An Afghan women’s group on Friday hailed a decision by the International Criminal Court to arrest Taliban leaders for their persecution of women.

The International Criminal Court’s chief prosecutor Karim Khan announced Thursday he had requested arrest warrants for two top Taliban officials, including the leader Hibatullah Akhundzada.

Since they took back control of the country in 2021, the Taliban have barred women from jobs, most public spaces and education beyond sixth grade.

An official in the former Western-backed administration warned the Taliban leadership was likely to exploit the decision for propaganda purposes by framing it as proof of their strong faith and resilience.

“They may tell their followers that their beliefs are so powerful they have provoked the collective opposition of global powers,” Mohammad Halim Fidai said on the X platform. Fidai was a governor of four provinces before the takeover and now lives outside Afghanistan. “This decision could inadvertently serve as a badge of honor or credibility for them.”

A senior Taliban figure has urged the group’s leader to scrap education bans on Afghan women and girls, saying there is no excuse for them, in a rare public rebuke of government policy.

Sher Abbas Stanikzai, political deputy at the Foreign Ministry, made the remarks in a speech on Saturday in southeastern Khost province.

He told an audience at a religious school ceremony there was no reason to deny education to women and girls, “just as there was no justification for it in the past and there shouldn’t be one at all.”

The government has barred females from education after sixth grade. Last September, there were reports authorities had also stopped medical training and courses for women.

In Afghanistan, women and girls can only be treated by female doctors and health professionals. Authorities have yet to confirm the medical training ban.

“We call on the leadership again to open the doors of education,” said Stanikzai in a video shared by his official account on the social platform X. “We are committing an injustice against 20 million people out of a population of 40 million, depriving them of all their rights. This is not in Islamic law, but our personal choice or nature.”

Stanikzai was once the head of the Taliban team in talks that led to the complete withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan.

Ibraheem Bahiss, an analyst with Crisis Group’s South Asia program, said Stanikzai had periodically made statements calling girls’ education a right of all Afghan women.

“However, this latest statement seems to go further in the sense that he is publicly calling for a change in policy and questioned the legitimacy of the current approach,” Bahiss said.

Yeah, I’m thinking this isn’t going to fly.

The Taliban say they will close all national and foreign nongovernmental groups in Afghanistan employing women, the latest crackdown on women’s rights since they took power in August 2021.

The announcement comes two years after they told NGOs to suspend the employment of Afghan women, allegedly because they didn’t wear the Islamic headscarf correctly.

In a letter published on X Sunday night, the Economy Ministry warned that failure to comply with the latest order would lead to NGOs losing their license to operate in Afghanistan.

The Economy Ministry said it was responsible for the registration, coordination, leadership and supervision of all activities carried out by national and foreign organizations.

The government was once again ordering the stoppage of all female work in institutions not controlled by the Taliban, according to the letter.

“In case of lack of cooperation, all activities of that institution will be canceled and the activity license of that institution, granted by the ministry, will also be canceled.”

What good has a woman ever done with an education beyond sixth grade?

The Taliban is so awesome, they invent new restrictions on women that no one else has ever even thought about before, but which make perfect sense.

Why should anyone have to look out their window and see women?

The Afghan Taliban’s supreme leader, Hibatullah Akhundzada, has issued a decree banning windows in residential buildings that overlook areas used by women. The ruling is part of the government’s wider campaign to implement Sharia law across the country.

The statement, published by Taliban government spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, outlines “the manner of placing windows facing neighboring buildings during construction.”

New buildings should not have windows through which it is possible to see “the courtyard, kitchen, neighbour’s well and other places usually used by women,” the statement reads. Existing windows with such views should be blocked, it adds.

“Seeing women working in kitchens, in courtyards or collecting water from wells can lead to obscene acts,” the document says.

The Taliban is like a futurist organization.

They are designing a whole new order for civilization, where men will finally be protected from the endless abuses of women.

I don’t think the Taliban believes in global warming. The point here is, they’re now allowed to attend international events as a normal country. This is something that the US tried to prevent after surrendering to them in 2021, claiming that they were not a normal country because they don’t have gay sex or let sluts run buckwild.

The US is losing all of these arguments about “the bad guys” these days. First they did that thing to Russia, starting this ridiculous and dangerous war with them, and then cutting them out of the international financial system (something which was not even done to Hitler). Then they offered totally unconditional support for the Jews committing a genocide. Every country on earth save the direct vassals of the US wants the Americans to lose power.

More and more, the United Nations, founded by the US, is moving into the Chinese sphere of influence. The UN is against Israel, they are open to meeting with Putin, they are largely refusing to go along with the US attempt to isolate China.

If Americans are out of power, there is no one to whine about how the Taliban is evil.

Afghan Taliban officials will attend a major United Nations climate conference that starts next week, the Afghan Foreign Ministry said on Sunday, the first time they have attended since the former insurgents took power in 2021.

The COP29 climate summit in Azerbaijan’s capital Baku will be among the highest-profile multilateral events attended by Taliban administration officials since they took control in Kabul after 20 years of fighting NATO-backed forces.

The U.N. has not allowed the Taliban to take up Afghanistan’s seat at the General Assembly, and Afghanistan’s government is not formally recognised by U.N. member states, largely due to the Taliban’s restrictions on women’s education and freedom of movement.

Well, it looks like that’s changing!

There is no international law that says you have to be ruled over by women. If there was such a law, it would not be valid, but there is no such law.

Afghan Foreign Ministry spokesman Abdul Qahar Balkhi said officials from the National Environmental Protection Agency had arrived in Azerbaijan to attend the COP conference. The Taliban took over the agency when they returned to power as U.S.-led forces withdrew.

Taliban officials have taken part in U.N.-organised meetings on Afghanistan in Doha, and Taliban ministers have attended forums in China and Central Asia in the past two years.

Yeah, China doesn’t care. They understand not wanting to be ruled by women.

When acting in the international sphere, China is like the Good Guy Greg meme.

In actual reality, the Chinese policy of “countries should be allowed to run their own internal affairs as they see fit” is how the UN should function, and if the UN did function that way, no one would really have a problem with it existing as a forum for countries to discuss international issues.

Of course, right now, the UN is obsessed with getting into everyone’s business. But again, that has begun to change a lot since 2022 and a lot more since the Jewish assault on Gaza, because the US is losing influence.

The Americans did an endless war in Afghanistan for 20 years before surrendering and fleeing the scene.

Now, China is going into the country to help the people and do development.

Afghan authorities have distributed China-donated aid to needy families, primarily recent returnees, in the eastern Khost and western Herat provinces, officials reported on Thursday.

In Khost city, capital of Khost province, 87 families received aid packages distributed by Acting Minister for Refugees and Repatriation Affairs Khalil Rahman Haqqani. The packages, designed to help families through the winter, included tents, sweaters, shoes, and other essential items.

Expressing gratitude to China for its support, Haqqani emphasized that each family received goods valued at 19,000 Afghanis (about 282 U.S. dollars). He added that the timely assistance would help alleviate the challenges facing impoverished families.

The aid recipients are mostly returnees from Pakistan and other neighboring countries. “I am grateful to China for providing tents and winter clothing, and I hope to receive more assistance from China in the future,” said Shafi Mohammad, one of the aid beneficiaries, to Xinhua.

Unlike the United States, which claims to be helping the world out of pure kindness, China openly says that it is in their own interest to promote global peace and stability. They do not claim to be acting on some ridiculous notion of “state altruism.”

It makes zero sense that any state should be an international charity. Obviously, the US foreign aid system is a fraud, and designed to prop up corrupt leaders in poor countries. Egypt gets the most aid (second only to Israel) and the reason they get this aid is so their dictator will continue to assist Israel. It’s not charity, it’s a bribe.

When China does international things like giving Afghans money, they will openly say “we want to promote peace and stability globally because that is good for our country.”

China is doing deals in Afghanistan, they are going to develop the country.

You might also note that China doesn’t go into countries and start doing social engineering, telling them to respect women and become homosexuals.

ALL Afghan women have automatic right to “asylum” because simply being a woman in Afghanistan is “a human rights violation.” The Taliban doesn’t allow women to have sex with random men, they don’t allow abortions or slut clothes, therefore Europe has an absolute responsibility to transfer the entire female population out of Afghanistan to somewhere they can eat/pray/love.

The European court of justice (ECJ) has ruled that gender and nationality alone are sufficient grounds for a country to grant asylum to women from Afghanistan, where the ruling Taliban have sharply curtailed women’s rights.

Authorities in Austria refused refugee status to two Afghan women after they applied for asylum in 2015 and 2020. The women challenged the refusal before the Austrian supreme administrative court, which in turn requested a ruling from the ECJ, the top European Union court.

“It is unnecessary to establish that there is a risk that the applicant will actually and specifically be subject to acts of persecution if she returns to her country of origin,” the ECJ said in its ruling. “It is sufficient to take into account her nationality and gender alone.”

That sentence is so nuts on so many different levels.

Generally, these people primarily want male immigrants, expecting them to impregnate white women. White women of course always want there to be more men than women, in order to inflate their value.

But Afghanistan is such an extreme case that every woman from there has a right to live in Europe permanently.

It sure does demonstrate just how good the Taliban is at what they do, huh?

In a groundbreaking decision, the Nagoya High Court granted Japanese nationality to a child born in Japan to Afghan refugees because the parents were essentially “stateless” at the time of birth.

The Sept. 11 ruling allows the 1-year-old girl, who was born in Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture, in November 2022, to be registered as a Japanese citizen.

The girl’s parents fled Afghanistan after the Taliban took over and were granted refugee status in Japan in August 2023. They filed a petition with the Toyohashi branch of the Nagoya Family Court seeking Japanese nationality for their child.

The family court rejected the request in November 2023, citing the parents’ failure to complete the necessary procedures to renounce their Afghan citizenship.

In the Sept. 11 ruling, Presiding Judge Yasuhiro Hasegawa noted that the Taliban had seized control over Afghanistan by force in 2021.

“Although the Taliban declared the establishment of a nation, it has not been officially recognized as a state or government by the international community, including Japan,” Hasegawa stated.

The court determined that the parents, although technically Afghan citizens, were effectively stateless when their child was born.

Therefore, the girl met the legal requirements for Japanese citizenship, as stipulated in the Japanese Nationality Law, which grants Japanese nationality to children born in Japan to stateless parents.

“This decision opens the door for children in similar situations to be raised in Japan,” said Yasuyuki Nagai, the lawyer representing the family.

More than 130 Afghan women have gathered in Albania at an All Afghan Women summit, in an attempt to develop a united voice representing the women and girls of Afghanistan in the fight against the ongoing assault on human rights by the Taliban.

Some women who attempted to reach the summit from inside Afghanistan were prevented from travelling, pulled off flights in Pakistan or stopped at borders. Other women have travelled from countries including Iran, Canada, the UK and the US where they are living as refugees.

The summit, which has been two years in the making, is being hosted by the Albanian government in Tirana after multiple other governments across the region refused, said the organisers.

The summit comes a few weeks after the Taliban published new “vice and virtue” laws that banned women’s voices being heard in public and made it mandatory for women to completely cover their bodies outside the home.

At the end of the three-day summit, the organisers hope to publish a set of demands or guidelines for the international community that sets out how Afghan women want to respond to the systematic attack on their rights and freedom by the Taliban.

These women should be punished when they go home.

This is revolutionary material.

The Taliban’s repressive control over women and girls in Afghanistan is unparalleled and will jeopardize the country’s future, the U.N. rights chief warned Monday.

Volker Türk said new morality laws that ban women’s voices and bare faces in public, along with sweeping bans on education and most jobs, were outrageous and amounted to systematic gender persecution.

“I shudder to think what is next for the women and girls of Afghanistan,” Türk told the U.N. Human Rights Council in Geneva. The Taliban were not immediately available for comment.

The Taliban — who took over Afghanistan in 2021 during the final weeks of U.S. and NATO withdrawal — have excluded women from most areas of public life and stopped girls from going to school beyond sixth grade, despite initial promises of a more moderate rule.

They are also restricting women’s access to work, travel and health care if they are unmarried or don’t have a male guardian, and punishing those who don’t comply with the Taliban’s interpretation of hijab, or Islamic headscarf.

Everyone in the West knows that if we banned women, everything would be better basically immediately.

There was some argument before that liberating women would do something good for society. Literally no one believes that anymore. I don’t even think most women would try to make that argument. The reason we have women’s rights is that it’s a moral imperative. No one understands the basis of the morality. It’s not from the Bible or any other religion. It’s just “in a democracy it’s our values that women must have rights, even if that destroys everything.”
