Woke academics have been granted nearly £1.5 million in taxpayer money to study the “white-centricity” of English folk music and how to “decolonise” the art form.

Researchers at the University of Sheffield are set to embark on an “unflinching look at the white-centricity of folk music repertory, performers and audience by conducting fieldwork to shed light on long-standing vernacular singing practices of ethnic minority cultures in England,” according to a report from The Telegraph.

The stated aim of the project will be to “increase accessibility to the folk club scene and take the first step in a process of decolonisation within the folk music canon”.

The academics have been granted £1,485,400 from the UK Research and Innovation’s (UKRI) “Future Leaders fellowship’’, which is funded by the British taxpayer.

The move by the UKRI to use taxpayer money to fund woke endeavours was criticised by the TaxPayer’s Alliance, with investigations campaign manager Joanna Marchong saying: “Taxpayers are fed up with research councils marching to the beat of their own drum and ignoring all concerns for value for money.

“Time and time again, these institutions force hard-pressed households to pay millions for academics to rewrite history and achieve minute goals in return.

“The next government needs to clamp down on research councils to ensure that only worthwhile projects are being greenlit and that any funded research will be of value to taxpayers.”

Like in the United States, UK academics have become increasingly preoccupied with social justice ideologies, with British researchers paying particular attention to the supposed evils of the British Empire.

There has also been a strong push to “deconstruct” English heritage and even the very fabric of what it means to be English. For example, last year “anti-racist” academics at Cambridge argued that the ethnic group of the Anglo-Saxons never actually existed, while claiming that they were being used to prop up “nationalist” sentiments among the public.

Commenting on the obsession with attacking “whiteness” in academia, Professor Dennis Hayes, the director of Academics for Academic Freedom, said that there is an “endless supply of stories about disciplines being told by universities to ‘decolonise’ and of money being spent on studies of ‘whiteness’ in any and every conceivable subject.”

Professor of music at Sheffield University Fay Heild defended the £1.5 million project, saying: “The term decolonisation is often misinterpreted. Our research highlights the different under-recognised communities who have helped to establish cultural life in England. Folk music is a constantly evolving genre, which has taken influences from a diverse range of people over centuries.

“It is part of the UK’s cultural heritage and should be celebrated. Our aim is to break down the barriers for people to get involved in folk music. Opening up the genre to different audiences will help to sustain the nation’s folk music for decades to come.”

Dr. Michael Banner made the statement in defense of a junior research fellow who claimed that Jesus’ body incorporates both masculine and feminine features.

During last Sunday’s evensong service in the college chapel, Cambridge research student Joshua Heath displayed Renaissance and Medieval paintings of Jesus’ crucifixion while asserting that one of the wounds on his body “takes on a decidedly vaginal appearance,” according to the newspaper.

To prove his point, Heath used the 14th-century painting ‘Pieta with the Holy Trinity’ by Jean Malouel, which is a part of the Louvre’s collection. The painting depicts Jesus with a side wound, from which blood is streaming down to the groin.

“In Christ’s simultaneously masculine and feminine body in these works, if the body of Christ [is] as these works suggest the body of all bodies, then his body is also the trans body,” Heath said, as quoted by the outlet.

Cambridge is saying they’re going to respect free speech going forward.

Proposals requiring Cambridge University staff and students to be “respectful” of differing views under a freedom of speech policy have been overwhelmingly rejected in a vote by its governing body.

The policy will instead emphasise “tolerance” of differing views after an amendment put forward by those concerned about the impact on academic freedom was carried by a landslide majority (86.9%).

Cambridge alumni including Stephen Fry had been among those who had opposed elements of the new policy, which the actor and writer had described as “muddled”.

Visitors to the university would also have been asked to be “respectful” of the views and “diverse identities” of others.

It was subject to a ballot in recent weeks among members of the institution’s Regent House, its official governing body, which is largely comprised of academic and senior administrative staff.

There are also implications for the issue of “no platforming” as a result of the support for three amendments, elements of which stress that those invited to speak at the university “must not be stopped from doing so” as long as they remain within the law.

The vote was welcomed by Cambridge’s vice-chancellor, Prof Stephen Toope, as “an emphatic reaffirmation of free speech in our university”.

He added: “Freedom of speech is a right that sits at the heart of the university. This statement is a robust defence of that right.

“The university will always be a place where anyone can express new ideas and controversial or unpopular opinions, and where those views can be robustly challenged. The statement also makes it clear that it is unacceptable to censor, or disinvite, speakers whose views are lawful but may be seen as controversial.

“Rigorous debate is fundamental to the pursuit of academic excellence and the University of Cambridge will always be a place where freedom of speech is not only protected, but strongly encouraged.”

The new policy reads: “In exercising their right to freedom of expression, the university expects its staff, students and visitors to be tolerant of the differing opinions of others, in line with the university’s core value of freedom of expression.

“The university also expects its staff, students and visitors to be tolerant of the diverse identities of others, in line with the university’s core value of freedom from discrimination.”

However, other academics at the university have expressed concern about the changes to the original policy statement, while the Cambridge branch of the Universities and Colleges Union has said that it and the amendments are not “fit for purpose”.

Imagine that professional academics are now at the point where they feel comfortable denouncing freedom of speech as a concept.

When did this happen? I can’t imagine that ten years ago, any single academic at any single respected Western university would say that free expression is “not fit for purpose.”

They say that free speech has to end because it can hurt people’s feelings. I’ve written extensively on the topic, opposing the premise that the reason for banning speech is related to feelings.

In short: I think it’s a fake argument, and they’re actually just silencing ideas that they fear will lead to social movements that they do not approve of because they could put their underlying global agenda in jeopardy.

If they were actually concerned first and foremost about people’s feelings, a lot of things would be different. Furthermore, the core concept of basing official state, corporate and academic policy on the potential for or the claim of hurt feelings is radically deranged and beyond absurdity.

It’s on par with claiming that speech has to be silenced because it will lead to violence, while they encourage people to threaten to kill Donald Trump.

But how brave of Cambridge to take a stand, publicly, in support of free speech.

If Cambridge wants to show they’re serious, why not invite Andrew Anglin to give a speech?

That would be totally bold, given that I am the first and most banned person ever.

I agree to be absolutely and unequivocally respectful to diverse identities. I’m also probably (maybe?) within the law of the UK generally, and I definitely would be in a speech.

I wouldn’t even talk about Jews. Well, I would probably mention them. But if anyone gave me an opportunity to give a speech right now, I would give a speech entitled “Coronavirus, The Great Reset and the Dystopian Nightmare We Have All Signed Off On.”

Either that, or my more proactively titled “Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Gook?: No Chinaman Ever Locked Me in My House,” a speech about how, amidst the greatest violations of basic rights ever in history by Western governments, these same governments are pointing at China and saying we have to go to war with them to give them freedom. (It is a matter of fact that a China run by Joe Biden would be less free than China run by the CCP, no one can really argue that point in an open forum, but here we are.)

I would also participate in a debate with any figure they like on any topic. Although I would like to do a debate on these topics I’ve mentioned: “Are the Coronavirus Lockdowns About Public Health?” or “Is China Less Free Than the West?” I believe that I could win either debate handily, but given that they obviously promote the opposite positions, it would go to follow that they would be willing to debate the issues.

Given this virus nonsense, I will of course agree to do the speech or debate virtually.

If we’re getting serious about freedom of speech here, I would also be willing to debate Stephen Fry on the alleged relationship between AIDS and the supposed HIV retrovirus, or about the alleged Jew Holocaust, both of which I contend are hoaxes and which, as a homosexual Jew, he has a duty to defend in a public forum.

Please note: this is not a joke, I am actually asking to be invited to speak at Cambridge.

If they won’t invite me, then the question becomes: why not?

In a cultural climate totally dominated by white supremacy, where blacks are being hunted down and slaughtered for the color of their skin and the British Empire is reforming to oppress India and Pakistan, it takes real and true bravery to come out and say that white people deserve to be killed.

In a series of tweets since deleted, Dr. Priyamvada Gopal, a professor who specializes in postcolonial literature and “critical race studies” at the University of Cambridge’s Churchill College, declared that “white lives don’t matter,” and that whiteness should be “abolished.”

It seems reasonable enough to say that whites, who after all did slavery, deserve to die for what they’ve done to brown bodies.

But white supremacists don’t want to give up their power, they don’t want to be slaughtered.

A paedophile who raped and sexually assaulted a young girl in Cambridge has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.

The victim disclosed to police and social services that she had been raped and sexually assaulted by Kedienhon for two years, with the abuse starting when she was just seven years old.

Police and social care workers first became aware of the disclosures in October 2015, via an anonymous call made to social services.

Greg Kedienhon, 27, of no fixed address, was arrested in early 2017 but denied all the offences.

He stood trial at Peterborough Crown Court from 11 December, where he was found guilty of rape and two charges of sexual assault.

Kedienhon has been jailed for a total of 15 years.

He was also made the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) for a period of 15 years and put on the Sex Offenders Register for life.

Juned Ahmed, 18, and Ashraf Hussan, 20, stabbed Peter Anderson, 46, multiple times at just after 4pm on July 25 last year.

The court heard Mr Anderson, also known as Blue, had gone to the railway bridge on Stourbridge Common to buy drugs he had ordered on the phone from the ‘RJ’ drugs line.

It is not known whether the attack was a result of mistaken identity in relation to a robbery on Ahmed the day before, or “simply because they didn’t like the way he looked”, but Mr Anderson was left seriously injured.

Passers-by stopped to help and then paramedics and he was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, in a critical condition. However, he died shortly after arrival from a stab wound to the heart.

Ahmed, of Kings Road, Newham, London, and Hussan, of Eversleigh Road, Newham, London, pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of heroin and cocaine on the day of the murder, and Ahmed admitted being in possession of a knife.

But both claimed they were not at the railway bridge and were not involved in the killing, however, today both were found guilty of murder.

The jury also found Hussan guilty of being in possession of a bladed article – a knife.

Eugene Terentjev draw the fury of students and mental health activists after sending out an email last week to first-year natural sciences undergraduates at Cambridge, telling them the course will be difficult and thus they should refrain from drinking and other social activities if they wish to succeed, according to an email leaked to student-run publication Varsity.

“Mental health activists” are a very important and noble profession in the modern world. They’re responsible for… I don’t really know what, but they’re activists, so they’re important.

“Physical sciences is a VERY hard subject, which will require ALL of your attention and your FULL brain capacity (and for a large fraction of you, even that will not be quite enough),” Terentjev wrote to the students.

“You can ONLY do well (ie achieve your potential, which rightly or wrongly several people here assumed you have) if you are completely focused, and learn to enjoy the course. People who just TAKE the course, but enjoy their social life, can easily survive in many subjects — but not in this one.”

He added: “Remember that you are NOT at any other uni, where students do drink a lot and do have what they regard as a ‘good time’ — and you are NOT on a course, as some Cambridge courses sadly are, where such a behaviour pattern is possible or acceptable.”

This must’ve been particularly traumatic for students of sociology, liberal arts and other fluff for retards.

 The professor’s comments caused an uproar among activists and students, who called his email “extremely damaging” and neither “appropriate nor acceptable”, with one other university vice-chancellor accusing Terentjev of “frightening impressionable undergraduates”, the London Times reported.

 A mental health campaign at the university, Student Minds Cambridge, said the message sent by the professor “could be extremely damaging to the mental well-being of the students concerned, and potentially others as well,” the Times reported.

Anthony Seldon, vice-chancellor of Buckingham University, said the professor message scaremongers the students rather than helping them to learn to live a balanced lifestyle. “Frightening impressionable undergraduates into believing that work alone is all-important is irresponsible, unkind and wrong-headed,” he told the newspaper.

The university’s student union welfare officer, Micha Frazer-Carroll, also criticized the content of the email, claiming it criticized “the very premise of having a social life, or any sort of life, outside of study.”

 A workshop at Harvard University on Tuesday night delved into the ins and outs of anal sex, with a presenter denouncing the “stupidity of abstinence” and the joys of “putting things in your butt,” according to a College Fix reporter who attended the event.

 The workshop was held as part of the Ivy League university’s Sex Week, which launched Monday and runs through Nov. 12. Titled “What What in the Butt: Anal 101,” the event drew nearly 50 students.
