British Royal Navy personnel have been accused of drug use and abusive behavior on board the nuclear submarine HMS Vanguard. The claims, published on Tuesday by the Daily Mail, stem from accounts provided by a whistleblower, who detailed incidents involving crew members.

The former member of the submarine’s crew alleged that some sailors engaged in “gang bangs” while on duty, and that “the lunatics are in charge at the asylum.”

“We had a rape list on my submarine. There was a 19-year-old kid [on it]. When he realised he was on it, he was s***ing his pants. Everyone wanted to rape him. He was petrified,” the whistleblower told the paper.

The HMS Vanguard, which carries Trident ballistic missiles, is one of the UK’s four Vanguard-class submarines. Any lapse in protocol on board such a vessel is considered a matter of significant national security.

I do think anyone should be skeptical of “anonymous whistleblower in the Daily Mail.”

But come on.

That sure sounds true.

This has always been big in the Royal Navy.

Well, this works out for everyone, because it’s impossible for a black person to be “British.”

A majority of black Britons do not feel “proud to be British”, a damning new poll has revealed.

Less than half of respondents, 49 per cent, indicated they were definitely or somewhat proud to be British.

While 45 per cent said they were not really or not proud at all, a further six per cent were not sure or would not answer.

The survey, conducted by the Black British Voice Project, involved more than 10,000 people between November 2021 and March 2022.

It covered topics such as Britishness, work and education.

Authors of the study, whose researchers were from The Voice, Cambridge University and I-Cubed, said in a report: “Interviewees who expressed pride in being British often gave examples of activities or institutions that have enabled them to successfully participate in British society – eg being ‘a Londoner’, homeownership, working for the NHS etc.

“Whereas respondents who said they were not proud to be British cited negative factors such as colonialism and historically racist immigration policies as reasons contributing to their responses.”

A staggering 98 per cent of respondents also revealed they at least sometimes “compromise who they are and how they express themselves to fit in at work”.

This included altering hairstyles, speech patterns or being expected to join in social events.

Lester Holloway, editor of The Voice, said: “This study should be a wake-up call for Britain.

“We have many fourth-generation black Brits and, as a community, we should be feeling part of this country.

“Yet the lived experience of racism in every area of life is leading many to not feel British.

“We cannot keep ignoring racial disparities and its impact.

“There needs to be a national conversation about this, and we need race back on the political agenda, so we can tackle the causes of this disconnect between black Brits and the only country they know.”

An overwhelming majority of respondents also believed racial discrimination was either definitely or somewhat the biggest barrier to young black people’s academic attainment.

Among young black Britons, aged under 25, respondents were split on whether the UK was their permanent home.

Almost half, 45 per cent, regarded the UK as their permanent home but 39 per cent expressed a desire to live elsewhere.

That’s a great idea.

Hundreds of people lined up Saturday in the English city of Bristol to get the latest work by elusive street artist Banksy — a T-shirt created to help four defendants charged over the toppling of a local statue of a slave trader.

The gray shirt features the word Bristol above the empty plinth on which the statue of 17th-century slave merchant Edward Colston long stood, with a rope hanging from it and debris scattered around.

Anti-racism demonstrators pulled down the statue and and dumped it in Bristol harbor in June 2020 amid global protests sparked by the police killing of a Black American man, George Floyd.

Four people have been charged with criminal damage over the statue’s felling and are going on trial next week.

“I’ve made some souvenir shirts to mark the occasion,” Banksy said on social media Friday. “Available from various outlets in the city from tomorrow. All proceeds to the defendants so they can go for a pint.”

Banksy said the T-shirts cost 25 pounds ($33) and are limited to one per customer.

Banksy’s identity has never been confirmed, but he began his career spray-painting walls and bridges in Bristol, a port city in southwest England. Some of his works have sold for millions of dollars at auction.

Hundreds of thousands of native British nursing candidates have been rejected over the past decade, while the government made it easier to bring in cheaper nurses from abroad, a report from Migration Watch UK has claimed.

The report, which was seen by Breitbart London, said that even during the Chinese coronavirus pandemic last year, over 23,000 British applications for nursing courses were rejected, despite the government offering 1,200 fast-tracked Health and Care Worker visas to foreigners during the same time.

Since 2010, over half of the nearly 650,000 UK-based nursing course applications were rejected, with 348,000 applicants in Britain being turned away, Migration Watch UK reported.

In recent years, the British government has sought to recruit tens of thousands of foreign nurses under the premise of a “shortage” of NHS staff. In 2016, for example, nurses were placed on the shortage occupation list — making it easier to hire from abroad — despite 36,200 Britain-based applications being rejected during the same year.

At the time, Migration Advisory Committee chairman Sir David Metcalfe said: “There is no good reason why the supply of nurses cannot be sourced domestically.”

In 2018, the study found 21,000 nursing applications were rejected, even as over 5,100 visas were granted to foreign nurses that year.

Since 2012/13, the percentage of non-British nationals joining the NHS has jumped from 16 per cent to 29 per cent.

The think tank suggested that the NHS’s desire to hire foreign healthcare workers could be to save costs, as migrant nurses on work permits earn around a fifth less than British nurses.

Commenting on the findings, Migration Watch chairman Alp Mehmet said: “It is utterly unacceptable that so many UK-based nursing candidates have been rejected while the NHS has been encouraged from the top to recruit many thousands of nurses from overseas, partly to save costs.

“Ministers’ fine words about investing in young British talent are looking ever-more hollow.”

The think tank said that the government added “insult to injury” by recently announcing the expansion of poor countries from which the NHS can “actively recruit” healthcare workers during a time of high unemployment in the United Kingdom.

Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II will receive the Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine within weeks, after UK regulators granted emergency approval and the world’s first roll-out begins next week, reports late Saturday (Dec 5) said.

The monarch, 94, and her 99-year-old husband Prince Philip are in line to get the jab early due to their age and will not receive preferential treatment, the Mail on Sunday reported.

The newspaper said Britain’s most senior royals would reveal they have been given the inoculation “to encourage more people to take up the vital jab”, amid fears so-called anti-vaxxers could dent enthusiasm for it.

A UK charity arts chief has suggested British museums are hypocrites for showing solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement, while the colonial artefacts they display are similar to that of Nazi-looted works.

Dr. Errol Francis, CEO and artistic director of arts charity ‘Culture&’, who has called for British museums and galleries to support the decolonization of their collections and reword racially sensitive artwork titles, has hit out at their recent public statements in support of BLM.

Francis accused the UK cultural institutions of hypocrisy for appearing to show support for oppressed black people on the one hand, while on the other still possessing items taken by force from African nations, such as the Benin Bronzes that were looted by the British in the late 19th century.

The arts charity boss also believes that colonial art held in museums and art galleries in the UK should be seen in the same way as artefacts seized by the Nazis illegally, telling the Guardian that they “should be returned.”

“The museums themselves have this relationship with colonial violence. So when they made these statements about supporting Black Lives Matter, I think it actually drew attention to their own complicity in similar acts.”

The British Museum’s director, Hartwig Fischer, wrote a blog post last month saying that the museum stands in solidarity with “the British Black community, with the African American community, with the Black community throughout the world.”

Why would a museum go out and explicitly say “we support black people rioting in Britain because George Floyd can’t breathe” in the first place?

It makes no sense.

I guess everyone was going all in on this, but you’d think if anyone could just hang back, it would be the museum.

Rapper Krept has said he is “good” and will be “back in no time” after he was assaulted backstage at a BBC Radio 1Xtra live event in Birmingham.

The sold-out Saturday night show at the Arena Birmingham finished early after the incident around 22:00 BST.

The rapper, one half of duo Krept and Konan, suffered a slash wound. He tweeted on Sunday: “Can’t keep a good man down.”

Police said medical help was given on site and he did not go to hospital.

Krept, whose real name is Casyo Johnson, was not set to perform in the show. No arrests have been made.
