Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, who oversees the Secret Service, on Monday slammed the security at Donald Trump’s rally and admitted the gunman never should have had a clear sight on him.

“A direct line of sight like that to the former president should not occur,” Mayorkas told ABC News’ “Good Morning America.”

That’s right.

Snipers should not be allowed to shoot former presidents.

Officials said Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, was stationed on a rooftop near Trump’s campaign event in Butler, Pa., on Saturday evening when he fired multiple rounds at the 78-year-old former president and spectators before he was ultimately killed by a Secret Service sniper.

The DHS chief backed President Biden’s call for an “independent review of the incident,” which left Trump injured after a bullet grazed his ear, a spectator killed and two others injured.

“We are going to really study the event independently and make recommendations to the Secret Service and to me so that we can assure the safety and security of our protectees, which is one of our most vital missions in the Secret Service, the Department of Homeland Security and across the government,” Mayorkas said.

Yeah, well.

House Republicans impeached Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Tuesday, reversing their failed vote on the extraordinary move a week ago — and setting up a showdown in the Democratic-controlled Senate.

The House voted 214-213 to pass two articles of impeachment against President Biden’s chief border enforcement officer on charges of “willful and systemic refusal to comply” with federal immigration law and lying to Congress about the border being “secure.”

Oh, so actually this is just a big jerk-off.

The Democrats in the Senate won’t impeach this Jew.

Especially not after his uncle was forced into a cage with an eagle and a bear.

Mayorkas, 64, is only the second Cabinet official to be impeached after Secretary of War William Belknap, who resigned in 1876 from President Ulysses S. Grant’s administration hours before the House formally charged him with corruption.

Belknap was later acquitted by the Senate — an outcome also likely for Mayorkas given that politically vulnerable Senate Democrats such as Jon Tester of Montana have dismissed the House’s impeachment push as “political games.”

But some Republicans in the Senate — which puts individuals on trial if they are impeached, or charged, by the House — are vowing to make the case for removal nonetheless.

“There will absolutely be many who believe his case merits removal from office and will vote accordingly,” a Senate GOP aide told The Post. “Since Democrats control the chamber, however, it’s basically certain that the vote will fail — if [Senate Majority Leader Chuck] Schumer [D-NY] allows it to happen in the first place.”

Over 600,000 people illegally made their way into the United States without being apprehended by border agents during the 2023 fiscal year, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas revealed Tuesday.

Mayorkas disclosed the number during a hearing on national security on Capitol Hill, in which he insisted the gotaways have been a problem at the border for “decades.”

Mayorkas is Jewish, by the way. He’s not Greek as the name would imply and he’s not Cuban as he claims. He’s a ratty kike weasel using the genetic sludge of the world to destroy America.

You could probably add a zero onto the number this Jew is giving.

What evidence is there to disprove that? You look around, in any city, and you see these people everywhere. It looks like a lot more than 3.8 million plus 600,000. It looks like more than ten million – at least.

“The phenomenon of gotaways is something that has been a challenge for the department of homeland security for decades,” the Biden-appointed secretary said.

Astonishingly, he added: “In fact, it is a powerful example of a broken immigration system.”

Customs and Border Protection figures released since the financial year ended on Sept 30 showed 900,000 migrants had been allowed into the country legally along the southwest border under humanitarian parole, allowing them to pursue asylum applications.

I think they’re lying about the 900,000 legals, too. Those numbers would be a lot harder to fudge, but I don’t trust that number.

When the number of added to the number of Gotaways, that makes 1.5m migrants who have crossed the border in the last year, many of whom are now straining services in major metropolitan cities including New York, Chicago, Denver and Washington D.C.

During the Tuesday hearing, Sen. Roger Marshall (R., Kansas) said the total number of gotaways alone since Biden took office in 2021 was 1.7 million people, a stat which was backed by the findings of the Republican Comittee on Homeland Security and published last week.

Since the new year started, that number hasn’t let up, with CBP chief Jason Owens sounding the alarm, saying over 1,000 people a day are still slipping over the borders.

This issue doesn’t even matter anymore.

Specifically, he said, the department will integrate AI into supply chains and cargo screening, predicting the technology will be able to accurately detect products made with slave labor, zero in on fentanyl and precursor chemical shipments, and even “target for disruption key nodes in the criminal networks” powering both. It can also protect electric grids, water supplies, and other critical infrastructure, he added.

Mayorkas acknowledged on Thursday his task force would also investigate the nefarious purposes AI could serve – the better to defend against them, of course.

U.S. airport security procedures will become more gender-neutral, with changes to scanners used for screening and the use of an “X” for travelers going through Precheck who do not identify as male or female, the Biden administration said Thursday.

Transportation Security Administration officers will also receive new instructions on screening intended to make procedures less invasive, the Department of Homeland Security said in a statement.

They are among a series of travel-security measures announced by the department in conjunction with Transgender Day of Visibility. President Joe Biden is marking the day by advocating against what his administration terms “dangerous anti-transgender legislative attacks” that have passed in statehouses across the country.

“DHS is committed to protecting the traveling public while ensuring that everyone, regardless of gender identity, is treated with respect,” Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said in the statement.

The use of the “X” pronoun in the TSA Precheck advanced security program will begin April 11 and is intended to keep pace with identity documents that already include that option, DHS said. A new “X” gender marker on U.S. passport applications also begins April 11.

Later this year, TSA will begin using scanners with new technology that will replace gender-based systems and are intended to “advance civil rights and improve the customer experience.”

So… I still don’t understand the plan.
