Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman has resigned his post, angry at the Jewish government’s agreement to halt military operations inside of Gaza. There could be a variety of political consequences stemming from this.

The Israelis are looking even weaker on the world stage. Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman has resigned after the Jewish government accepted a Gaza ceasefire deal with the Palestinians. His resignation could spark his party leaving the coalition government and potentially lead to a new election.

BBC:

Israel’s defence minister has resigned over the cabinet’s decision to accept a ceasefire ending two days of fighting with Palestinian militants in Gaza.

Avigdor Lieberman denounced the move as “surrendering to terror”.

He also said his Yisrael Beiteinu party would leave the governing coalition, which could lead to an early election.

Eight people were killed on Monday and Tuesday as militants fired 460 rockets towards Israel and Israeli forces bombed 160 targets in Gaza.

The ceasefire was largely holding on Wednesday and schools and businesses in southern Israel reopened after no rocket attacks were reported overnight.

Tensions between the Jews and Palestinians were actually starting to settle down a bit but were agitated by the Jews following a botched special forces operation inside of Gaza. This led to a series of rocket attacks by the Palestinians and retaliatory air strikes by the Jews.

The fact that the Jews agreed to a ceasefire so quickly after such a provocative act is yet another sign of their geopolitical weakness.

Ever since the Russians announced that they were deploying their S-300 anti-aircraft defense system inside of Syria, the Jews have halted conducting military campaigns inside the country. All we’ve seen from them is talk. There’s been no action.

The Syrian military has said that the S-300 system has greatly minimized the Israeli’s ability to hit targets in Syria.

Between their inability to freely operate inside of Syria and this latest embarrassment, we could finally see some domestic consequences for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He’s already been mired in a domestic corruption scandal and with Lieberman resigning, a new election could potentially see the Jews electing a more left-leaning government.

Of course, we don’t know exactly what’s going to happen moving forward. There’s still the possibility that Netanyahu could avoid a new election getting called. But the one thing that’s certain is that Israel is having some real problems. They don’t seem to have any real coherent geopolitical strategy and have put themselves in an increasingly tighter box with their stupid military misadventures.

Israeli “Defense” Minister Announces Plan to Attack Lebanon, Hezbollah and Gaza https://www.anglinarchive.com/2017/10/11/israeli-defense-minister-announces-plan-to-attack-lebanon-hezbollah-and-gaza/ Wed, 11 Oct 2017 00:00:00 +0000 Eric Striker

Israeli “Defense” Minister Avigdor Lieberman has made an announcement indirectly threatening the nation of Lebanon, Hezbollah and the Gaza Strip with war. He wants to “defend” Israel from inside another country’s borders!

Just for some context, the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) are recognized as a legitimate and independent entity by the US government. Lieberman (lie is even in his name) is accusing them of “conspiring” with Hezbollah with no evidence so that nobody complains when he starts bombing them for no reason.

If the Palestinians, Lebanese, Hezbollah and Syria respond to Israeli aggression in a united front, it will be the end of Israel as we know it.

Lieberman knows this, which means he must be counting on roping the US into whatever scheme he’s cooking up.

Middle East Monitor:

Israel’s Defence Minister has said that the next war waged on Israel’s northern front will not only be against Hezbollah in Lebanon, but also Syria, and hostilities will also include the Gaza Strip. Avigdor Lieberman made his comments in a speech to army officers at the Defence Ministry in Tel Aviv on Monday on the eve of the Yom Kippur holiday.

“The next war in the north will not only be the Lebanese front, but rather a united front made up of Syria and Lebanon,” Lieberman explained. “The Lebanese army has lost its independence and has become an integral part of Hezbollah.” He added that Israel will not have a war on a single front. “The next war will be fought on both fronts [north and south].” This, obviously, implies that Gaza will again be a target for an Israeli military offensive.

“We are trying our best to prevent the next war,” claimed the extreme right-wing minister, “but in this ‘new’ Middle East, it is no longer predicted that war is unlikely, like in the past.” Such predictions, he suggested, do not reflect the sensitive reality in the region; war may occur from one moment to the next, or overnight.

There are already signs that Israel is priming its neighbors for invasion. For example, the Jews and bought off bugmen at the Pentagon are offering $12 million of our taxpayer dollars for someone to sell out or kill two top Hezbollah commanders.

Trump’s White House on October 10th announced a plan to “strengthen” funding and support for “Lebanese institutions” against Hezbollah. In other words, the CIA and US government are busy bribing corrupt elements within the Lebanese military to throw the fight when an Israeli invasion happens.

But even with all the covert and overt stuff going on, Israel still can’t win a war against Hezbollah, much less a multi-front war against the Lebanese army, Syria, and Hamas!

Which brings us back to the original danger: dragging the US military to fight the war for them. Even then it is unwinnable. Russia and Iran will certainly get involved, the US will be routed and Israel will be reduced to a crater.

That’s when it gets dangerous. Israel and its representatives have vowed that if they ever get overrun in a war, they will simply start launching their nukes at random European cities so they can take us down with them. These are sick animals that need to be stopped.

There are still men in the world who are ready to fight back.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu talks to the foreign press during the annual press conference for the New Year on January 16, 2014 in Jerusalem
Netanyahu described as “bogus” the claim that settlements are an obstacle to a peace agreement.

Israel’s foreign minister has summoned EU ambassadors over what he called their “one-sided stance” against the Jewish state, which he says undermines regional peace efforts. The move comes as Israeli envoys in the EU were called in over settlements.

Israeli FM Avigdor Lieberman called in the ambassadors of the UK, France, Italy and Spain and“stress[ed] to them that their perpetual one-sided stance against Israel and in favor of the Palestinians is unacceptable and creates the impression they are only seeking ways to blame Israel,” AFP cites his spokesman as saying in a statement.
“Beyond being biased, unbalanced and ignoring the reality on the ground, the positions held by these states significantly harm the possibility of reaching some sort of agreement between the sides,” Friday’s statement read.
On Thursday, Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu accused the EU of “hypocrisy” for condemning Israeli settlement construction, but not Palestinian incitement to terrorism.

“I think it’s time to stop the hypocrisy and inject some fairness in the discussion,”
the Jerusalem Post reported Netanyahu as telling an annual reception of foreign journalists in Jerusalem.
He also said that the EU bias did not foster peace, but in fact undermined it because “it tells the Palestinians that they can engage in incitement and terror and not be held accountable.”

Last week, Israel issued tenders for 1,400 new homes in areas in the West Bank and East Jerusalem claimed by Palestinians for the creation of an independent state.
