A Florida judge has sentenced a teen to two years of probation for vandalizing an LGBTQ crosswalk in Delray Beach and took away his driver’s license. Dylan Brewer, 19, of Clearwater, pleaded guilty Wednesday to one count of reckless driving and criminal mischief. He was accused of intentionally damaging a rainbow-colored mural after doing burnouts, court documents show.

Palm Beach County Judge Daliah Weiss also revoked his driver’s license for one year, ordered him to pay a $5,568.71 fine to Delray Beach, perform a total of 150 hours of community service, and complete eight hours of anger management classes, per the Palm Beach Post.

During sentencing, Judge Weiss asked Brewer to explain his understanding of the seriousness of this case. The teen offered an apology.

“It was not my intention to cause any harm outside of having some fun with friends,” Brewer told the judge. “I do realize now the harm that was caused afterwards towards the community, and I’m very sorry for my actions and putting my family and the court through this.”

Rand Hoch, founder of Palm Beach County Human Rights Council, one of two groups that paid for the $17,000 LGBTQ+ mural, spoke before the Court Wednesday, expressing his discontent with the plea deal provided to Brewer. He later released a statement saying, “Brewer’s light sentence will do little to deter other anti-LGBTQ+ hatemongers from attacking our community in the future.”

On February 4, 2024, Delray Beach Police alleged Brewer used his Dodge Ram pickup truck to perform multiple “burnouts” at the rainbow-colored crosswalk at Northeast First Street and Northeast Second Avenue.

Hoch told Judge Weiss that Brewer had “committed a crime against our community, the LGBTQ community.”

“He went through the intersection not once, not twice, but three times in a retrofitted vehicle that caused great damage to our community,” Hoch said, adding, “We now feel threatened when we are in Delray Beach, which is sad because it’s a very open community.”

This is considered blasphemy in America.

There is very much a religion about worshiping black people and homosexuals.

This rainbow flag actually has black and brown lines on it, despite the fact that rainbows do not include those colors.

An 18-year-old Florida man was arrested by St. Petersburg Police on July 1 for doing burnouts with his vehicle that left skid marks on a rainbow “Pride” mural in May.

According to law enforcement, Christian Maier was caught on video damaging a pro-LGBT street painting on May 22 at 2:40 a.m. The crosswalk experienced a similar act of protest just five days earlier on May 17 at 9:30 a.m. Police say the two incidents are not related.

Maier was released from Pinellas County Jail after posting a $5,500 bond. He pleaded not guilty to two felony charges for criminal mischief and racing on a street. The mischief charge was originally a misdemeanor but later deemed a felony due to the damages exceeding $1,000. Maier has not been charged with a hate crime at this time.

Acts of protests like the one carried out by Maier are seemingly becoming a common occurrence in the United States. As reported by LifeSite in June, three teenage boys in Spokane, Washington could face up to five years in jail and up to $10,000 in fines for putting skid marks on a rainbow-colored street mural with their scooters. Three other acts of vandalism, all unrelated, have been carried out on the mural since October 2023.

The Tampa Bay Times has likewise reported that a 19-year-old male was arrested for allegedly defacing a rainbow “Pride” mural in Delray Beach in March.

Yeah, the good news is, kids are getting sick of having this forced down their throats.

Lime, a transportation company which rents electric scooters and bikes to pedestrians, is implementing a “no go zone” around a crosswalk painted with a large Progress Pride flag mural in Spokane, Wash., the company told The National Desk (TND) Friday.

Police in Spokane recently announced the arrests of four suspects accused of defacing the mural. Officers said they received a call Wednesday of suspects on scooters damaging the mural. When they arrived at the scene, officers say they were able to witness the vandalism first-hand.

The Pride mural had “widespread damage” according to police, including “black scuff marks consistent with scooter wheels.” Police noted the mural had recently been repainted to undo other damage to the flag.

Photos shared with the police report show the mural marked by at least 14 black skid marks.

One adult suspect is in police custody for 1st Degree Malicious Mischief, which is a Class B felony in Wash. Two other minors are in juvenile detention on the same charge.

In response to the incident, Lime implemented a “no go zone” over the crosswalk. Lime vehicles “aren’t authorized to travel in no go zones,” which it marks with red shading on its app. Entering a “no go zone” will cause a Lime vehicle to “gradually come to a stop,” according to its website, forcing a rider to walk their scooter until it is outside the zone.

This has a lot of implications about the future.

Police are investigating after drivers left tire marks on a Pride crosswalk in St. Petersburg, Florida in two instances over the last two weeks. The first a car accelerated through the intersection and the second time a driver did donuts on the pride mural.

The St. Petersburg Police Department released a statement about the recent incidents and wrote in a Facebook post, “Over the last week, two different vehicles have left tire marks damaging the Progressive Pride street mural at the 2500 Central Avenue roundabout.”

“The first occurred on May 17th at 9:36 am when a truck accelerated through the mural. The second incident happened on May 22nd at 2:41 am involving a blue two-door vehicle doing doughnuts on the mural. Investigators have no reason to believe the incidents are related,” the statement added. “It’s going to cost the City of St. Petersburg $1100 to restore. The City aims to have the mural repainted in time for Pride month festivities.”

If you’re going to force this anal stuff on people, some people are going to be mad.
