The hacking group Anonymous has issued a threat to Elon Musk, accusing the billionaire Tesla owner of having liquidated dreams and “destroyed lives” with his tweets about cryptocurrencies.

With just a few words, memes, emojis and likes, the world’s third-richest person has sent the value of cryptocurrencies both diving and soaring in recent months – notably with his jocular backing of dogecoin, followed more recently by sobering claims of concern over bitcoin’s environmental impact.

In the latest turn of the saga, which has seen crypto investors’ fortunes rise and fall, the value of bitcoin dropped seven per cent on Friday after Musk shared a meme about a breakup to his 56 million Twitter followers, which some investors took as an indication that his electric vehicle company could intend to sell off its coins, having purchased $1.5bn-worth in February.

The hacking group claimed his erratic public dalliance with cryptocurrencies “show a clear disregard for the average working person”.

Suggesting that Mr Musk has “enjoyed one of the most favourable reputations of anyone in the billionaire class” by tapping into the desire many people have to live in a world with electric cars and space exploration, a Guy Fawkes mask-clad member of the hactivist group described him as the only CEO of such a company to have “gained a cult following through s***posting and trolling the world on social media”.

In a video viewed more than one million times since it was posted on Saturday, the Anonymous member cited a number of Musk’s past comments and allegations against him as they said it seems his “quest to save the world is more rooted in a superiority and saviour complex than it is an actual concern for humanity”.

The hacking group also sought to discredit Musk’s recent criticisms of bitcoin by implying that his sudden volte face could have been influenced by the US government – which has been vocally critical of cryptocurrencies – funding his companies are reported to have previously received, a claim for which the activist offered speculation but no proof.

Referring to the “very nuanced” issue of bitcoin’s carbon footprint, which is currently estimated to equal that of New Zealand’s, the hacking group said: “This is a conversation that you have been having for over a year and were intimately aware of.

“But as soon as your main source of income was threatened, you pretended to be clueless in an attempt to play both sides of the fence.”

“As hard-working people have their dreams liquidated over your public temper tantrums, you continue to mock them with memes from one of your million-dollar mansions,” the Anonymous member said, before concluding with a sign-off familiar from the previous videos from the group, which has attacked individuals, firms and organisations such as the Church of Scientology, Sarah Palin, Visa, Amazon and Paypal.

“You may think you are the smartest person in the room, but now you’ve met your match. We are anonymous. We are Legion. Expect us.”

The State Department running fake social media accounts to foment revolution isn’t some new thing. This methodology was first rolled out during the Arab Spring, nearly a decade ago.

It’s cheap and easy and it works.

By the way, this is what they were basically accusing Russia of doing in 2016. Though there was never any evidence they did this, this is what the US government defines as “foreign election meddling.”

When Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido declared himself the nation’s legitimate president in January 2019, an Instagram account, @FrenteLibreVzla, posted a video declaring him a “new leader” who would bring freedom to the embattled nation, according to a research report published Friday.

Those watching the video had no way of knowing the account was based not in Venezuela’s capital, Caracas, but downtown Washington, managed by a strategic communications firm with clients across Latin America.

The firm, CLS Strategies, this week became the latest communications company to be chastised by Facebook for using fake accounts — including on Instagram, a Facebook subsidiary — to secretly manipulate politics in another country, in violation of Facebook’s prohibition on foreign interference.

CLS Strategies said Friday that it had launched an internal investigation in conjunction with an outside law firm and put the head of its Latin American practice on administrative leave. But it disputed that its activities amount to foreign interference, saying the clients it was representing were located in the affected countries.

Yeah, I’m sure.

“Importantly, our past client work in Latin America, including opposition to oppressive regimes, was not conducted on behalf of foreign entities — the work was funded and directed by clients inside each country. This makes CLS’s work very different from the foreign influence activities reported by Facebook, and any characterization of CLS’ work in the three countries at issue as ‘foreign’ is wrong,” CLS Strategies’ chief executive Bob Chlopak said in a statement.

“We take very seriously the issues raised by Facebook and others regarding CLS’ past advertising in Latin America,” Chlopak said in his statement, adding that the company wants to “ensure future work of CLS meets the highest standards of transparency and advertising platforms.”

Facebook announced Tuesday it had closed 55 accounts, 42 pages and 36 Instagram accounts linked to CLS Strategies that targeted politics in Venezuela, Bolivia and Mexico. The effort spent $3.6 million in advertising across all three countries, a sum that Facebook executives said was notable for its size and reflective of what happens when actors with deep pockets mount a disinformation operation. The pages had amassed more than 500,000 followers, Facebook said.

Friday’s report, by the Stanford Internet Observatory, a disinformation research group that had been provided data by Facebook, focused on the accounts active in Bolivia and Venezuela, including several real accounts operated by CLS Strategies employees. The researchers did not find that the accounts closed by Facebook operated in tandem to artificially amplify content, but they found that 11 of the accounts targeting Bolivia were opened in the same time period, in February 2020, and listed four managers in the United States, one in Bolivia and one in Venezuela.
The report also noted that CLS Strategies employees had previous professional ties to opposition political leaders in Venezuela.

The accounts targeting Bolivia supported Interim President Jeanine Áñez and criticized her predecessor, Evo Morales, who resigned amid nationwide protests in November after nearly 14 years in office.

One of the fake Facebook pages, Prohibido olvidar, posted content mainly about allegations of electoral fraud by Morales and had 524 likes and 595 followers, the report found. It said that another fake Bolivian Facebook page, Bolificado, portrayed itself as a fact-checking operation and on at least one occasion contradicted the findings of authentic Bolivian fact checkers, labeling a true story “FAKE NEWS” in bold red letters.

The Stanford report described the trend of hiring a public relations or marketing firm to conduct a disinformation operation as increasingly common, noting that Facebook has conducted takedowns against communications firms in Israel, Canada, India, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates — and now, the United States — for engaging in coordinated inauthentic behavior.

“It’s apparent that these campaigns have become a lucrative and in-demand service, and there are a host of digital marketing firms willing to provide them and profit off of them,” the report said.

Then, they started getting “political.” They did “Project Chanology,” which was a protest against Scientology.

The Scientology thing was the first time they brought out the V for Vendetta masks, I think.

From that point, it continued to get gayer, even as their hub at Encyclopedia Dramatica was still pretty funny (it isn’t anymore, the whole thing has been rewritten and you cannot laugh at any of it).

Members supporting Ron Paul’s presidency also wore the V masks.

Six million people are following a group which claims to be a dissident group and yet goes all the way down the line checking every single position of the global financial elite.

You see something like this and it really hits you just how easily manipulated the masses are. It’s infuriating to think of even one person claiming to be a fashionable rebel while supporting the CIA war against Syria.

In fact, the masses of people truly are sheep. This is a biological reality. They are incapable of thinking for themselves. Most of them have good instincts, but they are so completely confused and not in any way capable of any form of critical analysis. People like the idea of supporting the weak against the powerful, and in truth, this is something that should happen. People should have freedom and justice. I endorse that completely. But as I outlined above, they are on the precise opposite side of every single issue.

A big part of their ability to do this is hiding behind black people, who are naturally pitiful. If you can frame someone as being against black people, it is much easier to frame them as evil. Of course in reality, as pitiful as black people are, they are used as a violent weapon against normal people by the ruling elite, who then hide behind them.

I support helping black people. But what would help black people is not to remove the cops from their neighborhoods. What would help black people are strict sentences for drug criminals, a removal of drugs from their neighborhoods, repairing the single mother situation, suppression of violent rap music, and promotion of black leaders who tell black men to take responsibility for their own lives instead of blaming their problems on whites. Fixing the black community in that way would also help whites, who would no longer be subjected to the brutal violence of the black community, which makes our own living spaces unsafe.

The foreign policy stuff is all just goofy. The best position on foreign policy you could sell the normies is “interventionism is bad, the US involving itself militarily with other countries never helps anything.” That is a simple thing that the normie can wrap his brain around.

One thing is certain: it is truly exhausting to look at the way that the normie is controlled in all of his thinking using such minimal effort to the point where six million people think they’re rebels for supporting the CIA war in Syria because of a mask from a cringe Hollywood movie from fifteen years ago.

A video claiming to be from Anonymous led to a post on the website Ghostbin, where unidentified people posted a Social Security number for Trump that appears to have been floating around online since at least 2013. It was unclear whether the number was actually Trump’s.

The post also listed a cell phone number for Trump — which the Republican front-runner himself tweeted out in August 2015, one day after Gawker published the number.

Other information in the post alleging to be from Anonymous included such publicly available information as the names of Trump’s children and the address of Trump Tower. Anonymous has declared war on Donald Trump over his hugely controversial proposal to ban Muslims from the US.

Supporters of the online group have posted a video online criticising the presidential hopeful’s comments. The group also appear to have briefly breaking the website for one of Mr Trump’s properties, the Trump Tower in New York.

In a video featuring a figure wearing the mask now associated with the group, supporters tell Mr Trump that by threatening to ban Muslims from the US he is playing into the hands of Isis.

“The more the United States appears to be targeting Muslims, not just radical Muslims, you can be sure that ISIS will be putting that on their social media campaign,” the video says.

“Donald Trump, think twice before you speak anything. You have been warned,” the video says.

Wow, they gave a warning. Makes the bones shiver.

A History of Utter Failure

Anonymous’ last “operation,” entitled “OpISIS,” involved mass-reporting every twitter account with Arabic lettering on it. Maybe that is sort of funny, but in all honesty, if the accounts were in Arabic, they were probably the accounts of Arabs living in Arabia, so there isn’t really a good reason to harass them and make them go through the days-long process of getting their account restored.

Twitter eventually stopped responding to requests to shut down accounts with Arabic writing, as it was straining their systems. There was never any evidence that any of these accounts were run by ISIS.

They also complained and tried to have Cloudflare shutdown, as they said it was blocking them from ddosing ISIS.

The media took all of this very seriously.

Just to note here: making lists and mass-reporting accounts is not “hacking.”

The “operation” before that one was entitled “opKKK.” They claimed they had hacked the KKK and had lists of members.

This “operation” began by putting out fake lists of congressmen and claiming that they were in the KKK. The media took that seriously. They then released a long list of Facebook accounts which contained White Nationalist imagery.

The media tried to spin this, though even such Jews as those at VICE had to admit it was gay as hell, and that nothing had been hacked or leaked.

Their original list contained all of the aliases of Ben Garrison.

Once again: making a list of public Facebook accounts is not “hacking.”

The only “hacking” that “Anonymous” actually does is ddosing, which is not really actually hacking either – you just rent a botnet and enter an IP address.

What is Happening?

Presently, I am about 85% certain that this current incarnation of “Anonymous” is actually run by Nazi trolls. I think there are individuals with actual hacking skills, which have awed the scriptkiddies in these IRC channels, and are using the “organization” to make SJWs look retarded.

Anonymous has attacked web services startup CloudFlare for providing protection against cyberattacks to pro-Isis websites.

The company protects customers against the distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks popular amongst groups like Anonymous by routing connections through its own content delivery network. By weeding out malicious connections, it prevents DDoS attacks from succeeding in their goal of overwhelming a website with traffic so that it collapses.

But according to members of Anonymous, which has reaffirmed its yearlong “war” against Isis following the Paris attacks, that technology is also being used by pro-Isis websites to protect themselves against the hacktivist collective’s attempts to bring down their servers.

The week before the Paris attacks, Ghost Security Group, an Anonymous-affiliated “counter-terrorism network”, counted almost 40 websites that use CloudFlare’s services to protect their content. According to GhostSec, 34 were propaganda websites, four were discussion forums, and two offered technical services.

Such accusations are nothing new to CloudFlare, which has long argued that it is not its job to police content on its network. In August 2013, in response to similar allegations from James Cook, a reporter at the Kernel magazine, the company’s chief executive Matthew Prince published a blogpost laying out its view on free speech on its network.

Once again: direct attack on free speech.

I don’t know about you, but I would rather have internet freedom than shut down a few ISIS websites. Cloudflare is a company which also helps to protect sites which question the government. Once you stop their free speech policy, you end up in a situation where everyone’s speech is open to being questioned.

How, exactly, is ddosing ISIS doing anything to them? I’m sure it’s annoying to whomever is running ISIS’ websites, but does it actually do anything to stop them?

Obviously no. ISIS is not an internet-based organization. Attacking their websites has no effect on anything but their websites. If these anonymous kikes want to stop ISIS, they should go and fight for Assad’s military. Otherwise, all they are doing is attacking free speech, which is exactly the thing we want not to happen.

“Takes down” in this context means mass-reporting Arabic Twitter accounts. The Alternet article doesn’t even mention how they did this “take down,” as it sounds too gay and stupid. They leave it vague, as if they guessed the passwords of 5,500 people.

Because these people presumably do not read Arabic, or have any way to identify ISIS members beyond their Twitter profiles, they mass-reported a bunch of people who are definitely not ISIS.

A group associated with the Anonymous hacktivist movement launched what they claimed was a “total war” against the Islamic State (also known as ISIS or Daesh), encouraging people to join in an effort allegedly targeting social media accounts associated with the terror organization in response to the attacks in Paris a week ago. Multiple “ops” have been launched in an attempt to crowdsource efforts to disrupt ISIS social media and even hack its members. But there has also been a rash of accusations between those associated with different operations, and it’s not clear that any of them are achieving anything other than drawing attention to Anonymous again.

In a video release, self-proclaimed members of #OpParis announced that they had taken down 20,000 Twitter accounts associated with ISIS. Individuals associated with the operation also claim to have alerted law enforcement to planned ISIS attacks in the US and Paris.

However, many of the accounts targeted by an automated Twitter reporting script that the group has distributed via links from its chat channel have nothing to do with the Islamic State. And the FBI has discounted that information, releasing a statement that “we do not have specific or credible information of an attack at this time.” The US attack claimed to have been uncovered by Anonymous members was allegedly targeting a WWE wrestling event in Atlanta tonight.

Nearly all of the accounts in the current list being distributed by the operation via Pastebin to a Twitter reporting script being used by some Anonymous members have already been suspended. Another list of about 4,000 accounts posted by Anonymous members and reviewed by Ars includes Twitter accounts that have posted messages sympathetic to ISIS, but in the majority they are not specifically ISIS. Some are actually those of Palestinians, and others appear to be accounts “trolling” ISIS. Others appear to be merely accounts in Arabic.

I guess they had to do something after Cloudflare stopped their ddosing plans. But man, how gay. They should really just pay some Arabs to put these masks on and show video of it, be like “we’re now in Syria, killing their dudes.”

ISIS and the rest of the terrorists take Bitcoin, guys. I’m sure they’ll put these masks on and blow some stuff up if you throw them a few bucks. They are a mercenary group.

Anyway – why does the media keep reporting on this group, which presently exists only because the media says it does? I guess it is sexy to imagine a secret global network of SJW do-gooders fighting against the evil empire.

At some point though – presumably soon – this is going to turn into such a joke that only joke media will report on it.

Meanwhile, I’m waiting for you guys to start putting up videos and tweets saying you’re Anonymous and you’re at war with the Jews.

New Anonymous is redacting their faildox and attempting to remove some of the main elements of complete and total failure.

Though they claimed to have hacked something, what they have actually done is gone though social media accounts and found people saying naughty un-PC things, then created a list and said they were in the KKK because they hate immigrants or Blacks or whatever.

They also included a bunch of fake stuff, for whichever reason.

A bunch of people on Twitter are like “oh but I thought you were going to expose government officials.” That’s actually the way these people think. That government officials are in the KKK.

I am not sure if the whole operation was run by trolls, if trolls just infiltrated it, or if they are actually so mentally retarded that they somehow managed to troll themselves this bad. But this is hands-down one of the most humiliating trolls I have ever seen in my life.

I mean, I don’t like these people. And I feel embarrassed for them. No one deserves to suffer this level of humiliation. It’s like watching a baby get thrown into a wood-chipper.

What’s much worse that the Anonymous fail is that the media has played along with this for a week and a half, and continued to play along with it even after they fail doxed a bunch of senators and other government officials. There are over a thousand articles on “#OpKKK” on Google News, and it was in my top stories at least twice. The media really needs to be held to account for promoting this idiot hoax. Why did they do it?

Whatever the case, this is pretty well the end of “Anonymous.” You cannot come back from a fail this hard.

Where to Start? The basics. The Ku Klux Klan has approximately 150 active cells, operating in 41 states, with membership concentrated in both the South and the Midwest. The KKK is not what it once was but it does continue to survive in various locations throughout the United States. At its peak, membership was in the millions. Now, membership is likely less than 5,000. It is very important to understand – the KKK does not have a central unified leadership. Instead, they are split off into local cells or groups.

These groups generally oppose interracial relationships, homosexuality and illegal immigration and historically express this ideology through acts of terror. We want to remind you: This operation is not about the ideas of members of the Ku Klux Klan. This is about the behaviors of members of KKK splinter cells that bear the hallmarks of terrorism. When members of the KKK like Frazier Glenn Miller, (founder of the Carolina Knights of the Ku Klux Klan and the White Patriot Party) murdered three innocent individuals at a Jewish retirement home during Passover – the word “terrorism” was seldom found in mainstream media’s coverage of the attack. Why? What sort of violence does it take to call *some* factions of Ku Klux Klan what *some* of these cells really are?

We defend free thought and free speech. The anons responsible for this operation will not support *acts* of terrorism and *acts* of hate inflicted upon the public. The KKK is part of an important cultural landscape and history in the United States.
We need to make room for important, blunt, honest, public, productive conversation. Violent bigotry IS a problem in the United States. This is not a colorblind society. It deeply divided on racial lines.

We hope Operation KKK will, in part, spark a bit of constructive dialogue about race, racism, racial terror and freedom of expression, across group lines. Public discourse about these topics can be honest, messy, snarky, offensive, humbling, infuriating, productive, and serious all at once. The reality is that racism usually does NOT wear a hood but it does permeate our culture on every level. Part of the reason we have taken the hoods off of these individuals is not because of their identities, but because of what their hoods symbolize to us in our broader society.

In media, the Ku Klux Klan is an easy target to pick on. In terms of the KKK, journalists usually print what they want with very little consequence because sensational stories like this generate impressive ad revenue (just like with the bogus OpKKK leak).
We feel it is important to provide accurate information about our observations during this operation. We learned, that aside from our striking differences in overall ideology and behavior, we have found that many members of Ku Klux Klan groups actually have a few important similarities to us. For example, they are mostly poor and pissed off at the the Man. They oppose government surveillance and they generally feel persecuted for free thought. Day to day, some klan members work very hard for very little. This is a common ground we understand all to well. We feel that the ability to find common struggles with those that are very different than ourselves is important. Even if they are filled with hatred. We will never sympathize with the KKK but we do desire to understand them and learn about how they see their world. We do see their humanity, we respect their right to free thought and we know their fear of others is wrong. We also know their behaviors strike fear, anxiety and terror into others. This will no longer be socially tolerated.

In this dox list, you will find official members of various KKK groups throughout the United States as well as their closest associates (most are also in other extremist hate groups). You will see many names with ALIAS beside it. If indicated, these are CONFIRMED aliases. Other names on this list may be aliases, as well. Some aliases we were unable to crack. The klan sometimes hides behind several online identities. Given name or alias, these are the real people underneath the hoods.

It is important to note that many klan members change klan affiliations as well as go back and forth between being klan members and neo nazis etc (sometimes both, if permitted). There is quite a bit of movement between these types of groups (usually due to infighting). For this reason, you will see some names of individuals that are listed as neo nazis and so on. Some members of this list are quite dangerous, sociopathic individuals. Others are not.

Data collected for Operation KKK was gathered over approximately 11 months and those included on this list were identified primarily through HUMINT (human intelligence) data collection strategies. This means that individuals on this list were often identified by human sources of information through both overt (interviewing expert sources) and covert (digital espionage / social engineering) methods. Individuals on our list were also identified through open source intelligence strategies (OSINT). This is a broad array of information and sources that are generally available to the public. This includes: multimedia, academic records and public data. Members often told on themselves to us about their connections with the KKK during various chat conversations we had with klan members and affiliates throughout the course of our operation. You never know who you are talking to on the internet.

We understand this initiative is extremely controversial and we know we will face much criticism for this operation and our work will be heavily scrutinized. I haven’t even been through the whole list, or even much of it. Just released a half an hour ago as I write.

I’m guessing there is more than one other lol in there. I don’t yet know what percentage of this operation was manufactured by Heroic Warriors of Truth and Justice, but the fact they went ahead and listed the aliases makes me believe the whole thing was organized by such beacons of freedom.

Anonymous is staging a global march against… something, perhaps.

I have no idea if all those involved in this support harassing and threatening the families of poor people who live in trailer parks and accusing them of running a global conspiracy against Blacks.

However, what I am not seeing is others using the “Anonymous” label come out and condemn those who are focused on shutting down free speech and harassing poor Whites.

All I have ever wanted is my freedom, and Anonymous has been at least as aggressive as the US government in trying to shut it down. Now, of course, I have a serious IT team.

But I didn’t always, and this ddosing was a major hassle. And the entire premise was that they didn’t believe I had a right to free speech.

If you really want to protest “censorship, corruption, war and poverty,” why not reduce it to protesting “Jews”?

For the fourth year in a row the “Anonymous army,” as the group likes to call its activists, will rise up and take part in rallies and protests from Sydney to Los Angeles and Johannesburg to London.

Hiding their faces behind stylized ‘Anonymous’ masks popularized by the “V for Vendetta” movie, they will come forward to make their voices heard.

The Million Mask March is also about letting “various governments” know that “the free flow of information” will never be stopped.

Yeah.

Right.

“We now face a dilemma unfamiliar to any previous human civilization, we face this dilemma not simply as a community, nor a nation; rather collectively as a planet. We have something no previous generation has ever had, the internet,” Anonymous said in its 2015 promo video for the Million Mask March.

Social media has been their major megaphone calling on people to unite in a global move. Anonymous started trends on Twitter such as #MMM, #MMM2015, #MillionMaskMarch, and #Nov5th that are now full of slogans and pictures.

Just like last year, London expects one of the most massive marches on its streets. According to the demonstration’s page on Facebook, 18,000 people are going to join the Anonymous-inspired march.

“The government and the 1% have played their hand, now it is time to play ours,” a Facebook statement reads.

This year’s dress code for the London’s Million Mask March calls for “white judicial wigs, black robes & Anonymous masks for Order of Public Court.”

Meanwhile in Washington, the Million Mask March is expected to be attended by 25,000 people, according to Facebook’s number of “going” at the time of publication.

Activists plan to meet by the Washington monument not far from the Capitol building and march towards the White House. They are going to be protesting a wide range of issues, including “Police brutality,” the “2nd amendment,” and “MAJOR corruption in every government,” to name a few, while rallying for “FREEDOM!”

I don’t support “police brutality,” but this has become code for “let Blacks kill cops.”

Otherwise, nothing that these people are saying I would explicitly disagree with. I am against censorship, restricting the Second Amendment, corruption in government and war. Probably everyone is against that.

But what do any of these things have to do with the KKK, which, at least going by media coverage, is the present main target of this group? Why do they need to endanger the families of people whose political views they disagree with? Does this not violate their own principles?

Some “Anonymous” figure on Twitter told me “we’re not trying to endanger them or their families, we’re just trying to expose them” and I said “what possible reason could you have for ‘exposing’ them other than to try to incite violence against them?”

That is, obviously, the only possible reason. Maybe also to get them harassed by the government, I guess. But nothing good. If you believe in freedom, you believe in people’s right to hold their own belief system.

As a right-wing extremist, I would never try and shut down the free speech of my enemies. Nor would I try and have their families murdered. This is not political activism, it is mere terrorism.

They published this video of a couple scared for their kids on one of their own YouTube channels, gloating that they had terrorized these poor people.

They are proud this man and woman feared for the lives of their children.
