“She is just acting stupid!” a caregiver at a Randburg crèche for disabled children snarls, as she hits a young girl in the face with a backpack.

A nurse employed by the crèche in Jukskei Park, north of Johannesburg, and owned by a medical doctor, said she filmed the abuse by the caregiver because she could no longer watch the children being hurt.

A pervert has been jailed after a USB stick loaded with child porn images dropped from his bum as police carried out a body search at a north London police station.

Eliott Diffley, 24, claimed he stole the data device from an internet café in Islington but detectives discovered he had been looking for child porn when they checked his online search history.

Officers originally approached him in October last year after they suspected he was smoking cannabis on Pankhurst Road, Islington.

Despite searching him, they failed to find any drugs. But he was arrested for handling stolen goods after he was found with a mobile phone that had been reported as lost.

The USB stick, which they later discovered had not been reported as stolen, was found after they took him to a police station for questioning.

His home was searched and a large quantity of items were seized, Scotland Yard said.

Diffley, of Leighton Road, Kentish Town, pleaded guilty to 18 counts of possessing indecent images of children at Blackfriars Crown Court today.

He was jailed for 12 months and put on the sex offenders register.

The number of British children groomed and trafficked for sexual abuse by gangs has soared by 155 per cent, figures show.

In 2013, police identified 450 potential child victims who were either smuggled into the country or moved around by crime gangs, National Crime Agency data shows.

Of those, 56 were British children suspected of being trafficked for sexual exploitation – more than double the number in 2012.

The number of foreign children seen as at risk of sexual exploitation rose 11 per cent, to 88.

Another 123 minors were thought to have been brought to the UK for forced labour, often in nail bars and drugs farms, a quarter more than the previous year.

The report found that children from Vietnam were the most commonly targeted, followed by Albania and then the UK.

The number of suspected trafficking cases involving Britons rose by 173 per cent, with 27 adult and 63 child victims.

Forces have also seen a dramatic surge in modern slavery cases, with 141 adults and 45 children identified as potential victims last year.

The new figures, which emerged just hours after a British director called for modern slavery to be eradicated at the Baftas, indicate that domestic servitude cases are up 20 per cent.

A 29 year old immigrant from Eritrea has been convicted of sexually assaulting over a dozen children in Bromley and Kristianstad.

He faces charges of assaulting many more. He claims the assaults are perfectly normal in his culture and that it is racist to prosecute him. The immigrant was allowed to move to Sweden as part of a refugee quota requested by the United Nations. He has been sexually terrorized a community, grabbing male and female children and fondling them. The victims have been as young as six.

Many of the attacks have been in very public areas. He is back in court for the third time in less than six moths to face his third set of charges. During one arrest, he pulled his pants down and asked a female officer to have sex with him. He was first convicted of sexually attacking ten children and only received probation. When he went to court on a second batch of charges, he was sentenced to four months in prison, but has not actually served any time yet.

The communities that the immigrant molester is terrorizing are outraged. Right before Christmas, 200 people held a rally to demand that something be done about the perpetrator.

An alert has been issued for parents after a teen said she was attacked near her school bus stop in Altamonte Springs. That attacker is still on the loose and only Local 6 spoke to the teen’s mother, Missy Isley.

Isley said her 18-year-old daughter was walking back to their apartment after she thought she missed the school bus.

“He came up from behind. She never saw it coming. She was frozen with fear and she’s been that way since. He’s still out there,” says Isley.

Altamonte Springs police said the teen was attacked by an unknown man just feet away from her apartment.

“She came in after it happened screaming and crying, crawling through the door and my blood was cold,” Isley told Local 6. “He came and grabbed her by the neck from behind and she begged for her life, and she said that she felt something in her side, it was sharp.”

Police said the man threatened to kill the teen and then tried to assault her. Isley showed Local 6 a wooded area where she said her daughter’s attacker was trying to take her. But the man let the teen go after a neighbor came outside.

“He has no idea he’s our hero. He came out at 6:30 a.m. and spooked the guy off and that’s what it took to get him to go,” Isley said.

The man was described as about 6 feet tall, in his 20s, with a close-cut beard and a medium to large build. Isley believes the attack was planned well in advance.

“I’m angry he’s still out there,” Isley said. “He’s going to do it again if he’s not caught.”

The victim also said the man was wearing a bright yellow shirt with the large caduceus symbol on the back of it.

Local 6 checked with Altamonte police and they said they’ve increased patrols in the area.

A Johnson City man was bound over to a grand jury Monday on multiple sex charges, including eight counts of raping a child.

Anthony Eugene Newton, 49, 314 W. 8th Ave., was arrested Jan. 17 and charged with eight counts of rape of a child, three counts of aggravated sexual battery and two counts of sexual battery by an authority figure.

Newton had a court appearance in Washington County Sessions Court on Monday, and the charges were sent to the grand jury when it meets again.

A court affidavit filed by Johnson City Police Investigator Debbie Carey-Dunn said the victim, now a teenager, was first abused by Newton when the victim was 10.

The allegations are that Newton first began touching the boy, which brought sexual battery charges, and that led to further sexual contact that would constitute rape.

Newton was reported to police in September after another person witnessed an alleged sexual assault, Dunn’s report said.

Each allegation of battery or rape is a separate count, which means there were at least 11 times Newton touched or raped the child.

Newton remains jailed on $100,000 bond. He has an appearance in Criminal Court on March 17.

A Bond Hill man is behind bars after being accused of raping three young girls.

Ronald Brantley, 37, was arrested and charged with four separate counts of rape and one count of gross sexual imposition after police say he raped a 6, 8, and 13 year old.

When the incidents occurred has not yet been determined, according to court documents.

Brantley was arraigned Saturday and given a $100,000 bond for each count.

His next court appearance has not yet been scheduled.

A San Francisco police officer pleaded not guilty Monday morning in Contra Costa Superior Court to 10 felony counts of child molestation and possession of child pornography.

Officer Richard Hastings, 38, of Concord, is accused of molesting a 15-year-old boy on several different occasions between June and August.

Deputy District Attorney Alison Chandler said Hastings was arrested in August after the boy was caught sneaking out of his own home to meet with the officer.

Defense attorney Eileen Burke said the pair had met on an online dating site and the boy had claimed he was of legal age.

Burke argued for Hastings’ $910,000 bail to be lowered because he “is no more danger than anyone who signs up for an online dating service.”

Chandler, however, said the boy was clearly underage and was stopped by police that night in August on suspicion of a curfew violation.

When police contacted Hastings, he allegedly said, “Don’t worry, I’m a police officer,” Chandler said.

“He was using his police status to get out of the trouble he was about to be in,” she said.

Chandler said prosecutors did not immediately charge him after his Aug. 21 arrest because further investigation was needed, including into the contents of his electronic devices.

She said the FBI reviewed those contents and found child pornography involving an 8-year-old boy.

Chandler said Hastings told investigators that after he was involved in a police shooting a few years ago, he began “doing riskier things.”

“He is reckless, he is cavalier,” she told Judge Bruce Mills.

Burke, the defense attorney, told Mills that her client “has been completely cooperative” and has not had any problems since his August arrest.

The judge decided to reduce Hastings’ bail to $100,000 and ordered him to return to court on March 7 to set a date for a preliminary hearing.

Hastings, a 13-year veteran of the San Francisco Police Department, was suspended without pay after his arrest.

Hastings is named in a federal civil rights lawsuit stemming from the 2011 death of Kenneth Harding, who police say accidentally shot himself during a shootout with Hastings and another officer after police tried to stop Harding for alleged fare evasion in San Francisco’s Bayview District.

At the time of the shooting, Harding was on parole in Washington after serving time for pimping a 14-year-old girl.

A Fall River woman accused in a child sex-trafficking ring erupted in screams during her court appearance Thursday.

Olivia Lara, 38, of Fall River, was charged with three counts of trafficking in persons under the age of 18 for sexual servitude and three counts of deriving support from a minor prostitute. She pleaded not guilty and her bail was set at $100,000 cash.

As she was being escorted from the courtroom she hit her head against a wall and threw herself on the floor. Officers cleared the courtroom when Lara’s relatives also began screaming.

Prosecutors said the investigation begin in December with information from New Bedford police that a Fall River woman was allegedly trafficking girls for sex in the Fall River area.

Authorities said Lara would meet “johns” at a Fall River bar and arrange for them to have sex with the girls in exchange for money.

They said Lara allegedly transported the girls to a number of residences and garages around Fall River and that some of the sexual activity took place in cars.

Prosecutors said a co-defendant, Feliciano Ramirez, was one of the johns who paid to have sex with a girl overseen by Lara.

Ramirez, 30, of Fall River, pleaded not guilty to a charge of rape of child and sex for a fee. His bail was set at $25,000 cash.

Both suspects are due in court Feb. 12 for a probable cause hearing.

Harris County sheriff’s deputies arrested Syrjuan Benson, a 27-year-old registered sex offender, who is now facing an indecency charge after being caught with a 13-year-old girl.

“She met him through a friend at school, he posed as a 16-year-old boy,” said the 13-year-old’s mother, whose identity Local 2 is hiding to protect her daughter.

The mother told Local 2 Benson broke in through a bedroom window. She caught him at 4 a.m. hiding in a closet wearing boxers. “We got into a scuffle inside the house,” said the mom. “I hit him in the face three good times and he fell to the floor.”

She held him there until the police arrived.

“He told the police his name was Chris and that he was 16. Come to find out he was a registered sex offender,” she said.

“Twenty-seven-year-old sleeping with my 13-year-old.”

Court documents indicate Benson was convicted of sexual assault just a few months ago.
