I don’t think young people are aware of this, but in American history, there used to be generational cultural differences. Young people had music, slang, and esoteric cultural memes that were unique, that older people were not aware of.

This is no longer the case. Because of the internet, and the fact that everyone is on the same platforms, younger generations, including gen Z (these people are like 30 now, by the way) and the generation younger than them, which I believe is called “gen Q,” have cultural and social cues that are just watered down versions of millennialisms.

Everything I see from younger people on the internet is just progressively sanitized versions of stuff I saw on /b/ in 2004. It’s sickening.

Sometimes there is new slang, but it’s not clear where it originates from, and everyone of all age groups starts using it at the same time. Paul Skallas, who I believe is the core philosopher of the 21st century, has said that we are trapped in 2004.

Robot says:

Paul Skallas is a writer and commentator known for his theory that culture became “stuck” around 2004, a concept he popularized through social media. He posits that this period marked a significant shift where the monoculture fractured, leading to a lack of overarching cultural narratives and preventing substantive changes in pop culture. According to Skallas, this stagnation is evident in the entertainment industry, where content often feels recycled, with sequels, remakes, and nostalgic themes dominating the landscape. He has suggested that the mid-2000s, particularly around 2004 or 2006, was a pivotal moment when the cultural landscape shifted toward a state of repetition and diminished innovation. While he acknowledges the decentralization of media and the rise of the internet as potential contributing factors, he admits the exact cause remains unclear.

The cause is sort of unclear, but it is also obvious that it is the internet. We are all in the same space now.

As a millennial, I was a member of the last generation to grow up with a culture that was not internet based. At least as a younger teenager. By the time I was 20, it was all the internet. But before that, there was a difference in culture among young people. I remember my father trying to use youth slang, which is normal enough, and using it in the wrong way. That is now impossible. Everyone on the internet is in the same monoculture.

There is some element of this that isn’t bad. Historically, like as in, a long time ago, people lived the same lives as their grandparents. And their great great great grandparents. This was before the Industrial Revolution. After the Industrial Revolution, you had major technological advancements that caused cultural changes every generation, which left grandparents feeling very alienated by all the alien shit their grandkids were into. It is obviously better to have a consistency of culture.

Well, it’s good to have a consistency of culture if it is medieval culture. If it is 2004 bland and nihilistic horseshit hedonism, it is really not that great to have it as a stagnant culture.

It is assumed that young people added things like “take the L” or “posting the W” to the slang. But when I see that, I think “what is this boomer tripe? What a stupid phrase.” Further, there is no evidence that young people made these phrases. They used it on TikTok and whatever, but no one knows who comes up with these things, and people of all ages, including boomers, will pick up on these language additions and use them.

If there is a change, it is that young people are less edgy and less hip. They are worse than even millennials (who I think are worse than boomers), because there is no room for creativity on the internet, and so all young people do is recycle millennial material and make it gayer and more retarded.

I have no idea what the implications of this are, and unlike I usually do, I am not going to draw some kind of insight or meaningful conclusion about the nature of this phenomenon. I think it probably means nothing good or bad can happen, nothing new at all can happen, youth energy doesn’t really exist in the way it previously did. I don’t think going to punk rock shows and taking acid and jumping around and having sex in the bathroom was a good thing. And maybe it wasn’t that much different than what boomers were doing, just with worse music. But there was a break with the previous generation, which meant that there was at least potential room for something new that was good to emerge. I think it is now impossible for anything new and good to emerge from the youth.

The youth are now against Israel, of course, but so is everyone who isn’t old.

These Gallup numbers don’t separate the age groups meaningfully.

The 35-54 age group is much too wide. Of the 23% of that group that have a positive view of Bibi, I would think the overwhelming majority of the supporters would be between 45 and 54, whereas 35-44 would have the same opinion as 18-34.

There would be some differences in generations, because the younger the generation, the less white it is. So it will be different on some things, when measured by age alone. I don’t know or care what is going on with immigrants or black people. I assume they are against Israel, when it comes to this particular topic, and that’s fine, but in general, their opinions do not matter to me.

One thing I don’t know is how the browning of America will affect culture. I assume it will not be good. But also, I think younger whites, particularly men, are feeling under attack, which will lead to you know, whatever.

I understand this article is not good or important. But I think the basic observations are important, and possibly something that people are not really noticing. But we are stagnant. There is nothing new coming from the youth. Everything is just being recycled and made shittier in the process.

It is boring and disgusting.

To be clear, I do not think the decay is a result of technology, but simply enabled by it. The fact that everyone is on the same level and in the same space together could mean that young people would be bringing older people forward in a positive direction, but instead the opposite is happening, with terms like “take the L” being used by men in their forties, despite the fact that they suck, while teenagers listen to early 00s indie rock, despite the fact that it sucks. Everything just spirals towards the lowest common denominator, with all of the worst traits of millennials being promoted, and millennials adopting the worst traits of the younger generations. Millennials did not have “woke” as youths. We could say “faggot” and “nigger” without people throwing a fit. But then, in their thirties, millennials became the hardest core fighters for wokeism, apparently feeling it was the hip young trend?

Now, teenagers listen to Joe Rogan and get convinced that Peter Thiel, the guy running the AI targeting system for the Israelis, giving lectures on the Antichrist, is somehow not concerning and may in fact be totally normal. Meanwhile, every male of every age is chronically masturbating and no one has connected this to the testosterone plunge, and the last thing on anyone’s mind is ███████ and ███████ ████.

I Hadn’t Seen This Ronald Reagan “Diversity is Our Greatest Strength” Speech https://www.anglinarchive.com/2025/07/05/i-hadnt-seen-this-ronald-reagan-diversity-is-our-greatest-strength-speech/ Sat, 05 Jul 2025 00:00:00 +0000

Ronald Reagan on why immigrants make America great: “You can go to live in France, but you cannot become a Frenchman. You can go to live in Germany or Turkey or Japan, but you cannot become a German, a Turk, or a Japanese. But anyone, from any corner of the Earth, can come to… pic.twitter.com/sp4TlvHvsp

— Republicans against Trump (@RpsAgainstTrump) December 26, 2024

It doesn’t surprise me, but I hadn’t seen it. Ronald Reagan gave a speech about how diversity is our greatest strength and how anyone in the world can become an American.

Reagan is seen as the avatar of conservatism. Every single one of these people references Reagan. He was actually a horrible persona and a horrible president.

So I’m not surprised he did the “anyone can be an American” thing.

The requirement to become an American?

To believe in freedom.

Have you ever heard of a person who is “against freedom”?

Even in North Korea, Kim gives speeches about the importance of freedom.

Everyone on earth is pro-freedom, in the same way everyone on earth is pro-food.

If believing in freedom means you’re an American in waiting, then everyone on earth is already an American, they are just waiting to get their papers.

That means America is not actually a country. I don’t think it’s right to say it’s “an idea” either, because that doesn’t even make sense. It’s not an idea, it’s a place. Ideas are not physical objects in the way a mass of land is. But if everyone on earth has a right to become an American, and therefore de facto already is an American, there is no such thing as an American.

What they will try to say when you say a country can’t be an idea is that members of the nation hold a set of ideas and that’s what defines them as part of the same nation. It’s nothing to do with race. And it’s not ideas around religion. Or any kind of politics.

These same people will say “Americans can disagree with one another.”

You just have to believe in freedom, and you can define that freedom however you want.

I don’t know why Reagan was a saint to the boomers. I read a short book about him years ago, but it was written by a leftist. I know he deregulated everything and there were some good things about that along with all of the overwhelmingly negative things about that. Like, sometimes when I’m depressed, I watch 1980s cartoons, and before Reagan, most of these cartoons were illegal because they were advertisements for toys and advertising to kids was regulated.

I think mainly it was just an incredibly wealthy period in American history which happened to coincide with the collapse of communism. It was the beginning of the boomers lighting everything on fire and just burning it all down.

And the poison ideology that “everyone on earth is an American in waiting” is really at the core of boomerism. The boomers were a very selfish people, and they really liked goofy, saccharine feel-good gibberish like “America is the greatest country on earth.”

Trump Says America to be an “Enlarged Country Pretty Soon” https://www.anglinarchive.com/2025/01/27/trump-says-america-to-be-an-enlarged-country-pretty-soon/ Mon, 27 Jan 2025 00:00:00 +0000

Trump: We may be a very substantially enlarged country in the not too distant— Isn’t it nice to see — for years, decades, we’re the same size to the square-foot, probably got smaller actually but we might be an enlarged country pretty soon. pic.twitter.com/K255p9Se0i

The Danes are losing their shit because their precious “Greenland” is about to be totally annexed.

RT:

The US could acquire new territories in the near future, President Donald Trump has told a crowd of supporters.

In recent weeks, Trump has expressed ambitions to expand US territory and showed interest in annexing Greenland, Canada, and the Panama Canal.

“We might be an enlarged country pretty soon,” Trump said in a speech in Las Vegas on Saturday.

“For years, for decades, we were the same size to the square foot… probably got smaller, actually,” he said, adding that this could change “soon.”

In a recent phone conversation with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, Trump was “very firm” in pushing for Denmark to relinquish control of Greenland, leaving the Danes “utterly freaked out,” the Financial Times reported on Friday, citing European officials briefed on the matter.

Trump should be making more threats about annexing Canada.

He should also annex northern Mexico and turn it into a Gaza-style concentration camp for immigrants.

Trump Cockblocks Flights Trying to Bring in More Than 1,600 Afghani Traitors https://www.anglinarchive.com/2025/01/22/trump-cockblocks-flights-trying-to-bring-in-more-than-1600-afghani-traitors/ Wed, 22 Jan 2025 00:00:00 +0000

The US shouldn’t be bringing any brown people into our country, including the sickening Indians Elon Musk wants to bury us under.

However, the US specializes in going around and finding the sickest of the sick brown weirdos to flood us with.

These people are traitors to the Afghan Emeriate, and the psychopath Jew government wants us to have them.

No Deal, says Trump!

Reuters:

Nearly 1,660 Afghans cleared by the U.S. government to resettle in the U.S., including family members of active-duty U.S. military personnel, are having their flights canceled under President Donald Trump’s order suspending U.S. refugee programs, a U.S. official and a leading refugee resettlement advocate said on Monday.

The group includes unaccompanied minors awaiting reunification with their families in the U.S. as well as Afghans at risk of Taliban retribution because they fought for the former U.S.-backed Afghan government, said Shawn VanDiver, head of the #AfghanEvac coalition of U.S. veterans and advocacy groups and the U.S. official, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

The “unaccompanied minors” can be reunited in Afghanistan when we deport their families!

The U.S. decision also leaves in limbo thousands of other Afghans who have been approved for resettlement as refugees in the U.S. but have not yet been assigned flights from Afghanistan or from neighboring Pakistan, they said.

…

“Afghans and advocates are panicking,” said VanDiver. “I’ve had to recharge my phone four times already today because so many are calling me.

“We warned them that this was going to happen, but they did it anyway. We hope they will reconsider,” he said of contacts with Trump’s transition team.

VanDiver’s organization is the main coalition that has been working with the U.S. government to evacuate and resettle Afghans in the U.S. since the Taliban seized Kabul as the last U.S. forces left Afghanistan in August 2021 after two decades of war.

He sounds like someone who belongs in prison!

We do not want these people!

This is our country and we live here and we do not want any strangers coming in and taking away our lives.

Nearly 200,000 Afghans have been brought to the U.S. by former President Joe Biden’s administration since the chaotic U.S. troop withdrawal from Kabul.

One of the dozens of executive orders Trump is expected to sign after being sworn in for a second term on Monday suspended U.S. refugee programs for at least four months.

The new White House website said that Trump “is suspending refugee resettlement, after communities were forced to house large and unsustainable populations of migrants, straining community safety and resources.”

…

Minority Democrats on the House Foreign Relations Committee blasted the move, saying in a post on X that “this is what abandonment looks like. Leaving vetted, verified Afghan Allies at the mercy of the Taliban is shameful.”

They include nearly 200 family members of Afghan-American active-duty U.S. service personnel born in the U.S. or of Afghans who came to the U.S., joined the military and became naturalized citizens, they said.

The Taliban are good and if they want to kill these people than I guarantee you that these people deserve to be killed.

Trump has the best relations with the Taliban.

He just did a prisoner swap.

He needs to send the 1,600 traitors home to Afghanistan to face to brutal sword of justice.

If they are in Afghanistan already, I don’t even know what the argument is. Obviously, the Taliban didn’t kill them yet and is apparently letting them flee on planes. So why are they even making this claim?

As for the ones in Pakistan, Trump should sign an executive order demanding that the Pakistanis send them back to Afghanistan to be killed by the Taliban.

It’s Surreal Seeing Fat American Retards Find Out China is a Much Better Country Than America https://www.anglinarchive.com/2025/01/18/its-surreal-seeing-fat-american-retards-find-out-china-is-a-much-better-country-than-america/ Sat, 18 Jan 2025 00:00:00 +0000

It’s so funny that this TikTok ban led people to Xiaohongshu (being called “Rednote” by Americans), where they are finding out that China is actually a much better country than America.

Watch this:

This one is hilarious:

I mean, it’s sort of sad, but it’s so, so funny to me.

You can find many videos like this.

I think my pro-Chinese agenda might finally be on track after all these years.

Having visited China for the first time nearly 20 years ago, it has mostly just been confusing to talk to Americans who claim that Chinese people are oppressed and they’re slaves and so on. Sam Hyde even said this in his viral video about the H-1B scheme. The fact that China is a much better country than America by literally any possible metric you could come up with is like the one thing you’re not allowed to know, somehow. I have struggled to explain to people these issues regarding women, but I’ve made a lot of progress. The China thing is something else altogether.

With regards to this “slave” thing: that was never true. What was true was that when China had its industrial revolution, the working conditions were not great. Anyone can feel free to list off the countries that had great working conditions during their industrial revolutions. Please, feel free.

It’s not any kind of secret in China that a lot of poor people didn’t have a very good time at work during the 1980s and 90s. No one denies that. But that period of their history is long over. Now, you get off the plane in Shanghai, and you feel like you just landed 200 years in the future. It’s incredible.

People who are seeing real China for the first time on Rednote are talking about how people are so happy, how they’re doing so well materially, how advanced and beautiful everything is. If you list off all the problems you have with America, you will find that none of those things are a problem in China. It’s just a better country, period.

Frankly, this issue being exposed is probably the single worst thing that could have happened to the American ruling class. People have to ask why it is that America is such a shithole if a country where people were living in bamboo huts in rice fields a few decades ago is now a futuristic society of abundance.

Why do we have all these foreigners? Why do we have all these homeless people and junkies? Why do we have these brutal cops? Why is everyone struggling financially? If it is actually incompetence and not corruption, that is in fact worse, although there is no real explanation as to how anyone could be this incompetent, which means we are being abused.

Here are some more videos worth watching.

This Rednote Thing Won’t Last Forever

China is not going to want Americans coming onto their platform and spreading the disease of Americanism to their people.

Right now, they’re just banning gays and obvious feds and so on.

They’re coming at it very innocently, as they come at most things, being very friendly and releasing PSAs for American users.

But they’re soon going to realize that American culture is more severe than just homosexuality. People in this country are completely ruined, and their “culture” is a virus that you don’t want your people to be exposed to.

The US is also going to flip out and censor this, because this is literally the last thing they want the American people being aware of.

But hey – it proves again that I’m right about everything.

US Does Sanctions on High-Ranking Member of Orban’s Government https://www.anglinarchive.com/2025/01/09/us-does-sanctions-on-high-ranking-member-of-orbans-government/ Thu, 09 Jan 2025 00:00:00 +0000

America’s Jew ambassador to Hungary

These Biden Jews are really going all out in these last few days.

You would think they would feel shame doing something like this, but they don’t feel shame because they’re Jewish.

AP:

A senior Hungarian government official close to Prime Minister Viktor Orbán was hit Tuesday with U.S. sanctions for his alleged involvement in corruption in Hungary, a rare step against a sitting official in an allied country.

The Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control sanctioned Antal Rogán for corruption while in office. A key figure in Orbán’s government, Rogán is accused of using his position to broker favorable business deals with government-aligned businesspeople, a key part of European Union penalties against Hungary that have withheld billions in funding over official corruption concerns.

Speaking at a news conference in Budapest on Tuesday, U.S. Ambassador to Hungary David Pressman said Rogán was “a primary architect, implementer and beneficiary” of systemic corruption in Hungary which he described as a “kleptocratic ecosystem.”

Antal Rogán

“For too long, senior government officials in Hungary have used positions of power to enrich themselves and their families, moving significant funds from the public purse into private pockets,” Pressman said, adding that there were “many others involved” in such corruption within Hungary’s government.

The head of Orbán’s cabinet office, Rogán oversees the engineering of wide-reaching government communication campaigns that are credited with being instrumental in maintaining Orbán’s power since 2010. Known among critics in Hungary as the “propaganda minister,” Rogán rarely appears in public or gives interviews, but is a veteran advisor to Orbán and also oversees Hungary’s secret services.

State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said in a statement Tuesday that Rogan’s activity “is emblematic of the broader climate of impunity in Hungary where key elements of the state have been captured by oligarchs and undemocratic actors.”

The authority used to designate Rogán is a Trump-era executive order that implements the Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act, which targets human rights abusers and corruption around the world.

The sanctions brought by the outgoing Biden administration reflect U.S. efforts in the last four years to address concerns in Washington that Orbán has led Hungary, a member of the EU and a NATO member, to abandon democratic principles while pursuing closer ties with Russia and China.

Orbán, who backs Donald Trump, has expressed certainty that U.S.-Hungarian relations would improve once the president-elect takes office. Orbán made three visits to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in 2024, while Trump has spoken positively about him.

Ambassador Pressman, whose tenure in Hungary will end this month, has been the subject of intense criticism by Orbán’s government, which accuses him of attempting to interfere in Hungary’s internal affairs.

Responding to the sanctions, Hungary’s foreign minister, Péter Szijjártó, wrote on social media: “This is personal revenge against Antal Rogán by the ambassador sent by the failed U.S. administration to Hungary, but who is now leaving ingloriously and without success.”

“How nice that in a few days’ time the United States will be led by people who see our country as a friend and not an enemy,” Szijjártó wrote.

It’s not really clear that this is how that works.

Maybe Trump will appoint a better ambassador and lift these sanctions. Certainly, Orban has done a lot to try to make that happen. However, none of the employees at the State Department who pushed this agenda on Hungary are going to be fired, and all of the operations being run against Hungary by the State Department will continue, because it’s all of the same people.

Trump was originally saying he was going to fire everyone in the federal government, but that plan disappeared a long time ago.

Remember – this kind of stuff doesn’t make people hate Jews more, it makes people hate Americans more

Homelessness Reaches Record High as True Conservatives Call for Immigrant Tsunami to Rival Metal Gear https://www.anglinarchive.com/2024/12/30/homelessness-reaches-record-high-as-true-conservatives-call-for-immigrant-tsunami-to-rival-metal-gear/ Mon, 30 Dec 2024 00:00:00 +0000

Shouldn’t we be getting the Americans off our streets before we bring in billions of Indians to shit in those selfsame streets?

By bringing in a group of people who shit in the street while so many people live on the streets, do we not risk that people will be shit on?

Is that truly the future we were promised?

RT:

The number of homeless people in the United States has reached a record level since the federal government began tracking teh figures in 2007. According to data released this week, almost three quarters of a million people, 771,000 are homeless in America, an increase of 18% compared to 2023, marking the sharpest annual rise in decades.

The figure published by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) on Friday translates to approximately 23 out of every 10,000 people in the US. The increase follows a 12% rise in 2023, which the department attributed to skyrocketing rents and to the conclusion of pandemic assistance.

A severe lack of affordable housing nationwide is being compounded by “rising inflation, stagnating wages among middle- and lower-income households, and the persisting effects of systemic racism,” natural disasters, and an influx of migrants without access to stable housing, according to the HUD statement.

Frankly, virtually all of the white homeless people are junkies, and no one wants to address the root causes of junkies, instead they just want to say they’ll ban fentanyl, which is completely impossible.

This is another situation like saying you’re going to raise the birthrate by giving women more financial incentives: it’s a complete denial of the actual cause of the problem, because the cause of the problem is politically incorrect to talk about.

All meaning has been stripped from human existence (not in small part because of the women’s liberation movement, one might note). We’re at the point where “junkie living on the street” is a pretty valid life choice.

Like, I’m sure fentanyl feels pretty good, right? It must definitely feel better than being a single middle aged man working at an Amazon warehouse while believing there is no God.

America is still talking about “individualism” and saying society doesn’t exist. You cannot address mass junkies with that attitude, I can tell you that.

Denny’s Continues Collapse as Waffle House Rises https://www.anglinarchive.com/2024/10/31/dennys-continues-collapse-as-waffle-house-rises/ Thu, 31 Oct 2024 00:00:00 +0000

It is a part of history that Nintendo beat Sega.

Soon, Denny’s will fall and Waffle House will stand as the ultimate restaurant.

Parade:

Denny’s is gearing up to close nearly 150 stores nationwide as part of its new growth strategy. According to Restaurant Business, the 71-year-old breakfast chain recently held an investors conference in which management identified the weakest one-fifth of the retail system as being responsible for “dragging down the healthier performers.” This crop of stores will be given a grant offer and loan accessibility in order to improve the brand’s overall consistency.

Of the 150 stores identified as weak financial performers, nearly half will be completely shut down by the end of this year, with the other half shutting down for good later in 2025. Denny’s CEO Kelli Valade told investors, “We believe this is absolutely the right thing to do to make our system stronger.”

Valade’s comments come after the franchisor reported a 0.1-percent decrease in same-store sales from the Denny’s brand in this year’s third quarter alone. She also noted that the closures were necessary to reach HQ’s goals of raising the annual average store volume to $2.2 million and slapping a fresh face on the Denny’s brand. This all comes at a time where the brand has experienced significant loss in traffic across the board, resulting in a 20-percent decrease in sales. “Everyone has lost traffic. Everyone,” Valade told investors.

Denny’s chief development officer, Steve Dunn, gives the weakest performing one-fifth of the chain credit as hurting the rest of the system due to old and outdated stores and markets whose dynamic customer base had unfortunately changed. Dunn essentially quoted the company as “pruning those stores for the benefit of the survivors.”

The battle is real.

Waffle House is much better in every way, including being much better to look at with your eyes.

The food is a million times better, and it also has only booths and a bar, like a proper diner.

Denny’s is a stain on the soul of this great nation.

Who knows what kinds of people were going to Denny’s. I would assume it was a hotspot for homosexual pedophiles and terrorists, but I do not have any experience with Denny’s personally.

There can only be one.

Dockworkers (Pinko Scum) Start Massive Strike, Close Ports Whining About Robots https://www.anglinarchive.com/2024/10/02/dockworkers-pinko-scum-start-massive-strike-close-ports-whining-about-robots/ Wed, 02 Oct 2024 00:00:00 +0000

People are saying this is important. It doesn’t feel very important to me.

People are saying it’s going to trigger economic crisis and blah-blah, whatever.

Maybe. Who knows?

People whining about “the economy” is tiresome.

I really only care about crypto markets. I don’t buy things and I live in a guesthouse for free. I don’t buy imported food or plastic PFAS “let’s make this baby a faggot already” diapers. “The economy” has no effect on me. I feel for others, I’m sure. But not enough to actually get upset about “the economy.”

Shit sucks, I’m sure. But maybe people should recognize that this is the most materially abundant period in all of human history, that this is one of the singular benefits of the age we live in, and just relax.

I mean, do you people know who Asmangold is? He’s a streamer who probably got $40 million, he still lives in his mom’s house, because all he wants to do is sit around and play video games anyway. I’m not saying you should just play video games all day, but if you’re worried about material things in the current year, you’re doing something wrong.

Obviously, nothing is fair, and we all deserve much more than we’re getting. But it is what it is, you know? If you’re not a heavy cocaine user or you have some woman demanding designer bags, you should be clever enough to make things work. Just do what you want to do. Things will work out. Nothing ever happens anyway.

Fox Business:

Unionized dockworkers at East Coast and Gulf Coast ports began a strike Monday that will affect the flow of goods through ports that handle about half of seaborne trade to the U.S. and could have an impact on food prices.

Ports affected by the International Longshoremen’s Association strike are key hubs for food imports from places like South America and Central America. For example, about two-thirds of bananas arrive at East Coast and Gulf Coast ports.

Oh, man.

Not the bananas.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) released a statement Tuesday saying it doesn’t anticipate food prices will be significantly affected by the port strike in the near term.

Anti-robot fat squad assembles

“Our analysis shows we should not expect significant changes to food prices or availability in the near term,” the USDA said. “Thanks to the typically smooth movement through the ports of goods, and our strong domestic agricultural production, we do not expect shortages anytime in the near future for most items. Likewise, non-containerized bulk export shipments, including grains, would be unaffected by this strike.

…

Alexander Field, an economics professor at Santa Clara University’s Leavey School of Business, told FOX Business perishable food items would be among the sensitive categories of products to price increases or shortages due to the strike.

“If there is an impact … it will be on perishables, perishable food — that being the immediate one as opposed to some of the other categories such as cars and trucks, machinery, furniture, clothes, etc.,” Field said.

“But if the strike endures, that can happen, and that will produce shortages. The shortages will produce upward pressure on prices, which means the inflation rate rises. And if it continues, it has the potential to push up the unemployment rate and slow the growth of GDP.”

Volodymyr Babich, professor of operations and analytics at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, told FOX Business, “Retailers typically hold inventory that can help them manage short-term disruptions. However, most do not have sufficient stock to meet demand for an extended period, especially over several weeks. This is particularly true for perishable items, such as bananas, which have a limited shelf life.”

…

“A prolonged disruption at U.S. ports, both due to the strike and the congestion that will follow, could send shockwaves through global supply chains. We may see opportunistic price increases by some retailers, panic buying and hoarding by both businesses and consumers, even for products that are not directly impacted by the strike,” Babich said.

“Rockefeller was right about unions” may sound like a shock humor statement, but when you see these obese peasants whining with their signs, it does seem like it would be better if some robber baron hired thugs to go machinegun them.

The labor system isn’t fair, and the way the rich have consolidated wealth is a total disaster for the entire planet, so maybe I should have more sympathy.

Maybe living like a monk for my entire adult life has left me jaded and incapable of caring about the material desires of my fellow man, who I view as whiny and pathetic subhuman husks.

I respect ambition or stoicism in men. Other dispositions I find repulsive and personally offensive.

Lives of no consequence led by entitled people appear to intrude on me, physically and spiritually.

I compare these beastly dockworkers to similar peasants, in Russia or Vietnam for example, men who do their jobs with a stiff upper lip aided by a stiff drink and don’t go around whining.

The parasites will be excited when they’re dead.

That’s the only excitement that will ever be associated with fat commie dockworkers who hate robots and demand luddite policies so they can maintain their menial labor. They were never excited and they never caused excitement in anyone else.

Either send in a private army to machine gun them all or just give them what they want.

Or just tell people they can’t have bananas.

It doesn’t really matter to me.

Fatmerica Thanks Ozempic for First Ever Drop in Obesity https://www.anglinarchive.com/2024/09/25/fatmerica-thanks-ozempic-for-first-ever-drop-in-obesity/ Wed, 25 Sep 2024 00:00:00 +0000

Why did it take so long to think to give Americans fat pills?

Daily Mail:

There are early signs that obesity rates may have decreased in the US for the first time.

A report released Tuesday by the CDC found that 40 percent of US adults were obese from 2021 to 2023, down from 42 percent from 2017 to 2020.

This is the first time there has been a year-on-year decrease since the CDC began regularly tracking the metric in 2013, though the change is not statistically significant.

At the very least, it means obesity rates are not increasing anymore. The downward tick comes amid the rise of Ozempic and other weight-loss drugs, though experts say it’s slightly too early to know if they are playing a role.

Despite the tentative positive trend, obesity rates are still higher than 10 years ago, when 38 percent of adults had a BMI over 30, and more Americans are morbidly obese than ever.

What a simple solution.

Great job, America.

We knew you could do it.
