A teacher has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a 15-year-old boy she met at the Arkansas church once frequented by former President Bill Clinton — bombarding the teen with nude photos even after an earlier investigation, according to a report.

Reagan Gray, 26, was nabbed earlier this month after it emerged she had allegedly been assaulting the boy since 2020 when she was working as a volunteer at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock, THV11 reported of the institution Clinton praised as being pivotal in preparing him for the White House.

The boy’s parents discovered a slew of text messages on their son’s phone at the time and reported Gray to a senior pastor at the church, according to court papers.

Gray, who also worked as a teacher at Little Rock Christian Academy, was briefly removed from her volunteer position while undergoing counseling after allegedly telling church leaders the relationship wasn’t “physical.”

Then authorities got involved this February when it emerged that Gray had still been exchanging messages with the teen via Snapchat, the court documents charge.

During interviews with federal agents, the boy allegedly said Gray had given him oral sex but they didn’t have intercourse so he could “stay pure,” according to the docs.

Haha.

The alleged abuse, which occurred nearly a dozen times, took place in Gray’s car or apartment, the victim alleged.

In a subsequent interview with the FBI, a church leader admitted Gray had confessed last year during a counseling session that the relationship was sexual.

How is it that the FBI is now involved in these cases?

Is this maybe getting a bit too extreme?

Based on all the evidence we have about this phenomenon of older women having sex with teen boys, this was always happening, and it is simply that they are now getting caught more often because of the cellphones.

It seems like this should be a much more private matter.

The parents in this case only reported it to church authorities.

It’s not clear how the FBI got involved, but come on. That is insane.

An Arkansas teacher once surprised on national TV by adoring students has pleaded guilty to having sex with a high school boy up to 30 times.

Married mom Heather Hare, 33, first made headlines in 2020 when she was surprised on ”Good Morning America” by students bidding her goodbye as her home economics class was discontinued for distance learning during the pandemic.

She now potentially faces life behind bars after pleading guilty Monday to transporting a minor across state lines for unlawful sexual activity, prosecutors said.

The once-beloved teacher was arrested last April when a 17-year-old student came forward to report her repeated abuse, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette also reported.

The boy — identified only as “J.R.” — told police that he met Hare on the first day of his senior year at Bryant High School in the fall of 2021, Assistant US Attorney John Ray White told the court hearing.

“Hare began one-on-one counseling sessions with the minor victim, eventually giving him her personal phone number and primarily communicating with him through Instagram and Snapchat,” the prosecutor’s office said.

“At one point, Ms. Hare told J.R. that she had a dream of them having sex,” White said.

“The minor victim and Hare had sex approximately 20 to 30 times throughout the 2021-2022 school term, including multiple times at her Conway residence, in her vehicle, and in her classroom and parking lots at Bryant High School.”

It included sex during an April 2022 school trip to Washington, DC, when Hare took J.R. and three female students for a national LifeSmarts competition tied to her Family Consumer Sciences course.

“J.R. advised they planned to have sex on the trip and not have to worry about being caught,” White said. “Hare did come to his hotel room and the two engaged in sex.”

The now-former teacher broke down in court as she was asked if everything the prosecutor detailed was “100% accurate.”

“Yes, sir,” she replied, sobbing softly before confirming she pleaded “guilty.”

Again, I must say: it is probably unfair to women to put them in jail for doing this.

Firstly, it’s not that big of a deal.

Secondly, what did anyone expect?

A special education teacher has been charged after allegedly having sex with a high school student – as parents claim the school was warned about the allegations for months.

Kara Lee, 26, was charged with three counts of first-degree sexual assault and contributing to the delinquency of a minor after police claimed they found evidence she engaged in “inappropriate physical touching and sexual intercourse” with a student at Cross County High School in Cherry Valley.

The school district contacted the Arkansas Child Maltreatment Hotline to detail the allegations but parents said they knew of the relationship for months. Officials believe the incidents occurred in November and December 2023. “I’ve heard that they have been interfering with each other for a while now and that the students knew about and told the school, but they didn’t take no action,” one local who asked to remain anonymous said.

“It makes me sad, it also makes me feel angry,” Madisyn Hill, a local parent told WREG. “I have siblings that go to the school and they basically just said that it happened and this kid was emailing with her or chatting with her somehow, and it just kept occurring.”

Lee was released from jail on a $40,000 (£31,000) bond on Friday and resigned from her job at the high school. Lee’s mum also works for the Cross County School District as a General Business Manager and District Treasurer, according to her Facebook profile.

In a statement issued by Nathan Morris, the Cross County Superintendent of Schools said: “The Cross County School District has a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate relationships between educators and students and will continue using its best efforts to provide students with a safe and healthy educational environment.”

At this point, there are so very many of these stories that it is only fair that we assume that all female teachers are having sex with their students.

Kaytlann Barnes, 30, who was a teacher at the time at Booneville Junior High School, allegedly sent several nude photos and a video through Snapchat “purposefully exposing her sex organs” to the boy, the Logan County Sheriff’s Office said.

“She directed the student to send sexually explicit pictures back to her,” police said.

A beloved father of six died suddenly after collapsing on the floor while helping move his son into a dorm at Arkansas State University over the weekend.

Jeremy Tillman, 45, of Russellville, Arkansas, suffered a “very sudden medical event” at the university around 10 a.m. Saturday, his fiancée, Elizabeth Goodson, 39, told KARK.

“He came through the door and he was in obvious distress,” Goodson, 39, said. “I guess he may have strained too hard.”

Tillman was assisting his son, Jace Tillman, move his belongings onto campus ahead of the fall semester.

The car dealership employee was found not breathing on the floor with foam “pouring” out of his mouth, Today reported. Emergency services performed CPR on Tillman and used a defibrillator to restart his heart.

“We went there with him, and then driving home without him was, I think, one of the worst things I’ve ever experienced,” Goodson told KARK.

The grandfather-of-two became engaged to Goodson at the end of June in Peru, where he proposed to her at Machu Pucchu. She planned on wearing her engagement dress to his funeral, which was Wednesday.

These news articles about these “died suddenly” cases always post these family photos. You’re supposed to feel this big emotional thing. I don’t personally feel emotions for anyone I don’t know, certainly not people I read about on the internet.

A Florida group primarily funded by an Illinois billionaire is driving the recent attacks on direct democracy in states such as Ohio, Missouri, South Dakota and Arkansas.

The Foundation for Government Accountability, a Florida-based group affiliated with the alliance of conservative thinktanks called the State Policy Network, has played a key role in recent efforts to raise the threshold for passing citizen ballot initiatives from a simple majority to a supermajority, and to make it harder to place measures on the ballot in the first place.

These efforts are designed to derail citizen-led ballot initiatives to protect abortion rights, raise the minimum wage or expand Medicaid. In effect, FGA and its allies seek to give 41% of the voting population an effective veto over the wishes of the other 59%.

Instead of giving 51% veto over 49%.

Maybe we should have a different way to make policy?

Also, do 41% of the people support the Ukraine war? We’ve had no vote on that.

In at least four states, FGA and its lobbying arm, the Opportunity Solutions Project, have lobbied or testified in favor of changing ballot initiative rules to enshrine minority rule, and in some cases have financed ballot committees advocating for those changes. FGA has also issued reports, legal memos, op-eds and polling that advocate for gutting direct democracy.

The latest fight is in Ohio, where Republican lawmakers last month passed a measure requiring future constitutional amendments to receive at least 60% support from voters – rather than a simple majority – and that would make it harder for proposed amendments to make it on to the ballot. Ohioans will now vote in August on whether to approve the higher thresholds.

You have to have 2/3rds vote to change the US Constitution.

Pretty sure these rules are well-established.

The controversial plan is designed to derail an abortion rights initiative expected to be on the ballot in November.

When Ohio Republicans first proposed the supermajority requirement last year, a representative of FGA’s lobbying arm was the only person who testified in favor. FGA’s lobbying arm again testified in support of the proposal earlier this year, in hearings before the House and Senate. FGA argued that the proposal was necessary to “make it more difficult for out of state billionaires and dark money groups” to change Ohio law.

As the measure moved through Ohio’s Republican-controlled legislature, the Illinois billionaire Dick Uihlein gave $1.1m to the newly created “Save Our Constitution PAC”, which ran ads pressuring state lawmakers to support the measure; Uihlein is expected to contribute more as the August vote approaches.

A foundation controlled by Uihlein is also the largest known source of FGA’s funding, giving $17.6m since 2014. Uihlein has also been one of the key funders of election denial. Among other things, Uihlein has poured tens of millions into his “Restoration of America” network that promotes ludicrous election conspiracy theories and which created a controversial database that published voters’ personal information online in the name of uncovering election fraud. In the 2022 cycle, Dick Uihlein and his wife, Liz, were also top donors to election-denying candidates like the Pennsylvania gubernatorial hopeful Doug Mastriano and Nevada secretary of state candidate Jim Marchant.

For decades, the mainstream anti-abortion movement promised that it did not believe women who have abortions should be criminally charged. But now, Republican lawmakers in several US states have introduced legislation proposing homicide and other criminal charges for those seeking abortion care.

The bills have been introduced in states such as Texas, Kentucky, South Carolina, Oklahoma and Arkansas. Some explicitly target medication abortion and self-managed abortion; some look to remove provisions in the law which previously protected pregnant people from criminalization; and others look to establish the fetus as a person from the point of conception.

It is highly unlikely that all of these bills will pass. But their proliferation marks a distinct departure from the language of existing bans and abortion restrictions, which typically exempt people seeking abortion care from criminalization.

“This exposes a fundamental lie of the anti-abortion movement, that they oppose the criminalization of the pregnant person,” said Dana Sussman, the acting executive director of Pregnancy Justice. “They are no longer hiding behind that rhetoric.”

The bills being introduced in Arkansas, Texas, Kentucky and South Carolina look to establish that life begins at conception. Each of these bills explicitly references homicide charges for abortion. Homicide is punishable by the death penalty in all of those states.

Bills in Oklahoma, South Carolina and Texas also explicitly target medication abortion, which so far has fallen into a legal grey zone in much of the country.

A bill in Alabama has also been announced, although not yet been introduced, by Republican representative Ernest Yarbrough, that would establish fetal personhood from conception and repeal a section of Alabama’s abortion ban that expressly prevents homicide charges for abortion. The state’s current law makes abortion a class A felony, on the same level as homicide, but exempts women seeking abortions from being held criminally or civilly liable.

Laws that establish fetal personhood also bring the risk of opening pregnant people up to battery and assault charges for endangering a fetus. Such charges have already been documented in hundreds of cases, using criminal laws championed in recent decades by the anti-abortion movement that recognize fetuses as potential victims.

Women will never take responsibility for their own decisions, which means they cannot be allowed to make decisions. It makes absolutely no sense to allow a group of “humans” to go around behaving as if something is morally right because they think it and do it, and then also tell them they can never be punished for anything.

Either you take away their ability to make decisions, or you manage their poor decision-making with punishment. Those are the only options.

Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders is set to ban drag shows from public property in the state — a move that she says will protect children and only is controversial in the “radical left’s woke dystopia.”

The Republican governor is poised to sign a bill that would define drag shows as “adult-oriented performances, which passed in the state’s House panel on Wednesday and calls for them to be banned from public property, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported.

“I think we have to do everything — I’ve been very clear and talked about this pretty extensively — to protect children. I think that’s what this bill does,” Sanders said last month.

Sanders’ spokeswoman Alexa Henning told the Washington Post that the bill is not aimed at “banning anything,” but is about “protecting kids” from being exposed to “sexually explicit drag shows.”

“Only in the radical left’s woke dystopia is it not appropriate to protect kids,” she told the newspaper.

The bill defines a drag show as someone dancing, singing, and lip-syncing to an audience of two or more people while using a different gender identity than the one given at birth.

The performers use “clothing, makeup, or other accessories that are traditionally worn by members of and are meant to exaggerate the gender identity of the performer’s opposite sex.”

This is an important issue. However, it’s not really that important anymore, because we have entered the Balloon Age.

A federal appeals court on Wednesday upheld Arkansas’ law requiring state contractors to pledge not to boycott Israel, finding the restriction is not an unconstitutional violation of free speech.

The full 8th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals reversed a 2-1 decision last year by a three-judge panel of the court that found the requirement to be unconstitutional. The Arkansas Times had sued to block the law, which requires contractors with the state to reduce their fees by 20% if they don’t sign the pledge.

“(The law) only prohibits economic decisions that discriminate against Israel,” Judge Jonathan Kobes wrote in the court’s opinion. “Because those commercial decisions are invisible to observers unless explained, they are not inherently expressive and do not implicate the First Amendment.”

This judge was put there by Donald Trump.

A federal judge in 2019 dismissed the Times’ lawsuit, ruling that the boycotts are not protected by the First Amendment. A three-judge panel of the appeals court reversed that ruling, and the state appealed to the full appeals court.

The American Civil Liberties Union, which represented the Times, said it planned to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.

“We hope and expect that the Supreme Court will set things right and reaffirm the nation’s historic commitment to providing robust protection to political boycotts,” Brian Hauss, senior staff attorney for the ACLU Foundation’s Speech, Privacy & Technology Project, said in a statement.

The new ruling didn’t give a breakdown of how judges decided, but at least one dissented, saying the law is written so broadly that it could go beyond boycotts.

“One could imagine a company posting anti-Israel signs, donating to causes that promote a boycott of Israel, encouraging others to boycott Israel, or even publicly criticizing the act with the intent to ‘limit commercial relations with Israel’ as a general matter,” Judge Jane Kelly wrote in her dissent. “And any of that conduct would arguably fall within the prohibition.”

The Times’ lawsuit said the University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College refused to contract for advertising with the newspaper unless the paper signed the pledge. The newspaper isn’t engaged in a boycott against Israel.

“Today is a resounding victory for Arkansas’s anti-discrimination law and reinforces Arkansas’s relationship with our long-time ally, Israel,” Republican Attorney General Leslie Rutledge, whose office defended the law, said in a statement.

This is a complicated speech issue on its face, but it’s pretty straightforward – as much as Israel talks about how BDS activists should be attacking other countries instead of them, there is no other country that can have a boycott made illegal in America.

Just compare it to Russia – Russia is involved in a border skirmish with a “country” that was a part of Russia thirty years ago. Israel is stealing land from its neighbors that it has no claim at all to, from countries that are not threats to Israel.

One person was killed and 20 people were wounded by gunfire – including multiple children– in an apparent mass shooting at a car show in Arkansas Saturday night, police confirmed.

Dumas Police Chief Keith Finch told reporters Saturday night that one person of interest is in custody as his department investigates the possibility of multiple shooters involved.

He confirmed that multiple children were injured in the shooting, but was told that they are doing okay.

Several victims were transported to local hospitals in McGehee and Dumas, with one child being transported to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital. At least two victims have been airlifted from the parking lot, the Desha County Office of Emergency Management told KARK.

The victims’ conditions were not immediately known.

Police have not yet released any information on any potential suspects nor the details of how the shooting unfolded.

Car show organizer Wallace McGehee said that the event had been a fun, nonviolent affair for 16 years before Saturday’s deadly shooting.

“We don’t really know what happened but we just want to send our prayers to all of our friends in this community. We’re here with yall,” he told KATV.
