Elagabalus was a faggot and crossdresser, and one of the worst emperors of Rome

A crossdressing faggot is not the same thing as the modern concept of a tranny.

Sorry.

Maybe they seem aesthetically similar, but it’s not the same thing, and this is just rewriting history.

BBC:

A museum is to relabel its display about a Roman emperor after concluding that he was in fact a trans woman.

North Hertfordshire Museum will now refer to emperor Elagabalus with the female pronouns of she and her.

It comes after classical texts claim the emperor once said “call me not Lord, for I am a Lady”.

A museum spokesperson said it was “only polite and respectful to be sensitive to identifying pronouns for people in the past”.

The museum is run by a woman named Ros Allwood

The museum has one coin of Elagabalus, which is often displayed amongst other LGBTQ+ items in its collection.

It said it consulted LGBTQ+ charity Stonewall to ensure “displays, publicity and talks are as up-to-date and inclusive as possible”.

It’s ancient history displays have to be up-to-date, huh?

Marcus Aurelius Antoninus, better known as Elagabalus, ruled the Roman empire for just four years from 218AD to his assassination, aged 18, in 222AD.

He became an increasingly controversial figure over his short reign, developing a reputation for sexual promiscuity.

Cassius Dio, a senator and contemporary of Elagabalus, writes in his historical chronicles that the emperor was married five times – four times to women, and once to Hiercoles, a former slave and chariot driver.

In this final marriage, Dio writes that the emperor “was bestowed in marriage and was termed wife, mistress and queen”.

The debate over Elagabalus’s gender identity is long-standing and often splits academics.

Dr Shushma Malik, a Cambridge university classics professor, told the BBC: “The words Dio uses are a not a direct quote from Elagabalus, and at the time of writing the emperor would have been in his early teenage years.

“There are many examples in Roman literature of times where effeminate language and words were used as a a way of criticising or weakening a political figure.

“References to Elagabalus wearing makeup, wigs and removing body hair may have been written in order to undermine the unpopular emperor.”

Yeah, no one likes faggots, even in faggot Rome.

Regardless, even if he did call himself “queen,” homos have done that in Western society long before the advent of the tranny agenda, which goes beyond “this is a homosexual man who is sexually aroused by pretending to be a woman” into “this is the soul of a woman trapped in the body of a homosexual man.”

It’s a big difference and a relevant difference.

UK: Cambridge Latin Course Gets Some Much Needed Wokification https://www.anglinarchive.com/2022/07/13/uk-cambridge-latin-course-gets-some-much-needed-wokification/ Wed, 13 Jul 2022 00:00:00 +0000

All the history people were black.

Blacks built the United Kingdom, and it’s time they started getting a little bit of credit for that work.

The Guardian:

A popular Latin course used to teach generations of British schoolchildren has undergone its biggest overhaul in 50 years to include more prominent female characters and better reflect ethnic diversity in the Roman world.

A fifth edition of the Cambridge Latin Course (CLC), a mainstay of mainly private schools since the 1970s, is being published later this month, in response to concerns from teachers, academics and students about the representation of women, minorities and enslaved people in earlier versions.

Girls studying the course, which is story-based, complained there were not enough female roles, and that those included were passive and undeveloped. There was also criticism that the Roman world was incorrectly depicted as predominantly white, and objections to the way in which slaves and slavery were represented.

We wuz Romanz’n shieet

The course, which has sold more than 4m copies and was last updated more than 20 years ago, has assumed cult-like status in the decades since it was introduced, even inspiring a cameo in Doctor Who. There has been a growing consensus that it needs updating for 21st-century students and modern sensibilities, though editors fear they will be accused of “cancelling” aspects of the original.

Book one, set in Pompeii in the first century AD, focuses on the family of Lucius Caecilius Iucundus, his wife, Metella, son Quintus, cook Grumio and faithful hound Cerberus. In the new version, a daughter called Lucia – who has been told by her father that he intends to marry her off to an older man – is introduced to allow greater exploration of young women’s experiences.

Another new female character, Clara, is hired by Caecilius to paint a fresco in his house in the new edition, while Barbillus, a successful Greco-Syrian merchant who appeared in book two of earlier editions, is given a more prominent role and is now clearly a person of colour. Previously, that was not clear from the line drawings.

Slavery, meanwhile, is depicted through the eyes of its victims, revealing the harsh reality of their lives in the Roman empire. One infamous episode from the original 1970s edition, in which a young female slave called Melissa is inspected lasciviously by the men of the household, prompting a jealous response from Metella, has been amended.

“Students today are much more aware of power dynamics and misogyny, not to mention issues of consent and sexual assault,” said Caroline Bristow, the director of the Cambridge Schools Classics Project, which runs the course at Cambridge University.

Fascinating

Editors have also removed the “loyal”, “happy”, “hard-working” and “lazy” slave tropes that existed in earlier editions. “The aim has always been to introduce students to the complexity of the Roman world and get them to think critically about it while learning Latin,” Bristow said. “That prepares them to engage more thoroughly with authentic classical sources. The feedback we got told is we weren’t doing enough in that regard.”

Bristow is bracing herself for accusations from traditionalists that she is trying to “cancel” Caecilius. “What seems to irritate our critics is that we don’t present Rome purely as a civilising culture. The reason is we’re teaching children to be classicists. We’re not teaching them to be Romans.”

There are even changes to the way in which gladiatorial combat is depicted, in line with recent scholarship, which has found it was not purely bloodthirsty, but reflected contemporary values such as martial prowess.

Did they have tranny gladiators?

Even if they didn’t, we should say they did, I think.

UK: Cambridge University Plans Signs Next to Statues to “Contextualize” Their Whiteness https://www.anglinarchive.com/2021/08/24/uk-cambridge-university-plans-signs-next-to-statues-to-contextualize-their-whiteness/ Tue, 24 Aug 2021 00:00:00 +0000

We have to make it so there is a cost for being white.

If there is no cost to whiteness, then white people will just go around breeding, and creating a whole new era of oppression.

RT:

A new anti-racism strategy at Cambridge University’s classical archaeology museum has been labelled “shameless pandering” after revealing that signs will be added to explain the “whiteness” of its Roman and Greek sculpture casts.

In an action plan published last month, the university’s classics faculty noted that the plaster casts on display in the museum and lecture rooms give the “misleading impression” of an “absence of diversity” in the ancient world. The faculty apparently decided to “turn the problem into an opportunity.”

According to the action plan, the faculty will provide “improved information” to “draw attention to the diversity figured in the casts,” and to “the ways in which colour has been lost and can be restored,” as well as to the “role of classical sculpture in the history of racism.”

Noting that students have been recruited to write “new labels and other materials,” the new information panels will go on display later this year. The plan also noted that discussion to this effect had begun in 2020.

It was reportedly drawn up in response to an open letter written last August, which called for “public acknowledgement of the problems of racism” within the classics department and highlighted the “need for active anti-racist work” within the discipline.

The open letter, signed by more than 200 students, alumni and some staff members, issued a number of demands, including “an acknowledgement of the existence of systemic racism within classics” and admitting “complicity in racist and white supremacist ideas” by teaching that Greek and Roman civilisations were the “foundation of a supposedly superior ‘Western Civilisation.’”

Announcing the action plan last month, the faculty had stated that the “idealisation of Greece and Rome, and the embedding of that idealisation in education, has featured significantly in the development of modern Western racism.”

However, the Daily Telegraph reported that academics in the faculty have criticised the action plan – which also calls for the inclusion of “content warnings” and “review of language” in course lectures and reading materials – as being “unhinged.”

One unnamed staff member pointed out that opportunities to highlight the diversity of the museum’s 600 plaster casts of Roman and Greek statues “would be limited” – since they are largely depictions of Romans and Greeks.

The majority of social media users agreed with that statement, with many accusing the university of “shameless pandering” and being on a “guilt trip,” while UK Independence Party founder and Eurosceptic scholar Alan Sked called it a “world-class joke.”

Whiteness is no joke.

What the Romans did to George Floyd can’t ever be forgotten.

We have to hunt them down, we have to destroy them, if we ever want for the world to have peacefulness.

Italy to Restore Tunnels Under the Colosseum https://www.anglinarchive.com/2020/12/31/italy-to-restore-tunnels-under-the-colosseum/ Thu, 31 Dec 2020 00:30:45 +0000

I’m frankly generally skeptical of rebuilding ancient buildings.

But they did a good job with some of the stuff in Greece, and so I’m hopeful about the Colosseum.

At least they’re not planning to completely rebuild the structure itself.

Smithsonian Magazine:

In ancient Rome, tens of thousands gathered at the Colosseum to watch enslaved men, condemned criminals and wild animals fight to the death. These grisly gladiator clashes required great feats of engineering: To make caged creatures and prize fighters emerge from underground as if by magic, the Romans devised a labyrinth of secret tunnels beneath the arena’s wooden, sand-covered floor.

These underground structures have remained exposed to the elements for more than a century, enabling the millions of tourists who visit the Colosseum each year to see them up close, according to Reuters. Now, the Italian government has pledged €10 million (around $12 million USD) toward the installation of a new, retractable floor that will restore the amphitheater to its gladiator-era glory.

“We want to give an idea of how it was, and we are seeking proposals from around the world,” Alfonsina Russo, director of the Colosseum, tells the Times’ Tom Kington.

Per BBC News, architectural designs for the ambitious renovation are due by February 1. Italian officials say they hope to complete the project by 2023.

During the four centuries that the Romans used the Colosseum, the hypogeum, or network of underground tunnels beneath the arena floor, resembled a “huge sailing ship,” wrote Tom Mueller for Smithsonian magazine in 2011.

The structure consisted of staging areas, ramps, pulleys, ropes and other mechanisms that allowed workers to create a seamless show aboveground. Engineers even devised an underground elevator of sorts that lifted lions, bears, leopards and other caged wild animals into the arena.

“The hypogeum allowed the organizers of the games to create surprises and build suspense,” Heinz-Jürgen Beste, a researcher at the German Archaeological Institute in Rome, told Smithsonian in 2011. “A hunter in the arena wouldn’t know where the next lion would appear, or whether two or three lions might emerge instead of just one.”

This is probably part of some kind of illuminati agenda, and Jews are planning to do human sacrifices in the ancient building once they have total control of the world. I guess. I mean. Okay. Whatever.

The question here is: where are they going to get the money for this?

Total War: Rome II Getting Patched to Replace White Soldiers with Women And Darkies https://www.anglinarchive.com/2018/09/23/total-war-rome-ii-getting-patched-to-replace-white-soldiers-with-women-and-darkies/ Sun, 23 Sep 2018 00:00:00 +0000 Adrian Sol

History is now an anime, except with ugly brown women doing everything instead of schoolgirls.

The video game industry is becoming WOKE at a breathtaking rate these days. Every single White male character present in any game is a problem to be solved – and they’re working overtime to do so.

Not only is damn near every new release by AAA studios focused on STRONG EMPOWERED WOMEN OF COLOR, but now we’re seeing what might be a first: the mandatory remaster of an older game to replace men with brown skanks.

Total War: Rome II was released in 2013 – 5 years ago. But a recent patch made sure to update the game to the current year’s political standards – like it or not.

One Angry Gamer:

Over the course of the year Creative Assembly have been updating Total War: Rome II, issuing balance patches, modifying certain maps, and changing some of the political leaders and generals in the game with retroactive modifications. One thing that gamers noticed is that half their generals and leaders began turning into females and that more and more of their generals started having darker skin tones. When the developer was called out for changing the game and that the company was trying to utilize historical revisionism to change demographics, Creative Assembly’s Ella McConnell responded by saying that their games are “historically authentic” not “historically accurate”.

Now that’s what I call authentic.

It’s not just the generals, apparently – it’s the troops as well. Women firing war bows is just about the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen. Do these retards know that war bows have draw weights over 100lbs? You think women can fire these things?

It all started back in August of 2018, when forum posts began popping up questioning why so many of their generals and leaders were magically turning into women? Some users made others aware via the review scores on the Steam page, with gamers like Chaos Puppy writing…

“When some fans voiced concerns that there were elements to Rome II that were grossely historically inaccurate, like over 50% of your generals women, Creative Assembly told their fans that their games were NOT hisotically accurate, and if they didn’t like it, not to buy it. So if you are looking for a simulation that tries to offer the strategies, tactics, and expereinces of antiquity, this game may not be for you.” [sic]

Chaos Puppy isn’t wrong, and actually provided a visual example of the issue, where a large pool of potential generals in the game are depicted as women of color.

Top kek.

The issue spilled over into the forums across multiple threads. In one thread that was eventually locked, community manager Ella McConnell made a post on August 13th, 2018 telling gamers that if they don’t like the generals and leaders being replaced with women, they can either get a mod, or stop playing, because Creative Assembly makes “historically authentic” games not “historically accurate” games…

“This thread is a mess so I’m locking it (and bans have been issued for those who repeatedly violated Steam community guidelines).

“As has been said previously: Total War games are historically authentic, not historically accurate – if having female units upsets you that much you can either mod them out or just not play.”

The target demographic of people who play historic war simulation games is obviously not a group of people who will take kindly to this kinds of SJW meddling with history for politic’s sake.

If they’d put a Black woman on their cover instead of a White man, I’d wager they’d have sold a lot fewer copies – and they know it.

They’re sacrificing their future sales by going this route.

But things like “catering to your audience” are of no importance to these soyboy faggots, who will gladly destroy their own business in order to gain good goy points.

What Kind of Lives Did Actual Barbarians Live? https://www.anglinarchive.com/2017/06/15/what-kind-of-lives-did-actual-barbarians-live/ Thu, 15 Jun 2017 00:00:00 +0000 weev

Over at Counter-Currents I saw a common assault against the values of WHITE SHARIA. Calling it “Whigger Sharia,” they allege it is an embrace of foreign ideals and barbarism:

What is it that compels those who are otherwise pro-white to resort to fetishizing the culture of barbarous foreign peoples? … We generally try to end such barbarity wherever we go – even when doing so does not directly benefit us.

In response to the ridiculous utterance that we are promoting anything to do with foreign culture I already wrote an essay describing our values as the general attitude towards women that prevailed in Europe from pre-Christian Greece and Rome to the end of the neo-Classical period in the 19th century. We want to restore coverture and domestic discipline, and abolish birth control and marital rape laws.

With over 1800 Facebook shares, it is the most well read and discussed document concerning the subject of all time. This point was then reiterated by Anglin in his essay “Revealing the Esoteric Nature of the White Sharia Meme” which is the second most well read and discussed document concerning the topic. Anyone claiming that we promote non-European culture is either woefully ignorant and we must question their intellect or is acting in utter dishonesty and we must question their motives.

Today, however, I am not here to lecture you about what traditional gender roles entail. I am here to give an urgently needed lesson in history, an education in which our critics suffer from a sore lack.

When one alleges that we are barbarous, a truthful answer to a single question may be uttered in refutation.

What kind of lives did actual barbarians live?

After we have answered this question, I believe that many of our readers and perhaps even our critics over at Counter Currents will be wonderfully enlightened.

The tribes the Greeks and Romans referred to as barbarians, Aristotle’s “belligerent nations,” had degrees of political equity for women unparalleled in white European society until the establishment of suffrage in the 20th century. Women used their political equity to garner vast political and economic influence, becoming loci for material wealth and common envoys to foreign civilizations.

Out of frustration with the cost of heterosexual relationships becoming excessively high and women bullying them with weird superstitions about faeries riding their accessory dogs, barbarian men frequently turned to homosexuality. The word barbarian was steeped in moral disgust. Most barbarians were weak faggots who could not control their women, and as a result were subjugated before the superior Roman physique and ingenuity.

Think I’m a liar with a sickening worldview corrupted by misogyny? Check the primary sources before you make your judgements.

Athenaeus: The Deipnosophists, Book 13:

And the Celts, too, although they have the most beautiful women of all the barbarians, still make great favourites of boys; so that some of them often go to rest with two lovers on their beds of hide.

Didorus Siculus, Book V:

Although their wives are comely, they have very little to do with them, but rage with lust, in outlandish fashion, for the embraces of males … And the most astonishing thing of all is that they feel no concern for their proper dignity, but prostitute to others without a qualm the flower of their bodies; nor do they consider this a disgraceful thing to do, but rather when anyone of them is thus approached and refuses the favour offered him, this they consider an act of dishonour.

Aristotle’s Politics II:

Again, the freedom in regard to women is detrimental both in regard to the purpose of the constitution and in regard to the happiness of the state. For just as man and wife are part of a household, it is clear that the state also is divided nearly in half into its male and female population, so that in all constitutions in which the position of the women is badly regulated one half of the state must be deemed to have been neglected in framing the law. And this has taken place in the state under consideration, for the lawgiver wishing the whole city to be of strong character displays his intention clearly in relation to the men, but in the case of the women has entirely neglected the matter; for they live dissolutely in respect of every sort of dissoluteness, and luxuriously.

So wait, you’re telling me that the barbarians were hugely influenced by women politically? That all their women were living in the lap of luxury via the fruits of their harlotry? That all their men were catamites because their women were so manipulative and rotten, and thus were too weak to keep themselves from being trivially conquered by the Romans?

Skanks having the time of their lives whilst their cities are conquered by foreigners? Never heard of this.

Wow, just wow. How progressive of the barbarians. They sound like perfect recipients of an Open Society Foundations grant. If those barbarians were here with us today most of their women would be into garbage like FEMEN and all the men would be passing through the Castro district of San Francisco.

The state of barbarians begs another question. How did the greatest and most culturally influential empire in all history manage its women in the same period?

Roman women were expected to wear veils as a symbol of the husband’s authority over his wife; a married woman who omitted the veil was seen as withdrawing herself from marriage. In 166 BC, consul Sulpicius Gallus divorced his wife because she had left the house unveiled, thus allowing all to see, as he said, what only he should see.

LOL.

If average Romans were alive today they’d be being harassed out of their jobs for offensive statements about women, niggers and kikes. They’d be ruined in family courts and charged with domestic abuse. They’d be telling women dressed like whores, “You look like a fucking pig in heat, and if you get raped by a pack of niggers, it will be your fault.”

So now that we know what the lives of most barbarians were like, we have a firm intellectual basis for a dialectic of gender politics based in barbarism against civilization.

If you think the political equity of women is a good idea, you are obligated to then praise Jews. Jews brought us the political equity of women. They were there every step of the way, ending two thousand years of continuous European civilization to “liberate” women from coverture, physical discipline and the consequences of harlotry and let them make whatever choices they want. Jews were responsible for forcing the conditions of barbarians upon us. I must give the Jews credit for this accomplishment. The barbarians are here, they’re queer, and they’re well past our gates.

I, unlike our critics, stand against barbarism. I stand against the progression of time. I say we should punish these skanks like they damn well deserve, turn them into property and build an intergalactic empire even greater than the glories of Rome. Now that we have answered two important questions of knowledge, I would ask two more of you of loyalty.

Will you stand with the coming empire against the barbarian hordes?

Will you stand with WHITE SHARIA?

Cincinnatus leaves the plow for the Roman dictatorship , Juan Antonio Ribera,

“Americans used classical symbols to communicate, to impress, and to persuade. They [derived] from the classics both models and antimodels of personal behavior, social practice, and government form. They [viewed] the study of the classics as an indispensible training in virtue…[T]hey derived from the classics a sense of identity and purpose that bound them together with one another and with their ancestors in a common struggle. They [drew] from the ancient poets and political theorists a pastoralism that glorified the rural, agricultural lifestyle. They [valued] the simplicity, ethics, and love of nature exhibited by classical authors and artists. In short, the classics [provided] Americans with one of their principle sets of ideological tools.”
Carl J. Richard, The Golden Age of the Classics in America

Up until the modern era, the study of classical authors was the foundation of education in the Western world. The classical canon included the works of Greek and Roman philosophers, poets, historians, playwrights, orators and mathematicians. The intellectual and artistic might of antiquity was imbibed by reading the truly great authors whose achievements had been esteemed for generations. This was the common heritage of the West, and indeed Western civilization itself arose from the Greco-Roman world. It is from the Greeks that we inherited the very dichotomy between civilization and barbarism, the category of civilization gradually expanding to include the Romans and then all of Europe. Western science and analytical thought also has its origins in Greece. Without these fundamental achievements of antiquity, our intellectual world would be entirely different, and many of our greatest triumphs as a people would have been impossible.

When Europeans began settling the North American continent, they brought the classical tradition with them. Colleges in the British colonies and early America focused almost entirely on the study of classical authors, and a demonstration of reading ability in Greek and Latin was the normal admission requirement. This was the case not only at the elite universities of the East, but also at newly founded institutions in the recently settled regions of the West. The distilled wisdom of the classical cannon and stark beauty of classical architecture was easily transported to the latest frontier outpost. In his book The Golden Age of the Classics in America Carl J. Richard quotes historian Walter Agard as saying,

The classics served to bring intellectual and aesthetic values to the brutally pragmatic frontier and…helped keep the vital traditions of Western Europe, supplementing the ones forged by the challenging new environment.

Within a few short years of its foundation a rough frontier town might boast a library well stocked with the great books of antiquity and civic buildings decorated with Greco-Roman columns and arches.

When the Founding Fathers broke away from British rule their vision for a new republic was heavily influenced by their classical education. They drew inspiration from the institutions of the Roman republic and from ancient political thinkers. They also used various leaders of antiquity as models for virtuous behavior. Two of the most important of these models were the Roman military leader Cincinnatus and the Athenian lawgiver Solon.

When Rome was threatend by its enemies Cincinnatus was granted emergency dictatorial powers in order to deal with the crisis. But rather than attempting to hold on to these powers for as long as possible, Cincinnatus immediately relinquished them as soon as the danger had passed, and then returned to his farm. This combination of modest agrarian living and willingness to selflessly undertake great burdens for the sake of the community became an ideal in early America, and was embodied by George Washington who voluntarily retired from political life and returned to his plantation at Mount Vernon.

Solon was known for the law code that he gave to Athens when the city was experiencing strife amongst different social classes. Rather than siding exclusively with the rich or the poor, Solon sought a compromise which would lead to the harmonious cooperation of the different classes of citizens. Solon claimed that his solution was not the best government possible, but the best government that the Athenians would receive. Many of the Founding Fathers took to heart this concept of “the best government possible”, and avoided the utopian madness of the Jacobin, the Bolshevik, or the Neocon, who believe that there is one perfect form of government for all mankind. Perhaps the most famous episode from Solon’s life is his visit to the court of Croesus, which is related by the Greek historian Herodotus. Croesus was the king of Lydia (located in current-day Turkey) and was seen by the Greeks as the epitome of oriental wealth and luxury:

Having there arrived he was entertained as a guest by Croesus in the king’s palace; and afterwards, on the third or fourth day, at the bidding of Croesus his servants led Solon round to see his treasuries; and they showed him all things, how great and magnificent they were: and after he had looked upon them all and examined them as he had occasion, Croesus asked him as follows: “Athenian guest, much report of thee has come to us, both in regard to thy wisdom and thy wanderings, how that in thy search for wisdom thou hast traversed many lands to see them; now therefore a desire has come upon me to ask thee whether thou hast seen any whom thou deemest to be of all men the most happy.” This he asked supposing that he himself was the happiest of men; but Solon, using no flattery but the truth only, said: “Yes, O king, Tellos the Athenian.” And Croesus, marvelling at that which he said, asked him earnestly: “In what respect dost thou judge Tellos to be the most happy?” And he said: “Tellos, in the first place, living while his native State was prosperous, had sons fair and good and saw from all of them children begotten and living to grow up; and secondly he had what with us is accounted wealth, and after his life a most glorious end: for when a battle was fought by the Athenians at Eleusis against the neighbouring people, he brought up supports and routed the foe and there died by a most fair death; and the Athenians buried him publicly where he fell, and honoured him greatly.”

Tellos was uniquely happy in that he both lived to see his children turn out well and also met a heroic end usually reserved for young men. To Solon happiness was not found in the enjoyment of wealth or luxury but in heroic glory and the raising of virtuous children to serve the community after one’s death. This focus on simple, virtuous living was well received in early America, a young nation that boasted a healthy, vigorous populace but lacked the wealth of the old world.

Another influence that prevented the Founding Fathers from adopting a utopian view of politics is the idea of cyclic bloom and decay found throughout ancient thought. Plato taught that political communities naturally decay with time, and the poet Hesiod related the famous myth of the four ages which begins with the idyllic golden age but inevitably degenerates into the brutal age of iron. This classical understanding of the cyclic nature of life is reflected in a passage from one of John Adams’ letters to Thomas Jefferson:

Will you tell me how to prevent riches from becoming the effects of temperance and industry? Will you tell me how to prevent riches from producing luxury? Will you tell me how to prevent luxury from producing effeminacy, intoxication, extravagance, vice, and folly?

This prescient statement from Adams perfectly explains the situation currently faced by America and the entire Western world, showing that the Founding Fathers were not as naive as many modern day patriots who believe in the eternal perfection of the American system.

The abondonment of classical education is likely one of the major factors that has contributed to our rapid decline. According to Richard, the “golden age” of the classics in America ended after the war between the states, and since then the curricula at our schools has moved further and further away from the study of Greek and Latin texts. Cut off from the elegance of classical poetry and oratory, our public discourse has become increasingly base and unsophisticated, while our ignorance of the history and wisdom of Western civilization has left us open to accepting egregious Jewish lies about the past and about human nature.

Much electronic ink has been spilled on the question of how to build an intellectually vigorous resistance to modernity. Many contemporary nationalists who are too uneducated to have been admitted into an early American university complain that America lacks a tradition of high culture, and they seek vainly for novelty solutions to the problem of intellectually reviving the West, when the clear answer to this challenge is right in front of us. The intellectual fortress and armory of Western civilization is our classical heritage. This was the high culture of America during its greatest period, and will undoubtedly play an integral role in our renaissance.
