The Texas board of education voted 8-7 on Friday to approve a new Bible-based curriculum in elementary schools.

The curriculum, called “Bluebonnet Learning”, could be implemented as soon as August 2025 and affects English and language arts teaching material for kindergarten through fifth grade public school classes.

Teachers will have a choice to opt into the new faith-based learning curriculum, but the state is offering a financial incentive of $60 a student for participating school districts.

Parents, teachers and rights groups expressed outrage at the move that some say violates the US constitution and will alienate students and teachers of other faiths.

“The Bluebonnet curriculum flagrantly disregards religious freedom, a cornerstone of our nation since its founding. The same politicians censoring what students can read now want to impose state-sponsored religion on to our public schools,” said Caro Achar, engagement coordinator for free speech at the Texas chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union. “We urge districts to reject this optional curriculum and uphold a public school education that honors the religious diversity and constitutional rights of Texas students.”

A spokesperson for the Texas State Teachers Association, which is affiliated with the US’s largest labor union, the National Education Association, told the Guardian: “The implementation of this curriculum means grade-school children in schools that adopt the curriculum will receive what amounts to Christian Sunday school lessons in their public schools, something our public education system was not intended to provide and should not provide.

“Students who observe religions other than Christianity, in effect, will be discriminated against because their own religions will be all but ignored.”

Darcy Hirsh, the director of government relations and advocacy at the National Council of Jewish Women, the US’s oldest Jewish feminist civil rights organization, said in an interview with the Guardian: “As a Jewish organization, maintaining the separation of church and state is a key priority for us as it is the cornerstone of our democracy.”

Hirsh added she was “devastated” about “the Texas school board’s decision today to implement a curriculum that is based in the Bible, and even one specific interpretation of the Bible”.

In Russia, schools are allowed to teach the Bible.

But these people in the government/media will claim that Americans somehow have more freedoms than Russians.

What are the freedoms? Other than gay sex, what are they? Can anyone name them?

The issue here is that John 3:16 is exclusionary or “noninclusive.”

You can’t say homos and Hindus can only have eternal life if they believe in Jesus.

You’re also probably not allowed to say “him,” “he,” or “son” anymore in Norway.

Bishops in Norway believe that a verse from the New Testament “communicates poorly” and have started to exclude it from funeral services. This has attracted strong criticism in Christian circles in Norway, where it is believed that priests have become increasingly restrained in their faith.

John 3:16 is a mandatory Bible verse at funeral services in Norway, but many priests often choose to omit it. For this reason, the Norwegian bishops have asked the National Board for Worship Life (NFG) to consider whether the Bible verse should be an optional part of the services.

This in turn has drawn strong criticism from Christian Norway, with Vebjørn Selbekk, editor of the Christian newspaper Dagen, among others, pointing out that John 3:16 is “the most central passage in the entire Bible”.

The Christian daily Vårt Land has also criticized the bishops’ proposal.

In the Church of Norway, funeral services begin with the Bible verse, while the Church of Sweden has replaced it with a milder formulation:

“Let us hear the words of the Bible about finding security in God in life and death”.

Former bishop Tor Berger Jørgensen believes that Norway should follow Sweden’s example and avoid anything that could be associated with the doctrine of damnation.

The United Methodist Church’s highest court has ruled that congregations seeking to leave the denomination over theological differences cannot do so via a church closure provision.

Recently, many congregations have left the UMC via a Book of Discipline measure known as Paragraph 2549, which is centered on how to officially close down a church property.

The United Methodist Judicial Council released a ruling last Saturday, known as Decision Number 1512, which stated that congregations cannot use Paragraph 2549 to exit the UMC.

According to the decision, the UMC’s Trust Clause, which holds that all church properties are held for the benefit of the whole denomination, cannot be disregarded as it would be by using Paragraph 2549 to disaffiliate.

“Connectionalism is a bedrock principle of United Methodist constitutional polity, and the Trust Clause is its foundational element,” stated the ruling.

For those of you who don’t remember why some churches would want to flee this organization, here’s a quick reminder:

In the UMC, doing what the Bible explicitly bans you from doing is just fine, but some goofy bureaucratic bullshit like “connectionalism” has to be followed to the letter.

“Disaffiliation is a radical departure from connectionalism, and, therefore, church property can be released from the Trust Clause only to the extent authorized by Church law.”

The Judicial Council went on to state that Paragraph 2549 “cannot be construed or used as legislation permitting the ‘gracious exit’ of local churches because it applies to church closure and the sale of property, not disaffiliation.”

“Paragraph 2549 does not give an annual conference disciplinary authority to close a local church and then provide all of the assets to the exiting congregants,” the ruling continued.

“Paragraph 2549 is not an appropriate provision of the Discipline for exiting with property. The provisions of ¶2549 do not align with what is being asked for, which is ‘disaffiliation’ and asking that the trust clause be broken.”

For decades, the UMC debated whether to change its rules to allow the blessing of same-sex unions, the ordination of noncelibate homosexuals, and the funding of LGBT advocacy groups, eventually doing so at General Conference earlier this year.

At a special session of the General Conference held in February 2019, delegates voted to add Paragraph 2553 to the Book of Discipline. The measure, which expired at the end of 2023, created a process for congregations to leave the UMC over the sexual ethics debate.

Approximately 7,500 congregations disaffiliated from the denomination during that time, with thousands joining the recently launched theologically conservative Global Methodist Church.

It’s sad.

Oklahoma’s state superintendent has announced that all schools are required to teach the Bible and the Ten Commandments, a dramatic move that reignites the conversation about the separation of church and state.

In a state board of education meeting on Thursday, state superintendent of public instruction Ryan Walters announced a new memo “that every school district will adhere to, which is that every teacher, every classroom in the state will have a Bible in the classroom and will be teaching from the Bible in the classroom to ensure that this historical understanding is there for every student in the state of Oklahoma in accordance with our academic standards and state law”.

Walters called the Bible “one of the most foundational documents used for the constitution and the birth of our country”.

He added: “The Bible is a necessary historical document to teach our kids about the history of this country, to have a complete understanding of western civilization, to have an understanding of the basis of our legal system.”

Walters is also behind the recent push to create a new religious charter school which, like public schools, are funded by taxpayer dollars. But in a 6-2 decision, the Oklahoma supreme court ruled that the contract between the Oklahoma statewide virtual charter school board and the religious charter school was unconstitutional.’

Yeah, if you’re gonna do this, you have to be ready to go all the way.

Doing it and then the feds telling you you can’t and then saying “oh look, this is unfair” – that shit is not cutting it anymore.

A Barbadian theatrical dance group is taking legal action after being “excluded in the name of inclusivity” following their “unconstitutional” disqualification from a national competition due to their Christian beliefs on gender.

Praise Academy of Dance Barbados was banned from performing at the National Independence Festival of Creative Arts (NIFCA) in October for allegedly breaching the rules by exceeding “the bounds of good taste,” and making “defamatory claims,” the St. Vincent Times reported.

The infraction was found due to the group’s “Speak of Life” performance produced for the event, in which they “presented a Christian viewpoint of gender identity and sexual orientation and declared the Christian worldview that there are only two genders.”

A recording of the full performance includes a depiction of a teen girl who struggles with her gender identity in school, with a dialogue sharing biological and biblical explanations for the two sexes.

At one point, the performers announce, “It’s not a choice, you don’t get to pick. That’s the science, period!”

Banners with verses from the biblical book of Genesis hung on the stage, stating: “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.”

Despite the dance troupe sharing their Christian faith for the last 20 years without disqualification, they say that Senator Gregory Nicholls, arbiter of the National Cultural Foundation (NCF), “unconstitutionally” canceled them without referring the matter to the Barbados Supreme Court.

“The case is believed to be the first time that a group has been canceled for the expression of traditional Christian beliefs in Barbados and brings into question whether the LGBTQ agenda is being brought in by the back door,” the Carribean outlet reported.

Praise Academy has raised an official complaint, arguing that the decision of the NCF and NIFCA judging panel was illegal and unconstitutional.

Attorney Davida Maynard-Holligan, who is representing the academy, said the group had been “excluded in the name of inclusivity,” and that the ruling from Senator Nicholls sent “a chilling message to Christians on the island, especially young students, who do not believe in and refuse to conform to confusing and harmful gender identity ideology and extreme teaching.”

“The message is that you can no longer disagree with or criticize LGBTQ ideology without being canceled, marginalized and excluded,” she said, adding that the ruling “amounts to an LGBTQ takeover of our legal rights and freedoms in Barbados and cannot go unchallenged.”

A court of appeal dismissed all charges of “hate speech” and “ethnic agitation” against Finnish lawmaker Päivi Räsänen on Tuesday in what has been hailed as a victory for free speech.

The Finnish member of Parliament had been charged in 2021 after publicly sharing in 2019 her biblical, religious views on marriage as between one man and one woman.

Though Räsänen, 63, was unanimously acquitted by a Finnish District Court in 2022, prosecutors appealed her acquittal to the Helsinki Court of Appeal. The former minister of the interior faced the possibility of tens of thousands of euros in fines and two years in prison.

Two years in prison for quoting the Bible. In Finland, a country that isn’t really even very politically correct (just innocent and generally confused and bedazzled by modernity).

This is the extreme nature of our plight.

On Nov. 14, the Helsinki Court of Appeal unanimously ruled to uphold the 2022 acquittal, finding that it had “no reason, on the basis of the evidence received at the main hearing, to assess the case in any respect differently from the district court. There is therefore no reason to alter the final result of the district court’s judgment.”

The charges against a Finnish Lutheran bishop named Juhana Pohjola were also dismissed by the court of appeal on Nov. 14. Pohjola had also been tried for hate speech for publishing a pamphlet written by Räsänen in 2004 that advocated for the biblical understanding of sexuality and marriage.

“I am deeply relieved,” Räsänen said Nov. 14 via a statement from her legal representatives, the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) International. “The court has fully endorsed and upheld the decision of the district court, which recognized everyone’s right to free speech.”

In the 2019 tweet that landed Räsänen in legal troubles, she criticized her denomination for embracing LGBTQ+ ideology, asking how these views could be reconciled with Scripture. In the tweet, she referenced Romans 1:24-27, which clearly states that homosexual activity is against God’s will.

Really, this shouldn’t even be considered a win, and the fact that this is considered a win should be considered a big loss.

If you’re having a discussion about sending people to prison for being Christians, you’ve already lost.

A win for Christians would be something like, say, removing women’s right to vote, or abolishing the age of consent. When you’re losing very badly, “losing a tiny bit less” is not a win. If a sports team is down by 40 points, they don’t say “we’re winning” after scoring one point.

On Saturday, a man was arrested while protesting a Pride event outside City Hall in Reading, Pennsylvania. Police detained Damon Atkins, a self-proclaimed born-again Christian, less than a minute after he arrived on the scene.

At the time of his arrest, Atkins was standing across the street from the event and holding up a sign that read “Jesus said I am the truth, the way, the life” on one side, and “Jesus said go and sin no more” on the other.

The entire incident was caught on camera by Matthew Wear, a local resident, and fellow Christian who had been preaching at the protest.

As soon as Atkins arrived on the scene, Officer Bradley McClure approached and appeared to warn him.

“This is public property,” Atkins said, standing his ground.

“Let them have their day,” McClure replied, referring to the dozens of people celebrating Pride. He then asked Atkins to show some “respect.”

“Oh I’m respecting,” Atkins said, pointing to his sign. “You know who’s cheering for us? The people that are in hell. So you do you, and I’m gonna do me.”

At that point, McClure walked away before promptly turning around and coming back after Atkins began preaching.

According to an affidavit obtained by the Lancaster Patriot, McClure said he warned Atkins about what sort of behavior was and wasn’t allowed, and sought to have him arraigned for “disorderly conduct.”

“I immediately approached him,” McClure wrote, “and told him that while he was free to stand on that side of the street and hold his sign, he could not cross the street nor yell comments intended to disrupt the event.”

The crowd cheered as they watched Atkins get handcuffed and hauled away from the event.

This is pretty significant, frankly.

I’m not aware of anyone in America ever getting arrested for “hate speech” for reading the Bible in public.

I don’t think the charges will actually be “hate speech,” because that is so obviously unconstitutional, but there will be some kind of charges.

This is something that has happened in the UK for a long time, and it is the path to actually outlawing the Bible, which is something the Jews literally want to do.

You can think “oh, well, that’s too much” – if you’re thinking that, I would refer you to the coronavirus hoax, so you can simply remember that nothing is “too much.”

A school district in Utah that last week banned the Bible from school libraries is now being asked to consider a further title for removal: the Book of Mormon.

The Davis school district, which serves Davis county, north of Salt Lake City, said it was considering a new complaint demanding the removal of the foundational text of the Utah-based Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The latest potential removal comes just a week after the Bible was taken off the shelves of libraries in elementary and middle schools after being deemed by a committee to be inappropriate because it contained “vulgarity or violence”. The Bible will remain in high school libraries.

The school district said it would assess the Book of Mormon for “all elements of the definitions of pornographic or indecent materials” as defined under a Utah law concerning sensitive materials.

The request to remove the book referenced violence including battles, beheadings and kidnappings.

A national furore has arisen over the removal of books from public schools in several states, often driven by conservatives targeting material that contains references to gender identity or sexuality.

The debate in Utah has centered upon a law passed last year that allows parents to request the removal of books containing pornographic or indecent material.

One parent in the Davis school district decided to demand the removal of the Bible, claiming it to be “one of the most sex-ridden books around”.

The district decided that while the Bible did not violate the Utah law, it was not suitable for younger students.

There are sex scenes in the Bible. That’s not been a problem since the advent of the printing press, shortly after which the Bible became available to children across the entire Western world.

Is it more “sex-ridden” than this?

That is used in the curriculum for elementary school kids in several American schools.

The book is presented as a historically authentic depiction of God’s dealings with people in the Americas, although this is disputed by historians and scientists.

The book of Mormon doesn’t have sex scenes like the Bible does.

So, they will just use some other excuse.

Imagine that “conservatives” like Ted Cruz are still claiming that these people are just “misguided” because of their “ideology.”

A prestigious New Jersey boarding school has admitted it didn’t do enough to protect a student who took his own life on campus after vicious and unsubstantiated rumors spread he was a rapist.

Jack Reid, 17, attended The Lawrenceville School in Mercer County, five miles south of Princeton University, where tuition costs a staggering $76,000 a school year.

On April 30, 2022, Reid took his own life after being subjected to relentless bullying over cruel rumors labeling him a rapist.

“The school acknowledges that bullying and unkind behavior, and actions taken or not taken by the school, likely contributed to Jack’s death,” Lawrenceville officials wrote in a statement posted on the school’s website on Sunday.

The statement was part of an agreed-upon settlement between the notable boarding school and Reid’s parents, Elizabeth and Bill Reid.

“The only thing I’d love to change here is to get Jack back,” Reid’s father told the New York Times.

Reid arrived at the boarding school in the fall of 2020 as a sophomore, befriending classmates, and winding up honored on the Dean’s list, his parents said.

But the following spring semester, a rumor that he was a rapist began spreading like wildfire through the student body.

Despite the rumor, Reid returned to the school in September of 2021 and was elected president of the residential housing where he lived.

Bill Reid recalled his son asked him if these false accusations would “ever go away.”

A classmate previously disciplined for bullying Reid and determined to be involved in spreading the rumors about him was eventually expelled for an unrelated incident, the school revealed.

The unnamed student was left unsupervised as he packed his things — and during a gathering with peers, he falsely told them Reid was to blame for his being kicked out of school.

The same night, Reid put a bible in his gym shorts pocket and left a note directing his parents to a Google doc that detailed his helplessness.

“He had to escape the pain from the humiliation he was feeling,” Reid’s father said.

Reid’s mother said her son had been seeing a therapist before taking his own life, but never discussed suicidal ideations.

Before his death, Reid had approached school officials to intervene in these false rumors, which prompted the school to investigate the bullying and sexual assault, his parents revealed.

The school found no evidence supporting the rumors and allegations about Reid being a rapist — a fact that the boarding school did not acknowledge in public or in private, according to the outlet. 

Though the facility was aware of the ongoing bullying, the elite boarding school has only now admitted failure — one year to the day of Reid’s death.

“There were steps that the School should in hindsight have taken but did not,” the school wrote in their statement.

Neither Reid nor his parents were informed that the school had cleared the teen of the claims before his death.

“We feel like we both have life sentences without the possibility of parole,” Elizabeth Reid told the New York Times. 

This society does not care about boys.

Nothing will be done about this.

Schools will not implement some system through which they can defend themselves from false allegations of what this society considers to be the most heinous crime.

If you see people who are “happy,” it’s not that they’ve figured something out, it’s that they’re stupid and probably on Prozac and Xanax.

King Solomon, whom God gave wisdom, experienced everything in the world there was to experience, including all of the sex and weird shit like pagan rituals, and at the end his conclusion that all that is good in life is to take joy in the blessings of the Lord, to take pride in your work, and to eat, drink, and be merry.

This is one of those “most important verses in the Bible” Bible verses, in this writer’s opinion. (It’s up there with Jesus’ promise of the Holy Spirit, mentioned here last week.)

You have to find work you can take pride in, firstly. That should not be impossible.

“Eat, drink, and be merry” in this context is the little thing of eating and drinking (alcohol, frankly), but also just doing things you enjoy. The gym, video games, nature hikes, etc.

Life is not “happy.” It won’t ever be “happy.” If you are seeking “happiness,” you’re chasing a gay unicorn across an infinite field of broken glass.

The sooner accept that the majority of your life is going to be boring or miserable, the sooner you will be able to truly appreciate the things that bring joy and let you break out of that natural state of dull suffering.

According to Vitiuk, the SBU tells the FBI that a certain person or account is “probably Russia’s influence” in order to get them censored. He described the FBI as his agency’s “top partner” and US cyber support as a “psychological game changer” for Ukraine.

“Everything that is against our country, consider it a fake, even if it’s not,” Vitiuk told Fang when asked how the SBU determines what might be disinformation. “Right now, for our victory, it is important to have that kind of understanding, not to be fooled.”

I actually like the statement about assuming everything against their country is fake, even if it’s not.

These people are doing child trans. I think we are beyond any rules of engagement.

There is also an argument that the Angel of God ordered that any action ZOG takes is justifiable against God.

If double what ZOG has done to the people is justified, then that would include every action.

But of course, I’m not a Biblical scholar. I am not able to interpret the meaning of the Book of Revelations. That seems very clear, but I don’t know. I do know that God directly ordered David and his men to do some things that in another life, I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing, but again, that is not my place to interpret that.

I will say that I recently watched the most recent segment of the big PBS Frontline Afghanistan documentary (part 3, you can find the other parts on YouTube or wherever), and was very interested in the discussion of suicide bombers.

The videos of young men, teenagers and 20-somethings, strapping themselves with bombs were certainly very emotional. I care a lot about young men, and I felt that hard.

But as hard as I felt that, the explanation of the Taliban was much more moving: “what were we to do?”

I’m not going to make an argument justifying suicide bombings, of course. Certainly, I would not make such an argument publicly, on my website. I will say, that for me personally, the moving emotional videos of the boys were outweighed by the simple logic of “what were we to do?”

The same logic goes for Taliban car bombs that could potential kill women and children.

Their country was invaded by the most evil people who have ever existed on the earth, who were intent on dominating, turning them into the same kind of cesspit of evil that America has become, and they said “everything is on the table.”

Of course, they have a different God, or at least a totally different method of understanding God, so these sorts of rules can’t be applied to Christianity, which has typically had a very different view of warfare.

But here is something we know: the Taliban won.

These cavemen beat the most powerful army that has ever existed, they regained control of their entire country.

The image of the Taliban sitting in the presidential palace is, for me, the single most inspirational photograph that exists.

I don’t believe in Islam, but I also could never believe that God will not honor those boys who blew themselves up in pursuit of this holy victory over the armies of Satan.

I want to make an edit of the PBS footage with Blink 182’s “Feeling This.”

Just to be perfectly clear, I am speaking metaphorically about the Taliban’s war. I have outlined in detail why I am against violence in the West in pursuit of an overthrow of the ZOG regime (primarily, it is clearly impossible to achieve victory through these means, and the isolated acts simply give much more power to the regime – if that wasn’t the case, the regime would not be encouraging and staging these events, as we’ve caught them doing continuously).

My statements here are philosophical in nature, with relation to the current state of the information war – in particular, with the fact that I support spreading any information that undermines ZOG, whether it is true or not.

Again, I can’t do that here, and wouldn’t.

But as a general matter, this right-wing policy of only spreading truthful information has had limited results, because the peasants simply do not care about truth, given that they have no ability to distinguish truth from fiction, and are purely driven by childlike emotionalism.

But look – I’m just talking out of my ass. Given the level of censorship on social media, I can’t picture what a mass anti-ZOG disinformation campaign would even look like. Furthermore, I guess that’s sort of what QAnon was, and the results of that were extremely mixed.
