Well, now. A lot of this global warming stuff seems kooky.

But this just seems like common sense.

The Guardian:

Scientists are working on an unusual plan to prevent Antarctic glaciers from melting. They want to build a set of giant underwater curtains in front of ice sheets to protect them from being eroded by warm sea water.

Ice in polar regions is now disappearing at record rates as global warming intensifies, and urgent action is needed to slow down this loss, the international group of scientists has warned.

Their proposed solution is the construction of a 100km-long curtain that would be moored to the bed of the Amundsen Sea. It would rise by about 200 metres from the ocean floor and would partially restrict the inflow of relatively warm water that laps at the bases of coastal Antarctic glaciers and undermines them.

The Seabed Curtain project, if implemented, would be one of the biggest geo-engineering programmes ever undertaken. “It would be a giant project – but then we face a gigantic problem,” glaciologist John Moore of Lapland University told the Observer last week

“The melting of glaciers in Antarctica would could trigger catastrophic flooding around the planet and result in hundreds of millions of people losing their homes. That will be incredibly bad for civilisation as we know it, so we need to do something.”

The curtain proposed by Moore – who is working with scientists at the University of Cambridge and other centres in the US – would stretch along the seabed opposite the Thwaites and Pine Island glaciers. These act as plugs that prevent the giant ice sheets behind them from sliding into the ocean.

Scientists warn that the loss of the Thwaites and Pine Island glaciers could be enough to raise sea levels round the world by three metres if they melted, a prospect now considered to be a real threat as global warming takes a grip of the region and causes sea temperatures to rise.

It all seems very reasonable.

Further, it sounds like something out of an HP Lovecraft story.

Watch: UFO Expert Shows Alleged Mummified Alien Corpses With Eggs Inside to Mexico’s Congress https://www.anglinarchive.com/2023/09/13/watch-ufo-expert-shows-alleged-mummified-alien-corpses-with-eggs-inside-to-mexicos-congress/ Wed, 13 Sep 2023 00:00:00 +0000

The remains of alleged ‘non-human’ beings have been presented to a hearing in Mexico’s Congress investigating claims of alien life 👽 pic.twitter.com/mHLg2frBIq

— Al Jazeera English (@AJEnglish) September 13, 2023

Oh yeah, sure – this seems real.

Oh, yeah.

Wow.

New York Post:

Mexican politicians were shown two mummified corpses this week that a UFO expert claimed are “a clear demonstration” of “non-human” aliens.

The two bodies — with only three fingers on each hand and elongated ET-style heads — were displayed in windowed boxes Tuesday for a public congressional hearing on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs).

The corpses are between 700 and 1,800 years old — with X-rays showing one has mysterious “eggs” inside, ufologist Jaime Maussan told the hearing.

“These specimens are not part of our terrestrial evolution,” Maussan said of supposed DNA testing on the small figures, according to Marca.

“These aren’t beings that were found after a UFO wreckage. They were found in diatom (algae) mines, and were later fossilized”, he said.

“This is the first time it (extraterrestrial life) is presented in such a form and I think there is a clear demonstration that we are dealing with non-human specimens that are not related to any other species in our world.”

The ancient specimens, which were retrieved from Cusco, Peru, in 2017, are believed to be between 700 and 1,800 years old, the hearing was told.

Scientists recently studying the UFO specimens at the Autonomous National University of Mexico (UNAM) were able to extract DNA evidence from the specimens using radiocarbon dating, Maussan explained.

All these UFO freaks are in Mexico these days.

Even Tucker Carlson couldn’t make Americans care about it.

Archeologists Find New Corridor in Great Pyramid of Giza https://www.anglinarchive.com/2023/03/02/archeologists-find-new-corridor-in-great-pyramid-of-giza/ Thu, 02 Mar 2023 00:00:00 +0000

How is it possible that there are still hidden passages in the pyramids?

Haven’t they been using ground penetrating radar on these things for decades?

Reuters:

A hidden corridor nine metres (30 feet) long has been discovered close to the main entrance of the 4,500-year-old Great Pyramid of Giza, and this could lead to further findings, Egyptian antiquities officials said on Thursday.

The discovery within the pyramid, the last of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still standing, was made under the Scan Pyramids project that since 2015 has been using non-invasive technology including infrared thermography, 3D simulations and endoscopes to peer inside the structure.

The Great Pyramid was constructed as a monumental tomb around 2560 BC during the reign of the Pharaoh Khufu, or Cheops. Built to a height of 146 metres (479 feet), it was the tallest structure made by humans until the Eiffel Tower in Paris in 1889.

The unfinished corridor was likely created to redistribute the pyramid’s weight around either the main entrance, almost 7 metres away, or on another as yet undiscovered chamber or space, said Mostafa Waziri, head of Egypt’s Supreme Council of Antiquities.

…

In 2017, Scan Pyramids researchers announced the discovery of a void at least 30 metres long inside the Great Pyramid, the first major inner structure found since the 19th century

It’s certainly interesting, though I’m not sure I know what the implications are.

Does it mean that documentary I like was right?

Because yeah what about the water marks on the sphinx?

I mean, no one explained that, ever.

Jurassic Park NOW: The Science Says Reviving Extinct Species is Possible https://www.anglinarchive.com/2022/02/19/jurassic-park-now-the-science-says-reviving-extinct-species-is-possible/ Sat, 19 Feb 2022 00:00:00 +0000

Finally, The Science is planning to do something other than control our lives and exterminate us!

Jurassic Park NOW!

Honestly, since we know viruses are a hoax, releasing dinosaurs to kill everyone would be the best option. Really, that’s even better than a nuclear war.

The Guardian:

Researchers at DNA Zoo Australia have mapped the genome of the numbat for the first time. The milestone is notable in its own right, motivated by a desire to improve conservation efforts for the endangered termite-eating marsupial, which is now found only in small pockets of Western Australia.

But in announcing the development last week, scientists also had a more extraordinary suggestion: that the numbat’s DNA could be used as a blueprint to bring its extinct cousin, the thylacine, back from the dead.

The last known Tasmanian tiger died in 1936, but the apex predator – which once also roamed the Australian mainland and Kangaroo Island – continues to beguile and obsess even in extinction.

It seems hard to imagine that the carnivorous marsupials might once again roam the Apple Isle in future, but recent advances in gene-editing technology have scientists convinced that de-extinction is no longer confined to the realm of science fiction. Can we really revive a species from extinction, and if so, should we?

One de-extinction avenue scientists are exploring is to take the genome of a living species and edit its DNA to more closely resemble that of an extinct relative.

The first step in this process requires an intact genetic blueprint of the extinct animal, says Prof Andrew Pask at the University of Melbourne. In 2017, Pask’s team sequenced the thylacine genome from a juvenile specimen held in Museums Victoria’s collection. “It’s one of the best genome builds we have for an extinct animal,” he says.

“It’s in lots of little tiny pieces when we get it from an extinct specimen, so the DNA is broken up.

“The problem with any mammal genome, not just the thylacine … is that half of our genome is made up of repeat sequences,” Pask says – repeating patterns of A, C, G and T nucleotide bases. “Those bits are really hard to put back together when you’re building your puzzle, particularly because we don’t have the picture on the box of the puzzle – we don’t know what [the thylacine genome] is meant to look like.”

This is where the numbat genome could be helpful. Numbats and thylacines had a common ancestor that lived about 35m to 41m years ago – “not a long time in the evolutionary timescale”, says Parwinder Kaur, the director of DNA Zoo Australia and an associate professor at the University of Western Australia.

Kaur estimates numbats and thylacines share 95% of their DNA, and that the living marsupial’s genome could be used as a reference to fill in the gaps for the thylacine, for which “we don’t have a complete blueprint”.

…

Pask adds: “We then need to be able to turn a marsupial DNA-containing cell into a living marsupial, and we don’t have that technology developed yet either.”

Another way to bring a species back from the dead is to clone it, à la Dolly the sheep, using a method called somatic cell nuclear transfer. The process involves taking a nucleus – the structure containing the genome – from the cell of an extinct animal and inserting it into an egg of a living relative species, which has had its own nucleus removed.

It relies on intact cells from the extinct species, so is only practical when the last animal has recently died – which effectively rules the method out for thylacines.

Scientists have already used the technique successfully, although the triumph was short-lived. In 2003, researchers cloned a Pyrenean ibex, a subspecies of the Iberian wild goat that went extinct when Celia, the last living individual, was killed by a falling tree. The team successfully cloned Celia, reviving the subspecies from extinction for several minutes, before the newborn animal died of a lung defect.

The aptly named Lazarus project, led by Prof Mike Archer, a palaeontologist at the University of New South Wales, is taking a similar approach to try to bring back the southern gastric-brooding frog. The last known specimen of the frog, which was native to Queensland, died in 1983, but the team have some well-preserved tissues.

Though the project has successfully produced early-stage embryos, no clones so far have survived to tadpoles or adult frogs.

Forget the frogs and goats.

We want DINOSAURS.

You can get the DNA from mosquitoes stuck in syrup.

I’ve seen this in the movie Jurassic Park.

I also read the books, which I recommend. I actually recommend all of Michael Crichton’s books, but I do not really recommend his film Runaway (1984), even though it has Tom Selleck. I watched this film recently and I was like “wow, this is really garbage, I don’t even know what the heck he was trying to do here.”

Westworld is great though. I mean the film he made. Not the show. The first season of the show was “meh,” sort of like some Lost type shit. I guess I wouldn’t necessarily say I hated the first season of the show. But the movie is great.

Crichton wasn’t a horrible director. But he was a much better novelist.

He was also a global warming denier, by the way. Just for the record.

Please note: this is all based on the shaky premise that dinosaurs actually existed.

Scientists Find a New Piece of a Rock, Make Wide-Ranging Claims Regarding It https://www.anglinarchive.com/2021/03/28/scientists-find-a-new-piece-of-a-rock-make-wide-ranging-claims-regarding-it/ Sun, 28 Mar 2021 03:00:17 +0000

If you’re wondering where they come up with these dates, well then, you’re not the only one wondering about that.

Study Finds:

Archaeologists consider Oldowan and Acheulean stone tools to be the oldest existing examples of ancient technology. Now, a new study finds these prehistoric tools are likely older than anyone thinks. Researchers the University of Kent’s School of Anthropology and Conservation say the stone relics may be tens of thousands of years older than the original estimates.

Study authors say these new findings change a whole lot for archeologists. They may provide a new “chronological foundation” by which to understand how early humans began creating and producing stone tools. This new timeline also raises questions about the evolution of humanity’s technological capabilities. Rewriting the evolutionary timeline may also change the technological connection to dietary and behavioral changes that occurred simultaneously.

Pictured: Acheulean “hand axes.”

Researchers used newly devised statistical modeling methods to reach these new conclusions. It’s a notable leap forward, considering scientists have only recently introduced these techniques to the archeological world.

According to the new models, Oldowan stone tools originated between 2.617 and 2.644 million years ago. That’s anywhere from 36,000 to 63,000 years earlier than the currently accepted evidence indicates. Meanwhile, study authors estimate Acheulean tools appeared between 1.815 and 1.823 million years ago (at least 55,000 years earlier than believed).

…

“Our research provides the best possible estimates for understanding when hominins first produced these stone tool types. This is important for multiple reasons, but for me at least, it is most exciting because it highlights that there are likely to be substantial portions of the artifact record waiting to be discovered,” says lead study author Dr. Alastair Key, a Paleolithic Archaeologist, in a university release.

They just put this sort of thing out there, and just expect people to accept it.

“Oh, these tools are 36,000 years old – oh no, actually, they’re 3 million years old, maybe!”

But whichever thing they are saying you’re supposed to accept at the time that they say it and simply say “oh that’s fascinating.”

No mask, one mask, two mask, three mask – just follow the science!

The actual reality is that science does not “say” anything. Science is a method of inquiry.

We were all supposed to learn this in I think third grade.

The entire earth is covered with gigantic stone structures that archaeologists claim were built by apelike cave creatures.

Have you heard of Saqsaywaman?

It’s this:

It’s built on top of a mountain.

Those stones are fitted so well together, you can’t slide a piece of paper between them.

This is what conquistador Francisco Pizarro wrote of it:

Pn top of a hill they [the Inca] had a very strong fort surrounded with masonry walls of stones and having two very high round towers. And in the lower part of this wall there were stones so large and thick that it seemed impossible that human hands could have set them in place…they were so close together, and so well fitted, that the point of a pin could not have been inserted in one of the joints. The whole fortress was built up in terraces and flat spaces.

Much of the structure was taken apart by the Spanish at the time, but look at what is there now:

It looks like the base of a massive structure, which could have been built hundreds of thousands or millions of years ago, and collapsed over time.

So-called “science” claims that the people who were living in the structure when the Spanish arrived must have been the ones that built it. That they built it in the 15th century.

The “Incas.”

That is, these people:

Who more recently built this:

I’m not trying to make fun. Indio mountain people are actually kind folks, they’re a bit like Filipinos or something. They’re much more pleasant than the “latinos” that pour across the Southern border.

But the average IQ of Peru is 82, which is slightly lower than American blacks. The idea that they built these gigantic stone structures, using some method that we still can’t explain today, is facially absurd.

I just picked one random example here. There are gigantic stone structures all over the world. And you cannot date a rock, using any method of dating.

Nb4 “Brilliant and enlightened female genius figures out a way to date a rock.”

(Editor’s Note: I told you guys – we’re doing jokes, okay? We’re bringing back jokes. So you can just choke on that one.)

This entire narrative of history is just clearly false.

There was a global civilization that built these stone buildings, and we have no idea how long ago it was.

All this stuff they come out with about “oh, we found a rock” is just to keep with this false narrative that humans were living in caves, then farms, now cities, and that you are now at the peak of civilization. You are not at the peak of civilization. You are at the tipping point of a collapsing empire made of plastic and birth control pills.

Ancient Mayans were so advanced that they managed to change the climate without flying in planes and driving cars!

Daily Mail:

Ancient Mayan farmers may have triggered their own version of climate change and contributed to their own demise, according to researchers.

Scientists have found evidence in Belize that the Central American people used to dig canals and wetlands and to have regular burns while farming their land.

The latest discoveries suggest the Mayans, between 1,800 and 1,000 years ago, had a bigger impact on their environment than previously thought.

And they may even have worsened conditions to such an extent it contributed to the droughts thought to have wiped out the civilisation.

Farming was a problem?

Even the vegan diet changes the climate.

Researchers from the University of Texas have suggested their theory based on aerial scans and imaging of the legacy Mayan farmland left underground.

They discovered that a wetland known as the Birds of Paradise wetland, in northwestern Belize, was five times as big as had been believed.

And they also found another similar complex which was even larger.

The wetlands had irrigation ditches and canals built into them and sometimes forest was destroyed to make way for them.

These processes were made more extreme as the Mayans tried to adapt to a changing climate – mainly rising sea levels – about 1,800 years ago.

They mean the changing climate that was without a doubt caused by them or by other people — obviously.

The weather just doesn’t change unless humans do something to change it.

Although they were useful in controlling water and preserving it to use during droughts, passages in the wetlands contained plants which produced high levels of methane, a greenhouse gas.

And the farmers also pumped carbon dioxide into the air by burning vegetation to clear space for their canals.

‘We now are beginning to understand the full human imprint [on] tropical forests,’ said Dr Tim Beach, the lead author of the study

‘These large and complex wetland networks may have changed climate long before industrialization, and… even these small changes may have warmed the planet.

‘[This] provides a sobering perspective for the order of magnitude greater changes over the last century that are accelerating into the future.’

Dr Beach and his colleagues even suggested the intensive landscape changes may have been the beginning of the current way of the world, in which humankind has the biggest sway over the natural environment – the Anthropocene.

As you can see, the Climate Balance is so frail that pretty much anything humans do other than existing as isolated Amazon tribes results in Climate Change and Climate Apocalypse.

The solution, obviously, is to give up all forms of civilization and live like monkeys in the jungle, because even farming itself is able to warm the planet and burn everyone to death.

The recently sighted Imperial Star Destroyer UFO.

Someone has the technology behind these unidentified flying objects and is driving around letting us know.

We could try saying hi.

Popular Mechanics:

The U.S. Navy has confirmed that three online videos purportedly showing UFOs are genuine. The service says the videos, taken by Navy pilots, show “unexplained aerial phenomena,” but also states that the clips should have never been released to the public in the first place.

The three videos in question are titled “FLIR1,” “Gimbal,” and “GoFast.” They show two separate encounters between Navy aircraft and UFOs.

One video was taken in 2015 off the East Coast by a F/A-18F fighter jet using the aircraft’s onboard Raytheon AN/ASQ-228 Advanced Targeting Forward-Looking Infrared (ATFLIR) Pod. The other clip, also recorded with a Super Hornet ATFLIR pod, was taken off the coast of California in 2004 by pilots flying from the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz. In the videos, air crews loudly debate what the objects are and where they came from.

The videos were released for public viewing by The New York Times and To The Stars Academy of Arts & Sciences, a UFO research group from former Blink-182 member Tom DeLonge.

In each case, the objects in the videos undertook aerial maneuvers that aren’t possible with current aviation technology. In the 2004 incident, according to The New York Times, the objects “appeared suddenly at 80,000 feet, and then hurtled toward the sea, eventually stopping at 20,000 feet and hovering. Then they either dropped out of radar range or shot straight back up.”

Joseph Gradisher, official spokesperson for the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Information Warfare, told The Black Vault, an online repository of secret and otherwise classified documents, that the Navy “designates the objects contained in these videos as unidentified aerial phenomena.”

That terminology is important. “Unidentified Aerial Phenomena” provides “the basic descriptor for the sightings/observations of unauthorized/unidentified aircraft/objects that have been observed entering/operating in the airspace of various military-controlled training ranges,” Gradisher told The Black Vault.

There’s another article taking a closer look at the incidents from the released videos.

Popular Mechanics:

The U.S. Navy has officially confirmed that three leaked videos indeed show what the service calls “unexplained aerial phenomena” (UAP). The clips, taken by Navy pilots between 2004 and 2015, show objects that pilots claim performed aerial maneuvers and moved at speeds impossible for known aircraft to accomplish. Here’s everything we know about the objects.

First, there were at least two different UFOs/UAPs involved in the Navy sightings. In a 2017 New York Times interview, retired U.S. Navy Commander David Fravnor said the flying object that he observed from the cockpit of his F/A-18F Super Hornet in 2004 was “around 40 feet long and oval in shape,” and described it as similar to a Tic Tac.

Lieutenant Ryan Graves, another Super Hornet pilot, told the Times that the objects he saw in 2014 and and 2015 looked like a “sphere encasing a cube.” These sightings could be of two separate objects or a single object viewed from different perspectives.

Fravor also reported seeing a second object during his encounter that was the size of a Boeing 737 sitting just below the wavetops, with waves breaking over the top. Fravor spotted the Tic Tac-like object hovering over the larger UAP.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel “Cheeks” Kurth, another Marine Corps Hornet pilot, described seeing “a round section of turbulent water about 50 [to] 100 meters in diameter.” Kurth called the area “whitewater,” and said it “looked as if there was something below the surface like a shoal, or what he’d heard a ship sinking rapidly would look like,” according to Fighter Sweep.

Are the UFOs coming out of Atlantis?

Are they coming from inside the Earth?

How long have they been here?

Who are they?

The objects were detected with a variety of means. Fravnor and other pilots saw the UAPs with their own eyes, while the radar operators aboard the nearby guided missile cruiser USS Princeton observed the objects for “several weeks” with their SPY-1 radar system.

Fravnor couldn’t detect the craft with his APG-73 radar, but Graves was able to do so in 2015 with his new APG-79 active electronically scanned array radar. The APG-79 has increased sensitivity and processing power over the older radar system.

The three publicly released videos, nicknamed “FLIR1,” “Gimbal,” and “GoFast,” were all taken using the AN/ASQ-228 Advanced Targeting Forward-Looking Infrared (ATFLIR) pod. In “Gimbal,” the infrared pod clearly sees a “hot,” whistle-shaped object that pilots say is going against a 120 knot wind. Graves told the Times that the infrared sensor on his CATM-9 training missile also picked up the missile.

All in all, the objects were observed by multiple sensors per sighting: the naked eye, radar, and infrared, ruling out a sensor malfunction as the cause of the sightings. Fravor saw the objects with his own eyes, and they were also seen by the Princeton and the ATFLIR pods.

It may be possible that the ATFLIR pods malfunctioned and depicted objects that weren’t really there, but that makes less sense considering the objects were only detected in these three instances (that we know of) and are otherwise used on a daily basis. If there was a malfunction, why was it only when objects had already been detected by the human eye, radar, and other infrared detection systems?

Because coincidence, of course.

There’s as much reason to believe that the beings behind these flying objects are from outside Earth than to believe they’re from inside Earth. There’s a lot of unexplained, mysterious and suspicious stuff on the surface of the planet that suggests that our history is not exactly what we were told it was.

What better way to get some answers than to ask for some answers?

Instead of speculating, let’s build some big-ass sign somewhere saying hi to these flying things.

Maybe also add a short bit like “please remove Jews,” because why not?

If you’re like most people, you don’t really care about ants. You may not even think about ants in your day-to-day life and you don’t think twice when an ant crosses your path.

But what if the ant starts looking at you and following you around waving weird signs reading “kill the jawnts pls”?

Would you be surprised that ants were able to communicate in that way?

Would you be interested in hearing what the ant has to say?
