcher in endocrinology, who wished to remain anonymous, said medical professionals had resorted to sharing concerns and views on anonymous WhatsApp groups.

“The bad-mouthing and the social media destruction of people’s reputation and careers is so damning,” the academic said. “Professional people are worried about how they will be characterised on social media and cannot express dissent without it resulting in very aggressive, inappropriate behaviours. It’s causing people to stop talking and just move away from it and not get involved.”

She added: “This isn’t how good scientific debate happens – it happens when people can talk honestly and without fear.”

Yeah well.
