Alright, buckle up folks, we’re diving into some heavy international politics. Today, we’re talking about the dynamic duo of Russia and China, who are teaming up to take on the Western world order that was put in place after the Cold War. That’s right, they’re throwing down the gauntlet and saying “we don’t fit in, so we’re gonna make our own system and do it better.”

This whole thing started a decade ago when China’s prez, Xi Jinping, visited Russia for the first time. Fast forward to now, and he’s back for his third term, and boy has he been right about the world taking some twists and turns.

But let me tell you, understanding China’s political culture is like deciphering a secret code, and only the most subtle connoisseurs can pick up on the nuances. That said, one thing we can pick up on is that Xi is all about combining ancient traditions with modern-day China, creating something unique that’s not at all like the Western system.

Meanwhile, Russia has been dealing with its own set of struggles. They’ve been trying to integrate into the Western world order, but let’s be real, the West hasn’t exactly been supportive. And with geopolitical conflicts heating up, Russia has reached its limit. But don’t worry, they’ve found a buddy in China, and together they’re ready to take on the world.

Now, the Chinese are being careful with their words because they don’t want to sound like they’re in an alliance or anything, but let’s call a spade a spade. These two are teaming up to change the game. And let’s be honest, with China’s economic prowess and Russia’s military might, they might just have what it takes to shake things up.

So, what does this all mean for the rest of us? Well, it means that the world is in for some serious changes. The old world order is being challenged, and we’ll have to wait and see what comes next. But one thing’s for sure, with these two powerhouse countries joining forces, things are about to get real interesting.

China as a Convenient Scapegoat: The True Causes of the Fentanyl Crisis Lie Closer to Home https://www.anglinarchive.com/2023/03/04/china-as-a-convenient-scapegoat-the-true-causes-of-the-fentanyl-crisis-lie-closer-to-home/ Sat, 04 Mar 2023 00:00:00 +0000

As I sit down to write this piece, I’m struck by the sheer lunacy of the US government’s obsession with blaming China for the fentanyl crisis. It’s as if they’ve found a new boogeyman to blame all of their problems on, instead of taking responsibility for the crisis of despair that has led so many Americans to turn to this deadly drug.

Let’s start with the so-called evidence. The US government claims that China is the source of most of the fentanyl that enters the country. But where is the hard proof? The truth is that the US government has never proven their case. It’s all hearsay and speculation.

Even the major works that have accused China of fueling the US fentanyl crisis admit that China has cracked down on the precursor chemicals. In his book, “Fentanyl, Inc.”, author Ben Westhoff notes that “China has banned 25 precursor chemicals used to make fentanyl, and severely restricted exports of 20 more.” So, if China is cracking down on the precursor chemicals, how can they be blamed for the crisis?

And let’s not forget that the precursor chemicals still require a complex laboratory to produce fentanyl. It’s not like someone can just mix a few chemicals in their bathtub and come up with fentanyl. The production process is complex and requires specialized equipment and knowledge.

But even if China were the source of all the fentanyl in the US, it’s still a distraction from the real problems facing the country. While the US government is obsessing over China, they’re ignoring the fact of the crisis of despair that primarily affects white males in the country. This group is facing a range of problems, from economic hardship to social isolation, that are driving them to turn to drugs like fentanyl.

And while the US government is busy pointing fingers at China, they’re failing to address the loosening of drug enforcement in the country. A couple decades ago, people were sentenced to decades in prison for minor drug offenses. Now you get caught with hard drugs, you’re unlikely to even spend a single night in jail. We can debate whether the 1990s era was too harsh on addicts, but putting that debate aside, it’s simply a fact that it’s hardly surprising that people are more quick to turn to hard drugs today than they were then.

It’s clear that the obsession with blaming China for fentanyl is a talking point of war hawks who are more interested in starting a new Cold War than in actually solving problems. They’re using China as a scapegoat to distract from the serious problems facing the country.

And it’s not just fentanyl. The US government and media are inventing other problems that China is supposedly responsible for. They claim that TikTok is part of a conspiracy to steal American data, and that Chinese weather balloons are actually spy balloons. These claims are absurd and have no evidence to back them up.

It’s time for the US government to stop obsessing over China and start focusing on the real problems facing the country. Instead of pointing fingers and looking for someone to blame, they need to take responsibility for the crisis of despair that is driving so many Americans to turn to drugs like fentanyl and they need to consider whether it makes sense for hard drugs to be de facto decriminalized. It’s time for real solutions, not distractions and scapegoating.

In Search of the Fish: Exploring the Health Benefits of Eating Fish https://www.anglinarchive.com/2023/03/04/in-search-of-the-fish-exploring-the-health-benefits-of-eating-fish/ Sat, 04 Mar 2023 00:00:00 +0000

As I sit here on this rickety boat, bobbing up and down on the endless sea, I can’t help but wonder about the fish that swim beneath me. What secrets do they hold? What mysteries lurk in their slimy depths? And most importantly, why should we care about these slippery creatures?

Well, my dear readers, the answer is simple: fish are not just a tasty treat, but a crucial component of a healthy diet. And if we don’t eat enough of them, we’re risking our health in more ways than one.

So let’s embark on a journey, shall we? A journey into the world of fish and all its wonders. Let’s explore the health benefits of these aquatic creatures and the risks of not consuming enough of them. Let’s discover why fish are the unsung heroes of the food world and why we should all be eating more of them. And who knows, maybe we’ll even catch a few ourselves along the way. So buckle up, my friends, and let’s dive deep into the world of fish!

Health Benefits of Eating Fish:

  • Fish is a great source of omega-3 fatty acids, which can help keep our hearts healthy and our brains sharp.
  • Eating fish regularly can help reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke, and cancer.
  • Fish is a good source of protein, which is essential for building and repairing tissues.
  • Fish contains vitamins and minerals that are important for maintaining healthy bones, skin, and immune function.

Risks of Not Eating Enough Fish:

  • A diet low in fish can increase the risk of heart disease, stroke, and depression.
  • Consuming fish regularly can help reduce the risk of age-related macular degeneration (AMD), which is a leading cause of blindness in older adults.
  • Not eating enough fish may increase the risk of osteoporosis, a condition that weakens bones, and can lead to fractures.

The American Heart Association recommends eating fish at least twice a week to keep our bodies and minds in top form. The recommended serving size is 3.5 ounces or about the size of a deck of cards. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consume 8 to 12 ounces of fish per week but avoid high-mercury fish, such as shark, swordfish, and king mackerel.

So there you have it, folks. The fish are a crucial component of a healthy diet, and we should treat them as such. Eat your fish, and eat it well, for your body and your brain will thank you. And who knows, maybe one day we’ll all be swimming with the sharks, but only if we’re healthy enough to do so!

Conservative Media: Stop Blaming China and Start Looking Inward https://www.anglinarchive.com/2023/03/02/conservative-media-stop-blaming-china-and-start-looking-inward/ Thu, 02 Mar 2023 00:00:00 +0000

NOW – Committee on China interrupted: “China is not our enemy.” pic.twitter.com/h92CaXQ9CD

— Disclose.tv (@disclosetv) March 1, 2023

Have you heard about the latest threat to American security? It’s not a virus or a foreign power trying to interfere with our elections. No, it’s TikTok and Chinese balloons. At least, that’s what the US conservative media would have you believe.

Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, and Ben Shapiro are just a few of the voices in the conservative media who are obsessed with painting China as the ultimate enemy of the United States. They claim that Chinese-owned apps and products are a threat to our national security, and that we need to take action to stop them.

But let’s be real: TikTok and Chinese balloons are not the source of our problems in America. They are distractions, nothing more. By focusing so much on China, the conservative media is giving Democrats a pass for the real problems they’ve created in this country.

I’m not just critical of the US conservative media – I’m critical of the entire US government, including both political parties. We need change at home, not another foreign enemy to distract us from our problems.

The status of the US as an empire is harmful to the native people of this country. While the government starts wars abroad, our own citizens are being replaced by a flow of immigrants and told to die of drugs. The decline of the family and the alienation caused by technology mean that there is no meaning in the life of people. When people are dissatisfied with their lives, they will become more supportive of wars of aggression.

Blaming China for our problems won’t fix anything. It’s time to focus on what’s really happening in our own country, and to address the real issues that are harming our people.

China is not the source of our problems in America, and we are never going to fix anything as long as we are blaming others.

It’s time to end the anti-China circus and start focusing on what really matters: the well-being of our own people.

Bummer: Ukrainians Preparing to Surrender “Bakhmut” https://www.anglinarchive.com/2023/03/01/bummer-ukrainians-preparing-to-surrender-bakhmut/ Wed, 01 Mar 2023 00:00:00 +0000

Well, well, well, folks, feast your eyes on this embarrassing video from Yarem! It’s a downright shame to see the destruction of an M777 Howitzer in Bakhmut. This baby is supposed to be the crème de la crème of howitzer cannons in NATO, and yet it looks like it’s been through the wringer. This bad boy has a pretty recent operational history, too – it was first used by the Canadians in Afghanistan in 2005, and then quickly adopted by our military and the Brits as the go-to howitzer. But, as they say, all good things must come to an end, and it looks like this little fella’s time has finally come.

Ukrainian forces in the embattled city of Artyomovsk may be considering a retreat, according to a slick economic adviser to President Vladimir Zelensky who claimed in an interview with CNN on Tuesday.

Alexander Rodnyansky, a man who exudes all the charm of a snake oil salesman, stated that Russia is attempting to encircle Artyomovsk (called Bakhmut in Ukraine) by using the best troops from the Wagner private military company. He told CNN’s Isa Soares that Kiev’s forces would retreat or “strategically give up” the city “if they believed the costs of holding it outweigh the benefits.” Rodnyansky added that the Ukrainian military “is obviously going to weigh all the options,” as if that wasn’t completely obvious.

“So far, they’ve held the city, but, if need be, they will strategically pull back – because we’re not going to sacrifice all of our people just for nothing,” the presidential adviser claimed, arguing that it was ultimately up to the military to decide if and when a withdrawal was required.

Rodnyansky stated that the region west of the city had been fortified and that if Kiev’s forces pulled out of Artyomovsk, Russian troops would not be able to advance quickly. “Make no mistake, our counter-offensives will be around the corner soon,” he insisted.

Artyomovsk is part of a 70km Ukrainian defense line created since Kiev initiated the fighting in Donbass in 2014. Russia claims sovereignty over the city along with the rest of the Donetsk People’s Republic. And to be honest, who can blame them? It’s not like Ukraine has done much to earn the loyalty of the people living in that region.

In a months-long campaign, Russian forces, primarily Wagner members, have systematically captured settlements around the city and now have Artyomovsk surrounded from the north, south, and east. It’s like shooting fish in a barrel for these guys.

This little cutiepie waited six months for those Aryan supermen of the Wagner company to swoop in and sweep her off her feet! Those guys sure are a trip, and this little lady should be quite proud of herself. you sure don’t see anyone waiting for the Ukrainains, do you? Might be because of the nasty behavior, I suppose.

CNN also spoke to a Ukrainian soldier who wished to remain anonymous, and who described the situation in Artyomovsk as “much worse than officially reported.” “We should add another 100% difficulty to the official reports. In all directions. Especially in the northern direction where the [Russians] have made the biggest advance,” he said. So much for transparency from the Ukrainian government.

Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar stated on Tuesday that more reinforcements are being sent to the strategically vital city. This was confirmed on Wednesday by the head of Wagner, Evgeny Prigozhin, who said Kiev had sent tens of thousands of its best fighters to Artyomovsk. “They are putting up fierce resistance. The bloodshed of the battles is increasing every day,” Prigozhin noted.

Meanwhile, Kiev’s Western backers have reportedly called on Zelensky to cut his losses and withdraw. The Ukrainian president previously declared that “nobody is going to surrender Bakhmut,” but has recently changed his tune after Kiev’s forces suffered significant losses. The Ukrainian leader now claims that the city will be held “while it remains reasonable” to do so. Good luck with that.
